Kindred Nursery in Bournemouth is a warm and inviting environment where staff are passionate about the mission to create inspiring worlds full of wonder for little ones to grow and thrive in.

By creating days filled with unique moments and opportunities, the nursery are able to truly enrich a child’s development during the 0-5 years.

Kindred Bournemouth (formerly known as Little Hens) is located in a lovely converted church setting with a large outdoor area. The nursery offers exceptional childcare and early years education to children aged from 3 months up to 5 years.

Open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and offer funded places for three year olds and qualifying two year olds. Speak to the team to find out more.

My daughter has been going to Kindred for two years. She always looks forward to going in and enjoys the varied activities she gets to do during the day. I feel like she has made excellent progress especially in her ability to interact with people. They have a varied and interesting menu which she also
enjoys. They have handled the pandemic brilliantly and always have the children's best interests at heart. Communication is great and they have an app where they manage everything from nap times to observations complete with pictures. I get updates on this throughout the day which is lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to other parents.

My son (three) and daughter (four) have been attending Kindred for eight months and they absolutely love it. The way that they returned to nursery so willingly after ten weeks off during lockdown, is a testament to the excellent staff members there and the range of activities they do with the kids every
day. The open days are a great way for parents to explore the outside area and the science lab, a welcome addition to the nursery. I couldn't speak more highly of the staff here. My daughter is quite shy and yet she has been making friends and has grown in confidence massively since attending. And last but not least, they eat wholesome, healthy, home-cooked meals every day provided by the chef. Being a massive foodie myself, this is a big win for me. (Also keeps my food bill down during the week - double win!)

Kindred is a very good nursery. The way they have dealt with the pandemic has been great. They are doing their best to avoid any infection and get children returning to nursery. My son has been going for about two and a half years and really enjoys it and I intend to send his little sister soon.

I was a very anxious first time parent leaving my daughter at nursery for the first time.
The whole Kindred Bournemouth team were fantastic in updating me on how she was and provided a very thorough tour and induction programme.
Since returning to nursery after lockdown I was again very anxious,
but it was like my daughter had never been away, she's in a bubble with her key worker and getting updates throughout the day via the app put me at ease.
The management and all the staff do an amazing job keeping everything as normal as possible for the children whilst still ensuring they remain safe.
We viewed a number of nurseries before making our decision which was based on how our daughter reacted during the tour. Kindred Bournemouth was the only place she didn't cry and felt comfortable interacting with the staff during the first visit.

Kindred Nursery has been brilliant, my daughter has been with them for 6 months and has come on loads, she has become more confident. They have taught her to eat lovely and the chef at the nursery offers an amazing menu.

Kindred Bournemouth is a great nursery that provides great opportunities and learning facilities that allow children to learn and grow. We can't put into words how our little one has taken to it so well. The staff are amazing and you really get the feeling of it being one big family. The nursery also
provides family event days and our little one really enjoys the days as it's a chance for him to show us his nursery and where everything is that he plays with.

Little Hens nursery is the best nursery I have ever tried. I have 2 daughters, 13 and 3. Even when my eldest was young, there wasn't a nursery as good as this one.


I couldn't fault them even if I tried to find one.


My youngest attends every day and 100% loves going and loves the staff.

This nursery has been excellent for my daughter.
She has been coming since 7 months old. They did additional settling in sessions and have used to help her settle. Lovely staff, great consistency and nice learning environment.
Would use again and thoroughly recommend.

From first registering my little boy until now, the manager and staff have been so welcoming and helpful. Due to circumstances, we needed to get him registered and settled quickly. He settled in so quickly and when walking into nursery, he is so excited. The meals provided are great, homely and healthy
meals. The security system recently installed is very impressive. My son seems very settled and this makes it easier knowing he is cared for.

We have a really good relationship with the nursery team. My son is very happy there and really enjoys his days spent at Little Hens with the lovely keyworkers and his friends. It is a lovely, clean, safe and friendly environment. Our daughter also went to Little Hens, so in all, we would have been
part of the Little Hens family for 7 years. It will be a sad day when our son leaves next summer to start school.

My daughter attends this nursery she found it hard to settle but the play partners are amazing and have helped her settle in and she now loves going there. They also have a wide range of activities indoors and out so no day is the same, I would highly recommend this nursery and all of its staff.

My youngest daughter currently attends Little Hens. She loves going and playing with her friends that she has made there. She is always happy when she comes out and always goes in without a fuss. I sent my oldest daughter there when she was a baby and it really helped her confidence even at such a young
age, this is why I was so keen to get my other daughter in as I already knew some of the practitioners and feel very comfortable leaving my children in their care.


I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for excellent childcare.

My son loves going to Little Hens, he never has any problems when I leave as he is so excited to be there. My little boy is currently in Little Chicks, he loves the staff there and often says they're his best friends. The staff are friendly and will help with anything you need. They have a wide variety
of nutritional food and often make and decorate biscuits and cakes for treats.

I have found this nursery and preschool to be friendly, welcoming, sensitive and child centred. The staff will go out of their way to make sure your child’s needs are met to a high standard and keep you informed as a parent. This is a fun and nurturing nursery environment which provides excellent care
for your child. The staff will ensure that they have empathy for your child’s particular needs and will be adaptable to support and care for them.

My son started Little Hens Nursery in August last year. he was 2 years and 2 months old. He didn’t talk much and hadn’t really socialised with other children. Now, he’s talking loads and starting to do more activities with other children. He’s come out of his shell so much, it’s unbelievable. I can’t
thank Little Hens enough for helping him along with his development. He talks about the nursery and his teachers at home and always looks forward to going. The Little Chicks team are amazing with him. I can’t recommend them enough!

My daughter started at the Nursery in October last year. Settling in was tough (she didn't want to leave mummy) but with some help and advice from the room leader, she now loves coming every day to see her little friends and her play partner. I particularly like the golden rules and we try to live by
these when at home too - Listening ears, Quiet Voice, Walking feet and respecting toys - I think! They also get breakfast (toast or cereal) a home cooked nutritional lunch and afternoon tea every day which is included in the price!
All the girls in the Little Chicks room do a fantastic job looking after her and helping me raise a confident, polite little girl.

My son is very happy at the nursery and always participates in a wide range of activities. His key worker has built an excellent relationship with him and he is developing mental and social skills all the time. I have recommended this nursery to a friend and a colleague. Both whom have put their children

My son has attended Little Hen's since he was 14 months old - he is now 3 and in pre-school. Throughout this time the quality of care he has received has been excellent. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and approachable and have helped me through some tough potty training times!! I will continue
to recommend this nursery to all of my friends and family and there is no other nursery I would trust to take care of my 8-month-old baby when I return to work later this year.

We are really pleased with our child's progress. At first, she was very unsure and upset but the staff were very good at reassuring us both. She now says she loves school and looks forward to going each time. The activities they do seem varied and interesting. I like the food they offer.
