A HOME FROM HOME NURSERY IN MUSWELL HILL

The Chantry Hall nursery in Muswell Hill has been carefully designed with each age group in mind, to inspire and enhance your child’s learning and development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

Chantry Hall Day Nursery and Preschool is split across different floors, with dedicated rooms where children can enjoy age-appropriate facilities and resources and have plenty of space to play, explore and learn. Your child will also have access to the fantastic adventure garden, which is divided into three different areas.

The main garden is where the children engage and focus on their physical development, providing bikes, a climbing frame, beanbags, balls, hoops and more. There are areas to enjoy circle times, singing songs and reading books, and the messy play area is at the bottom of the garden. In this area your child can explore and get messy with the mud kitchen, practise some gardening or enjoy playing with the big blocks.

Together with the children, staff enjoy exploring technology, talking about ICT apparatus, supporting knowledge and understanding whilst ensuring they learn how to use technology safely.

In addition, the team practice a Growing Enhancement programme unique to Bright Horizons, which builds children's confidence in subjects like Maths, English and Writing all in preparation for school.

My daughter had started Chantry Hall in February 2021, I had never imagined she would be so happy at a nursery. I highly recommend Chantry Hall Nursery as there is such a high level of professionalism and care. This nursery has given our daughter a home from home feeling. She had started at the age
of 6months and we can see so much development in her already. All staff in the rooms are very caring and enthusiastic. A very nurturing feeling is given from the staff. Our daughter's key worker has really put her 100% every day to help build her development. Another member of staff has also been very caring and always has a lovely welcoming face with a smile. The manager and Deputy Manager have always been very welcoming, professional approachable and attentive. If we have had anything to highlight, they have always prioritized it. Very good communication from management and staff.

Our younger daughter started here in September 2020 and having been in lockdown for most of her early consciousness, we were apprehensive about how she would settle in. But the staff at the baby room, especially her key worker, were great at making her feel loved and happy from the first day and she
has enjoyed going to nursery, without a fuss ever since. As she moves out of baby room to the toddler room, we wanted to say a big thank you to the nursery and her key worker for all their help.

My son has been at the nursery for over a year, and the staff have been very attentive, nurturing and supportive. With their help, he has stopped using a dummy, developed key skills and gained confidence. The difference during lockdown was extremely noticeable. I will be sending my second child next
year.

Our 22 month old daughter has been going to Chantry Hall for almost a year now and we've been extremely happy with all aspects of the nursery. The staff are very caring, the activities are great and our daughter is always excited to go. Fully recommended without hesitation.

Very happy with the care given to our child since we joined. The honest and caring way they have treated the kids there is evident, and we couldn't be happier knowing they are in a safe and prospering environment.

The nursery is great, very spacious, clean, but the best part is the staff. The teachers, the manager, are excellent and always very professional and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this nursery more! My son has been in the preschool group for 1.5 years already and is very happy with the place.

My youngest boy attends this nursery and my older two have also graduated from Chantry Hall. All three have received the benefit of being in an environment with the conditions to learn and develop. My youngest is very happy there and has formed little friendships within his peer group and has developed
positive relationships with the staff.
The environment is safe and promotes positive activities to participate in. His feelings and views are taken seriously and he is developing in a nice atmosphere with friendly staff and fun surroundings.
My youngest is very fond of one particular carer amongst others and I feel confident that he is happy on the days he attends the nursery.

Regards,

Neil

The level of care that my child has received at Chantry Hall is excellent. The staff are engaging and incredibly caring and my child has developed very strong bonds with them. The baby and nursery rooms are lovely, very well equipped and maintained with lots of space. The food is also of very good quality.

We love this nursery - in particular, all the wonderful staff who are so kind and caring with our son and really treat him as an individual and focus on his continued development. The outside space is a bit limited but apart from that, the facilities are excellent. The daily feedback could be improved-
there was an app which was quite good but was stopped, and although we are meant to receive daily paper forms, we often don't, and even when we do they don't say much. Given current technologies available, it should be possible (and easier for staff) for daily feedback to be given in electronic form, and this should also include access to daily menus so that we know exactly what the children have been offered at snack and mealtimes (currently we just receive a termly menu, so I'm never sure what was actually served on a particular day) as well as how much they ate. Another advantage would be that both parents could be kept updated, not just the parent who collects the child.

Lovely nursery. Beautiful facilities, very open and airy inside. Limited outdoor space but a bit of astroturf area that my son loves to watch buses from, and a park nearby. Well-run, warm staff. All staff seem to know all the children. Toddler Room leader is fantastic. Good range of activities. Clean.

It is rare that you value and appreciate a service more and more with time - fatigue and frustration usually set in. I trust and value the team who care with kindness and spirit for my most precious; my son. He loves his time there. He is happy and nurtured and stimulated and taught. I'm having the
pleasure of watching their positive impact on my son. I leave him at the nursery with absolute peace of mind and this to me is priceless. Thank you.

Our child is really happy here. He looks forward to nursery every day and keeps talking about it at home in the evenings. He is as fond of his friends as he is of members of staff. He loves recounting activities, songs and games at home. Staff are invariably friendly, helpful and attentive to our child's
needs and facilities are overall to our satisfaction although the garden could be bigger. In other countries, of course, this would be a public service not, a luxury.

My daughter has been at Chantry Hall since she was 14months old. She has always been quite an emotional child but the care and support she has received at nursery has helped her to develop into an independent and confident toddler. She has grown to really enjoy nursery and loves all the activities and
has made many new friends. Overall we could not be happier.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. She constantly shows new developments, saying how her teachers taught her, counting and recognising numbers, how to wash hands properly and writing letters etc...
She loves her key worker and other teachers and I always feel she is getting the care and
affection that she needs.

Out little boy has blossomed at Chantry Hall. The Montessori ethos transpires in everything the staff and management do. Putting each child's individuality at the core of what they do.
My son is now confident to explore a whole range of learning experiences, articulate his preferences and interact
harmoniously with others.
Staff and management have also been awesome in the way they have accommodated his additional needs. We trust them implicitly and work with them as a team.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.290)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.290) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Chantry Hall Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.841 for Bright Horizons Chantry Hall Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (91 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.841
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.449 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Chantry Hall Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 82 number of registered child places is 16.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.4 = 0.549
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
