I cannot say enough to reflect how amazing this nursery is. My now 6-year-old attended from 8 months old until he started school, he flourished during his time here and had so many amazing experiences that we still talk about now. By the time we had our second son in 2018, we had moved house and so
tried a more local nursery, however, it could not compare with our experiences of The Willows, and within a few months, we moved him to The Willows. Many of the staff that cared for our older son are now working with our youngest. He too loves it here and comes home full of stories about his day. The team are all truly fantastic, and all genuinely care about the children, and treat each one as an individual, taking the time to get to know their characters and likes/dislikes. They are very good at offering comfort when needed, and are also interactive with parents, and always happy to chat about how your child is progressing. I recommend this nursery to every parent that I speak to!

Absolutely amazing staff. My child comes home happy, healthy, clean and dry. They really get to know you're child and their likes and dislikes. My little boy gets excited every morning when it’s time to go, best nursery he has ever attended.

Evolution The Willows is a lovely place for a child to start their educational journey. Both my children love evolution and all the staff there. They put in a lot of effort to make the child's day interesting. I would highly recommend this as their standard is very good.

My son has been at the nursery for about 4 months and I honestly could not have him anywhere else. I was so worried at first about leaving him with people I didn't know. However, the staff at the willows are amazing. You never think someone else can look after your child the way you do but they really
do. My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting and is now fully potty trained with the help of the staff. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

My child has been at the nursery for 3.5 years and we have never had any issues. All of the staff are really personable, easy to contact via phone, email or app, they are really approachable. They keep me up to date with everything that my child is doing. I can view all of my child’s learning on the
app and it’s supported by pictures. Facilities are amazing, outdoor garden is well kept and has loads of activities. Amazing nursery and amazing staff.

This was the 3rd nursery in the area that I tried to settle my 14-month clingy baby into, what an absolute godsend. Head and shoulders above the other 2 nurseries I tried. The setting is perfect and the staff are amazing. My baby was clingy and shy and she is now a complete extrovert! all down to this
amazing nursery. The staff are excellent can't fault a thing.

Our little girl started Evolution Childcare @ The Willows in September at 7 months old, I was so worried with her being so young but she has loved it from day one. She doesn't even look back when I leave when dropping her off! The staff and management are all so lovely and welcoming and I love hearing
all about my baby's day when picking her up. I would definitely recommend to anybody considering nursery for their little one and can't wait to watch our little girls journey at The Willows.

My child started when he was two years old and came until he left to go to school. The staff were amazing and the activities and room environments were super. He learnt so much and I was confident with his transition to school because of how much he achieved in this nursery.
I would recommend this
nursery to anyone who is looking for a high standard nursery with loving and caring practitioners.

We love The Willows Nursery. My little boy always comes home smiling and telling me stories about his day. So much thought goes into the planning of the events and activities of the day to day running of the nursery.

My little boy had a difficult time settling into another nursery and I was not happy with the provision, so I made the decision to move him to The Willows. As he only goes in once a week, I did worry that he would struggle. How wrong I was. He gets excited when we talk about 'school' and loves to play
his guitar and paint there. He started 5 weeks ago (bear in mind, this is only 5 days) and the staff already know him so well (along with his little foibles!) I feel comfortable with him being there, and I am so pleased I moved him. I cannot praise The Willows and the staff enough.

I cannot fault The Willows, the staff and the rooms are impeccable. It is slightly more expensive than other nurseries but you get what you pay for. My son has been here for just under 2 years and he has thrived since starting full time. They go above and beyond with activities not only to keep the
children entertained but to teach them new things that they would rarely learn elsewhere such a sign language. The garden area is the best I have seen from the other nurseries we visited. I would definitely recommend as they provide the best care possible.

The first time my son went to the nursery, he played around and didn’t feel shy or uncomfortable at all. I think that was a good sign. And now he loves the willows and happy to go every week. I like their monthly activity sheet which is always full of well-planned activities throughout the month and
keep changing, also the parents waiting area. I always sit in the sofa to read one or two books before taking my son home. The nursery is big and full of lovely teachers and children.

This nursery is quite simply outstanding. My son attended the nursery for 4 years and my daughter is currently in the reception class. They both adore the staff who have a contagious energy and enthusiasm.

It has been wonderful watching my daughter grow in confidence; she now skips into the nursery

and can't wait to see her teachers and friends. My son misses the staff now that he is at school and always asks to go back to visit!

The effort that goes into making the learning environment a welcoming and enriching place is second to none. The displays, resources and outdoor environment are fabulous and my children loved lessons in the dance studio.

As an early years teacher myself, I have the opportunity to visit lots of other settings and The Willows certainly stands out as outstanding.

Thank you to all of the staff for your hard work, it really is appreciated. It enables me to go to work with confidence knowing that my children are truly happy. I can not recommend this nursery enough!

A great place for a child to develop. Great staff who are friendly and very helpful. My son likes to go here and on his off days where he doesn't want to go, the staff really help out to make him feel at ease. I can't say anything bad because there is nothing bad to say.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.953)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.953) out of 10 for The Willows Nursery School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.978 for The Willows Nursery School is calculated as follows: ( (222 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 227 Ratings = 4.978
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Willows Nursery School is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 95 number of registered child places is 19, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2010

I have been part of the Evolution Childcare family for over 15 years, gaining extensive experience across all age groups and rooms. This breadth of hands-on practice has given me a deep understanding of child development, high-quality care, and the day-to-day realities of nursery life.

After several years of dedicated work, I was offered the role of Baby Room Manager and Assistant Deputy Manager — positions I held for around five years. During this time, I strengthened my leadership skills, supported staff development, and worked closely with families to build strong, trusting partnerships. These experiences shaped my approach to nurturing both children and teams, and prepared me for the next step in my journey.

In 2019, I was proud to be promoted to Nursery Manager, a role that has allowed me to bring together my passion for early years, my commitment to high standards, and my belief in creating a warm, supportive environment for children, families, and staff.

Alongside my practical experience, I have completed my Foundation Degree in Early Years and undertaken a wide range of professional training throughout my time at Evolution Childcare. Continuous learning is important to me, and I am committed to ensuring our practice remains reflective, current, and centred around the needs of every child.
