Casa Dei Bambini School and Nido Montessori Nursery are AMI-accredited authentic Montessori settings based in Hampstead that accept children from 10 months to 6 years of age.

The school is committed to each child as an individual and follows their own needs and learning journeys. All the children are free to learn at their own pace. A small class size supports the growth of solid friendships, and a mixed-aged group allows the older children to cement their learning and gain confidence when teaching younger friends. Strong role models are imperative to education, and children blossom by following those they respect and can learn from. The owner is the Head Teacher in school daily and knows each child individually.

There's an emphasis on parent education, and once a month you are invited into the classrooms to learn about the Montessori method and how they can apply it in the home environment.

There's access to a sunny, secure garden and in good weather, the doors are left open and the children have full access to the garden. The children visit a local park and playground twice a week and have access to music, dance and ballet lessons.

The school aims to ensure that all children leave as happy, rounded individuals who love learning and are fully prepared for the next stage in their young life.

My older son went to the same Montessori from October 2011 until August 2013 and had a wonderful experience, with terrific grounding and preparation for school. I therefore didn't think twice about sending my youngest son and he is equally happy despite a significant change in staff. The nursery is
incredibly nurturing and by being quite small they can identify any slight problems quickly and help address them. The children get an excellent tactile and visual understanding of maths and a broad exposure to all other areas of the future curriculum.

The teachers make this nursery so special. The children are well taken care of and observed and taught with affection! We chose this nursery because we found Montessori education system is quite interesting and we wanted my son to be in the environment. Now we are quite contented not because it's a
Montessori nursery but because the teachers deliver the Montessori method brilliantly and make a great community of the children.

My son has spent very happy two years at Casa Dei Bambini Montessori. We are very sad to be leaving to the reception class in September.

The staff at the school are fantastic - they go beyond just looking after the children and work really hard on developing their unique skills and personalities

and the results are often very visible. The environment in the classroom is calm and peaceful and the children are all very happy.

Having had my child in a Montessori school for two years, I have become a huge fan of this method and I would really recommend a Montessori school, and in particular Casa Dei Bambini school to all parents looking for a great environment for their kids.

Montessori is that environment, other than the family environment, that can make your child feel so safe and loved, a quiet environment which gives him peace, concentration and self-motivation.

We will be grateful forever for all the care, education and love that our daughter has fulfilled from

"Casa dei Bambini Montessori". Strength, self-confidence, love for friends and environment, self-discipline, freedom and much more she has gained in the most supportive and caring way. She stepped into the world of education so smoothly, challenging her to explore and learn a lifetime.

On her last days at school she was saying almost everyday: "the Manager is the best teacher in the world."

We fell in love with this nursery after our visiting and seeing the warm, intimate classroom. They help make the initial transition into the class very smooth and the Montessori experience that it offers is truly wonderful. The dedication of the four teachers can be felt and our family will certainly
miss the community.

My son has attended this school for almost a year.
He has gradually gotten the Montessori methods, and he really likes his school, teachers and friends very much.
As a parent I am very happy to choose this school, especially because of the enthusiastic
teachers and genuine Montessori method they
are taking.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.825)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.825) out of 10 for Casa Dei Bambini Montessori School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.925 for Casa Dei Bambini Montessori School is calculated as follows: ( (98 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 4.925
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Casa Dei Bambini Montessori School is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 number of registered child places is 4.8, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
