The nursery always goes above and beyond for my child. I feel confident and safe knowing that my child is in their care and being looked after. I will be sad when he leaves for primary school in September 2023!
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - Eltham'Above and beyond'! We do aim high at Crafty Wizards and promote this with our children, we have a song about this for our Crafty Wizards that we sing: "C-R-A-F-T-Y, Crafty Wizards come let's fly..... Let's aim high, touch the sky, there is nothing we can't try...." We believe in open mindsets and that if we can't do something now, it doesn't mean that we can't, we just haven't achieved it 'yet'. That's the power of yet! Thank you for taking the time to review us.

Our 2-year-old son started at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School in December 2021. We were worried about the impact that Covid had on him, including being in a social setting and delay with speech. Since Crafty Wizards, we have seen a massive progress! Our son used to scream in social settings, now he
is so confident and loves being out! The team are also very friendly and approachable and are also very reassuring when I have gone to them with concerns with our little one's development. They give great advice and keep us informed with how our son's day has gone. At first, our son would be upset to go to school, now I'm struggling to pick him up at home time as he just wants to stay in school. Thank you to all of the talented team at Crafty Wizards.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamWe do work hard to support all our unique Crafty Wizards. We have been shortlisted by the National Day Nurseries Association for how we support children in play, with a focus on those that need additional support with their learning. We use strategies from I-Can, Small Talk, all our staff have received Makaton training this year and we have a number of strategies to promote early communication. We value parent partnerships so it is very fulfilling when we read a review like this, it will be shared with the team. Thank you.

My daughter has been going to Crafty Wizards World Pre-School since November last year and she has progressed so much. The staff there are so helpful and offer so much support to us parents. They helped with potty training my daughter and getting her off the dummy. She has gained so much confidence
and I’m so proud of how much she has achieved whilst going there. I would 100% recommend this pre-school and will definitely be sending my other children here when they are old enough.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamFive stars in all areas! We have been shortlisted for the Play & Learning – Supporting Children with SEND by the National Day Nurseries Association and they interviewed us yesterday asking, "What do you want your children to be able to do when they leave pre-school". The answer for us is to have children that want to learn and enjoy it, have grown in confidence, independence and resilience, have the tools to make healthy attachments and connections with peers and adults. It is magic to hear that you have seen your daughter's confidence and independence grow in such a short time and a parent's recommendation to other parents is always heart-warming to hear from our hard-working team. Thank you for taking the time to review us.

Really great experience. My darling son attends the Crafty Wizards World Pre-School, Eltham and always comes home with lots of stories (wizard, dentist, firefighter, gardener, chef etc). He talks a lot about the staff and always has stories to tell us at home. Staff update with child's development and
very easy to approach. I definitely recommend other parents for their child to join Crafty Wizards. He has grown in many ways and I am sure he will learn more before he joins reception. Thanking all staff.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamYour five stars and magical words mean a lot, thank you. It is heartwarming to hear how your son is enjoying Crafty Wizards Pre-School. We hope that you enjoyed our superhero event and hope to see you and your son at our Crafty Cakes event for our Crafty Wizards and parents. Also, look out for a guest popping into pre-school shortly too! We will be supporting transitions to primary school this coming term in role-play, stories, written reports and more. Graduation will be here before you know it but we also encourage families to keep in touch, some of our Crafty Wizards are now teenagers!

My son has attended Crafty Wizards World Pre-School for the past eighteen months (my daughter attended for two years before) and he has had a wonderful experience. The teachers are wonderful and genuinely care for the children. My son has grown in so many ways since joining Crafty Wizards and I would
recommend the pre-school to everyone.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamWand-er-ful! Thank you so much for your five stars in all areas review. We do aim to give the personal touch, not being a large chain we pride ourselves in our mangers and team knowing the interests and needs of our Crafty Wizards. We have a number of events coming up to celebrate our ten years and provide opportunities for our parents to come into our pre-schools again. Our next event is our superhero day. Look out for information. Soon there will also be... a Crafty cakes day, disco day, magical movers week and graduation! Oh and we do forest school once a week and play phonics now too! Have a magical day!

