LEYF - South Bermondsey Nursery & Pre-School

This is a lovely nursery with caring, professional staff. The space is great, the kids have lots of room, and a good outdoor space. They do plenty of activities, including lots of messy play, learning about food and textures, etc. Our little boy is very happy here. The group is non-profit and provides places for disadvantaged kids as well as fully paid places. Despite this, the fees are slightly slower than most other local nurseries. All-round, this is a brilliant nursery.

The nursery is quite lovely, very caring and engaged. The staff does change quite a lot but management has made some improvements in the last year. The management has a very tough old school approach to parents but seems ok to the kids. I would say that they are very hard to read. Kids seem happy and healthy and the hours are decent too. Definitely recommend.

South Bermondsey Community Nursery is an amazing nursery. I love staffing facilities and activities. They offer amazing balanced food to the kids and take great care of the children. My only worry is that they have a large staff pool so you see new faces very often. Really happy overall. Will definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic nursery where the children are given wonderful care. They are fully supported and challenged to grow and develop. The staff are all very friendly and engaging with parents and children.

My daughter needed a little surgery on her thumb and al the management and staff took care of her hand so well. Thye put and exchanged gloves when in messy play and I cannot be thankful enough. This is only one this as what they do in there is amazing. My son also attends this nursery and he loves it. The learning progress is great as well as the activities they do.

They usually have 2 closures a year for staff training. Our children attend full time so we are always affected. These closures are inconvenient and we have to look for alternative childcare arrangements which cost us money.

Great environment and stimulation, our child is very happy at nursery and we love the community of staff, children and parents. Facilities are fab and staff are friendly and helpful. Communication between staff members could be better on occasion - sometimes we get different information from different members of staff, and once our child wasn’t given a dose of medication we’d advised she needed. However, there is a lovely vibe overall and we are very happy our child attends this nursery!

My daughter is very happy at the nursery and goes into her room willingly in the morning. She loves the outside space and messy play.

Staff is friendly and helpful. They helped my daughter settle in very well. I particularly like how structured the days are for my daughter. My daughter has advanced cognitively very well since starting at the nursery. I am confident that my daughter is getting an excellent amount of stimulation.

Good nursery. My daughter is happy to go there and does not show resistance which is very reassuring. The education is good for now but I think they need to improve on potty training. Altogether I am satisfied with the service and the care.

My daughter has attended LEYF now for just over a year and is very settled and happy there. I receive a daily update as to what she did during the day, what she ate and how much and her general mood and behaviour.

My child really enjoys her time here. On collection, the staff can tell me exactly how her day went in regards to eating, napping, behaviour etc. The staff member on reception always welcomes children and parents with a smile and does her best to get to know the children and parents. We are now into our 2nd year here and will stay until it's time to move on to reception.

Really great team at the Nursery, my son enjoys it and always looks forward to his days there. Wonderful Deputy Manager, she makes all parents feel at home.

This nursery is amazing, as a mother I feel comfortable in knowing and seeing my child is well looked after and taught at the same time. The team are awesome and extremely helpful. Seeing my child happy coming there every day gives me huge satisfaction.

My son enjoys attending the nursery each day. His skills are developing well. When my son started he did not like to sit and listen at story time. With encouragement from staff he will now sit down and listen. My son is very happy in the nursery environment.

Good nursery. The only downside is the high level of staff turnover and sometimes is luck of finding someone in the office.

The Team at South Bermondsey Community Nursery have been fantastic, they are always friendly and inviting and always willing to help. Above all, my daughter loves going to nursery and loves the carers there. I notice her progress jumps every time she goes, fantastic place.

I would recommend this nursery, as they've made my boy so happy. After settling in he always has a smile on his face whenever I pick him up. Photos of him were shown to me happily playing. Members of staff are amazing. Management always makes you feel welcome, and my relationship with the key worker and child/parent is fantastic especially in the over threes room.
