Kids Planet Chesterfield

I couldn't recommend this nursery more! All the staff are so welcoming to both the children and the parents. They go above and beyond to help in any way they can. I've never had any worries about my child while he's been at nursery and the staff are always there to listen to any worries that I have about my son outside of nursery. The new manager has stepped up in her new role amazingly!

We always get a great verbal update too on pick-up. The nursery has such a lovely, welcoming feel.

Absolutely cannot fault this nursery! I feel like my child is in the best place with the best people looking after him and my daughter will also be attending from next month. The team are the best, so welcoming and friendly and responsive to communication. They are like family to us!

The management is also something to mention, they are the most helpful and supportive of us as well as parents and so easy to speak to and always at the end of the phone/email if needed. I will always 100% recommend the nursery to any of my friends or family looking for one.

My son was slightly behind the curve with his speech development however since joining Kids Planet his speech has developed to expected levels. Through the app and through the development feedback I have noticed a very detailed and attentive focus on any weak areas, as well as developing areas where he is very confident. All members of the team are very polite, engaging and exceptionally helpful regards all matters. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I even appreciate how dirty and messy his clothes are that get packed up and sent home with him, despite the additional labour, It shows that the children have great fun!

My daughter now attends and has been through baby, tots and toddler rooms. She has an autism diagnosis so naturally it is hard for me to trust people with her but the staff have done their upmost to accommodate her individual needs and pay extra care and attention. I can tell that two members of staff in particular have taken their time to get to know my daughter as they know her needs very well. There have been the odd times where I’ve pulled staff on something very minimal and it was dealt with accordingly with no further issue. They are open to learning and taking on board your opinions or preferences - which you don’t always get from the staff at other nurseries!

My child has attended Kids Planet Chesterfield since being 9 months and is now leaving for school this year. They have cared for him so well, he gets a little upset when dropping him off but they always let me know he's settled and is playing. When I collect him he always looks like he's having fun so I can tell that he enjoys being there, he loves talking about what he's been up to and about his friends. He loves the staff and the food and they take the kids out on trips which he loves. They send regular updates in the app with pictures of what he's been up to. His speech has come on so well since starting nursery and he's super excited to go to school. It's really nice seeing all the pictures he has drawn and even practicing writing his own name.

On collection, my son has always been happy and content. Staff have always given me great feedback from both rooms and have shown great knowledge of my son's development and interests. This is reassuring knowing I'm leaving him in great hands.

Very pleased with the experience.

We've been very happy here and we'll be sad to leave when the time comes.

Staff turnover is obviously fairly high and management at Kids Planet should consider how to improve staff retention.

Excellent. Staff are always friendly and welcoming to both children and adults. They are always happy to help and are extremely accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble.

The staff are amazing. My little boy loves going to nursery and I can see a huge change in his confidence and learning new skills.

They have looked after my grandson with care as he has difficulty with many things. They don't listen when we've asked to stop his naps but do help with giving medicines during the time he's there.

My daughter has attended Little Lions for over a year now. The staff in the baby room were brilliant, always welcoming and caring and she loved going in. She has now moved to the Toddler room upstairs, the staff all made sure the move was smooth and as stress-free as possible which, it was. She loves going in and gets excited about going to nursery. All the girls are friendly and welcoming. They have lots of different play areas, role play, messy play and construction just to name a few. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since going to Little lions and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

My son has been attending nursery since he was 7 months old. He is now 2 and a half years and loves it. The staff are so caring and plan lots of activities. He has learnt lots of new skills and his speech is progressing well. He has a fantastic bond with his key worker. All the team are helpful and can't do enough to support everyone. If we have any more children Little Lions is where they will go.

Little Lions is an excellent setting which provides care, love and education for all children attending. We have been delighted since our daughter joined at 9 months old (she is now almost 2!) The team are exceptionally kind and supportive to both children and parents. Our daughter loves Little Lions and so do we.

My little girl who is 2 has been with her little lions family since January, and she loves being there. She has come on so so much in the last few months. Singing nursery rhymes to us, telling us about all the fun things she does indoors and outdoors, and all the girls who work there are brilliant and very friendly.