My 2-year-old has been coming to Crafty Wizards World Pre-School twice a week since the start of 2022. Though there are still some tears at drop off he always comes out bursting with stories of what he's been up to. Since starting he's made enormous strides in speaking, confidence and interacting with
other children, all of which were a real struggle for him before. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and are very good at keeping us updated with photos and little reports via the app.
Overall, a great little pre-school.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamThank you for your review. The transition to pre-school/nursery/school is unique for all children. We try a range of strategies to help our new starters with forming attachments at pre-school. It is fantastic to hear how your son enthusiastically talks about his pre-school adventures. We look forward to our free activity events days and hope that he is enjoying our National Day Nurseries 'Healthy body, happy me' theme this week.

We are very happy with Crafty Wizards World Pre-School. Initially, we were attracted to the term time only hours and short sessions of three hours for our 2-year-old. We love the friendliness of the staff and general helpfulness. Our little one loves going there and has lots of fun. Would definitely
recommend.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamThank you for the five-stars all around. There is no magic without you and your Crafty Wizard! Crafty Wizards World Pre-School team create a wonderfully magic environment for our little learners. During a rather uncertain time, this nursery has gone above and beyond to reassure parents this setting continues to be a safe place for their child. Providing us with ample information to prepare our
little ones for returning after lockdown's. It still amazes me how resilient the children are and how quickly they settle into their “new normal.” Massive credit to the staff no matter what obstacles were thrown at them, they still opened the door with the most magical and inviting smile! Crafty Wizards World Pre-School update the parents on daily activities via social media and you even get to see some action shots of your little ones engaging in their favourite activities. Updates on your child’s progress is posted to you on an app that the staff are more than happy to explain how to use. You can also share progress and home activities with Crafty Wizards World Pre-School on this app! Staff are always on hand to answer any questions. Crafty Wizards World Pre-School have mastered the magic of learning.

I have sent all three of my children to Crafty Wizards World Pre-School and I am always extremely proud of the development that my children have made in their early education. They have all enjoyed their time there and I would highly recommend Crafty Wizards World Pre-School to anyone looking for somewhere

My daughter gets so excited every time I say it’s time for nursery. She has gained so much confidence since starting Crafty Wizards World Pre-School; her speech and learning is improving every week and she loves all of her teachers. I think it’s great we receive updates of their progress, especially
during Covid, when we have been unable to have the normal one-to-one meetings with the teachers. I am so happy I choose Crafty Wizards and can’t wait to watch my daughter grow and progress there with all the wonderful teachers.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamWe take parent partnerships seriously, you are your child's life long teacher. Out Magic Circle Time activities daily and phonics sessions help to develop our children's early communication skills. We use simple Makaton signs and symbols at pre-school to support language development. We aim to make learning magical, look out for our Easter treasure hunt in our local park in the holidays - there's a free egg at the end of it!

The staff at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School are second to none and have made my daughter feel very welcome since she started in September. My daughter used to cry on entering the nursery and the staff always took the time to comfort her and make her feel happy. She now loves nursery and asks to go
on the days she is at home. A lot of effort is put into the activities they do with the children and there is non stop fun and laughter. I highly recommend Crafty Wizards!
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - Eltham5 stars in all areas! Separating from your child can be an anxious time, it is lovely to hear that your daughter is settled. At Crafty Wizards we have our getting to know your children questionnaire before starting, our settling in booklet so that your child can get familiar with some of the places, faces and spaces at pre-school. Our activities that are planned around our children's interests and needs are usually the best tool to help settle our children. We work together with families to support our unique children. Look out for our Easter treasure hunt at our local park during the holidays, we are giving away 250 eggs!

I can't recommend Crafty Wizards enough. Our daughter adores attending and her skills and learning has increased significantly, but still in a fun and play-related way to learn. The teachers at Crafty Wizards focus on lots of outdoor time, messy play, they give certificates for sharing and kindness,
and they never fail to smile or bring happiness to my daughter's days. Every day at Crafty Wizards is different, with toys well curated and brought out in advance for specific types of play or learning. There are no 'standard' days there; my daughter is always excited to find out what they will be doing each day when she goes. The preschools are relatively small so children are not one of many and get good levels of attention and care from the teachers.

