Little Elms is a dream! I could not have chosen a better pre-school for my son. The staff are warm and friendly and show genuine care and passion for the welfare and development of each of the children. I particularly like the emphasis on teaching the children to be independent, preparing them for reception, while being attentive to their individual needs and creating a safe space for the expression of their feelings. My son tells me every day how much fun he’s had from playtime on the pirate ship to forest school to yoga. I cannot recommend this school enough!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We take great pride in our care for the boys, and are so pleased this resonates with you.
Lots of initiatives, forest school, and lots of communication from school which is really appreciated. There is a video channel, and they try to make the most of lockdown with online meetings and get-togethers. Highly recommended.
I am so pleased that you feel this way! We really do care about each and every boy and are so proud of the achievements they make. We adore sharing these with you and think communication is a huge part in the care we provide. Thank you so much for your kind review.
The nursery provides a very nurturing and secure atmosphere which is vital for the growth of young minds. They feel welcomed and are at comfort in the environment. The office staff is very helpful and very welcoming. One member of staff, in particular, is a lovely nursery teacher who is very approachable and always there to discuss any issues and support the kids. And another member of staff has amazing patience and creativity that keeps them engaged and learn things while having fun. My son is so proud to be an Elmhurst boy and loves to go to school. Thank you Little Elms!
I love this, thank you so much. We strive to ensure all the boys are happy, settled and engaged in their learning. I'm so pleased you see this through Little Elms. Having the boys love their learning and school, sets them up well for Reception and future learning. An added bonus in Little Elms is...
A great nursery, with a family feel, which has given two of my sons an amazing start. I'm very fortunate to have had the nursery teacher look after my youngest last year, and not only is she all-round lovely person, but my son has progressed in reading and maths beyond our expectations. On top of that the leadership team under the head of the lower school is always there if there are any questions or issues. Thank you Elmhurst!
How lovely, thank you so much! As a carer, I can't tell you how much I love seeing the boys grow and learn. I have the added bonus of meeting amazing parents who not only support their boys but us as teachers too. I'm lucky enough to get extra time with them through the After School programme as well!
Forest school has been fun for the kids. The communication between parents and teachers has been excellent! Any time I needed to find anything out the teachers have been extremely quick to respond. My son loves his teachers. They have been fab! I would absolutely recommend Little Elms to other parents. Elmhurst is an excellent school!
Thank you for your response! Communication is key I believe. Why should I just get the joy of seeing wonderful learning, funny anecdotes, and amazing pieces of work, when I can share them with you too. I'm so glad that you feel this way too.
Thank you for helping my son grow in confidence, independence and make learning so much fun for him!
I'm so glad you feel this way, thank you for your wonderful and heartfelt review. Learning in a nurturing and stimulating environment is so important for us as a team, and a school. Being able to send the boys home with so much to say means we are doing something right! As a parent myself, I love...
My son absolutely loves Little Elms and it's not just the friends that he's made. He's confident when addressing adults and other boys within the school and I think this is, in part, due to the way the school is set up... It is almost as if the whole school is set up for new boys especially the youngest ones. The activities within Little Elms are engaging, fun and informative. He's happy, smiling and talkative as they staff within Little Elms give him the time, encouragement and respect to enable his learning which is tailored for him. There is a range of activities organised for the boys including music, ICT, French and cooking. The latter might be his favourite! He has come home with a breadstick sparkler, pizza face, cheese sandwich. The Digital Learning Journey documents his learning - there are photographs, videos and text all linked to the EYFS, a great system. All staff are approachable and communication has been great. Little Elms is a super introduction to the education system.
I am the mother of a really bright boy and we were looking for a nursery that would meet his needs while keeping him well rounded and happy! Little Elms Nursery has been great in every way! He loves it there! Both teachers are kind, hands-on and passionate about the kid's development.
My son is extremely happy, well cared for and is coming out of his shell a little more every day under the care of his teachers. Couldnt be happier with my choice of school for my little boy.
This nursery is amazing. From the quality of teachers, the care they give, the availability of wraparound care, and the manners and discipline instilled in the boys, but in a fun and creative atmosphere - it’s just the best money we’ve spent. My son loves going. He’s made lots of lovely friends. He is so excited to go and do new things every day.
I am quite happy and impressed with the quality of teaching and nurturing the boys are given. The warm and friendly attitude of the teachers towards the boys and their parents is remarkable. I would highly recommend Little Elms to any parent looking for an excellent nursery for their child or children.
He loves Elmhurst. They listen to his needs and fulfil them. Respect goes both ways, manners are a must and I love that.
He'll continue at Elmhurst as learning is fun. The teachers love to teach and the kids learn by having a place where being a child and all that crazy imagination is encouraged.
Since my son joined the Little Elms Nursery there has been a great improvement in his activities. He has progressed beyond his year as described by his teachers and that has only come about as a result of the school he is attending. Improved speech, always wants to make his voice heard, tells me when he is not happy with activities. All things he never did before. The staff are very friendly and welcoming all the time. They take the time to know each boy individually as they are all conscious learning is not the same in every child.
I would recommend Elmhurst to any parent.
Parents can know the activities planned for the week on a notice board, which helps to work on the same at home.
Each week is well planned to provide a continued learning in phonics and numbers. Interactive storytelling each day helps the kids to develop the habit of book reading.
Kid's activities are logged every day as pictures/videos on an online digital learning book, parents .which is very helpful for busy parents.
I am very pleased and happy that I have chosen this place.Planning to send my younger one as well once he is ready.
Fantastic teachers good support providing love and care for my child. Very welcoming providing excellent activities and teaching for my child to learn and grow. We have seen a great improvement in our child.