My daughter started at Crafty Wizards in January. I was nervous as she is an only child and 2020 had, like for many, led to more time spent with mummy and daddy, at home. From the moment she first walked in, I knew I shouldn’t have worried, she absolutely loves it (I’m not exaggerating, my daughter
informs me daily of how much she loves it). The staff are wonderful and the setting is absolutely perfect. My daughter has grown so much in the 4 weeks she has been attending. We honestly couldn’t be happier. Thank you Crafty Wizards team.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamWe are very happy that you are happy. Our magical ingredients to make learning magical through creativity are: 1. You, the lifelong teacher of your child. 2. Our dedicated Wise Wizards (staff). 3. Our Crafty Wizards (children)! It is lovely to read that, although you were anxious, your daughter settled well, and you grew in confidence with our partnership. We post pictures on our closed Facebook page to update you on activities, have our online Parent Zone App for observations and assessments, along with Zoom meeting opportunities. We hope that our social story helped with settling in also. We look forward to the terms ahead. My son has attended Crafty Wizards World Pre-School since he was 2 and a half. Crafty Wizards have been nothing but supportive of making him feel calm, settled and building up his confidence.
2020 has been a really tough year for everyone but Crafty Wizards have been amazing with not only making me,
as a parent, feel safe during this incredibly worrying time but giving my son that normality, structure and fun that every child deserves.
I am always proud to say that my son attends Crafty Wizards.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamIt is magical to hear that you feel that we have offered a safer place for your son to grow in confidence in a calm and supportive environment. We are a Early Years Quality Mark awarded pre-school and consistently strive to offer learning opportunities that are fun, engaging, challenging, supportive and creative. Did you know we achieved are one of only a couple of PVI pre-schools to have gained the Mayor of London's Bronze award for Healthy Eating? We now provide a range of locally sourced fruit and veg, dry snacks and fruits, milk etc all supported with visual symbols to support speech and language. We also have a mud kitchen (re-opening shortly due to Covid-19), a sheltered outside area and shortly we hope to open a new outdoor cabin! Watch this space!

My daughter has been attending Crafty Wizards World Pre-School since September 2020, she absolutely loves attending and we are so happy knowing that she is having a wonderful time, especially during this strangest of years. The staff at Crafty Wizards are wonderful, they truly care about our children's
needs, learning and happiness. They strive to make learning fun and enjoyable for the children each and every day. Due to Covid our face-to-face interaction with the staff is obviously limited but they have gone above and beyond by posting images on our private social media group showing activity set ups for the children's day ahead and posting pictures throughout the day so we can see what they are up to. They provide items and activities for at-home learning as well which really shows how dedicated they are to ensuring our children thrive and find the magic in learning, I would highly recommend them to anyone considering sending their children there.
Reply from Matthew Byrne, Director at Crafty Wizards World Pre-School - ElthamSpell-endid! Thank you for your 5 stars in all areas! We have been thinking creatively to ensure there are opportunities still to communicate with parents, we now have the option for parent online video meetings along with Covid-19 safer opportunities for face to face meetings if needed for the support of your Crafty Wizard. Our learning rucksacks continue to roll out and we are hoping to do some live storytelling sessions! Some of our practitioners have enjoyed recording videos, circle times, phonics during lockdowns. We aim to make learning fun and creative so it's magical to hear that you have experienced this. Thank you.

I have watched my grandson in the short time that he has attended Crafty Wizards World Pre-School develop across a wide range of abilities, aptitudes and social skills. In particular the latter. At home, he has not been short of intellectual stimulation but without a sibling, an issue particularly
relevant when currently mixing with other children is so problematic, Crafty Wizards World Pre-School has been able to provide a rich and stimulating social environment.

We are adding additional facilities outside, fingers crossed for our outdoor cabin being installed shortly. Crafty Wizards World Pre-School is a fantastic setting. Fun learning delivered by an enthusiastic, engaged team. My son has been attending this nursery for 8 months and we have watched him develop and build relationships with his peers and the nursery staff. He loves Crafty Wizards and so do we. Their

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 25 number of registered child places is 5, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
