Kindred Nursery in Bournemouth is a warm and inviting environment where staff are passionate about the mission to create inspiring worlds full of wonder for little ones to grow and thrive in.

By creating days filled with unique moments and opportunities, the nursery are able to truly enrich a child’s development during the 0-5 years.

Kindred Bournemouth (formerly known as Little Hens) is located in a lovely converted church setting with a large outdoor area. The nursery offers exceptional childcare and early years education to children aged from 3 months up to 5 years.

My daughter attends this nursery she found it hard to settle but the play partners are amazing and have helped her settle in and she now loves going there. They also have a wide range of activities indoors and out so no day is the same, I would highly recommend this nursery and all of its staff.

My youngest daughter currently attends Little Hens. She loves going and playing with her friends that she has made there. She is always happy when she comes out and always goes in without a fuss. I sent my oldest daughter there when she was a baby and it really helped her confidence even at such a young
age, this is why I was so keen to get my other daughter in as I already knew some of the practitioners and feel very comfortable leaving my children in their care.


I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for excellent childcare.

My son loves going to Little Hens, he never has any problems when I leave as he is so excited to be there. My little boy is currently in Little Chicks, he loves the staff there and often says they're his best friends. The staff are friendly and will help with anything you need. They have a wide variety
of nutritional food and often make and decorate biscuits and cakes for treats.

I have found this nursery and preschool to be friendly, welcoming, sensitive and child centred. The staff will go out of their way to make sure your child’s needs are met to a high standard and keep you informed as a parent. This is a fun and nurturing nursery environment which provides excellent care
for your child. The staff will ensure that they have empathy for your child’s particular needs and will be adaptable to support and care for them.

My son started Little Hens Nursery in August last year. he was 2 years and 2 months old. He didn’t talk much and hadn’t really socialised with other children. Now, he’s talking loads and starting to do more activities with other children. He’s come out of his shell so much, it’s unbelievable. I can’t
thank Little Hens enough for helping him along with his development. He talks about the nursery and his teachers at home and always looks forward to going. The Little Chicks team are amazing with him. I can’t recommend them enough!

My daughter started at the Nursery in October last year. Settling in was tough (she didn't want to leave mummy) but with some help and advice from the room leader, she now loves coming every day to see her little friends and her play partner. I particularly like the golden rules and we try to live by
these when at home too - Listening ears, Quiet Voice, Walking feet and respecting toys - I think! They also get breakfast (toast or cereal) a home cooked nutritional lunch and afternoon tea every day which is included in the price!
All the girls in the Little Chicks room do a fantastic job looking after her and helping me raise a confident, polite little girl.

My son is very happy at the nursery and always participates in a wide range of activities. His key worker has built an excellent relationship with him and he is developing mental and social skills all the time. I have recommended this nursery to a friend and a colleague. Both whom have put their children
into the setting.

My son has attended Little Hen's since he was 14 months old - he is now 3 and in pre-school. Throughout this time the quality of care he has received has been excellent. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and approachable and have helped me through some tough potty training times!! I will continue
to recommend this nursery to all of my friends and family and there is no other nursery I would trust to take care of my 8-month-old baby when I return to work later this year.

We are really pleased with our child's progress. At first, she was very unsure and upset but the staff were very good at reassuring us both. She now says she loves school and looks forward to going each time. The activities they do seem varied and interesting. I like the food they offer.

A friendly nursery and the staff always try to be helpful and considerate. My little girl has attended from 6 months to now 19 months. I plan for next baby also to attend. Always activities arranged for the children to participate in. Good monitoring of learning and activities designed to be fun whist
promoting development.
Not perhaps the smartest looking and not the most modern toys but recently taken over and this is being improved. What perhaps it lacks in style is more than made up for by the wonderful staff. My daughter is always happy to go there and I leave happy in the knowledge she will be safe and well looked after.
We receive weekly emails on development aims of the week keeping us involved and up to date. Each child has an individual book with photos, art work etc tracking their development.
A happy, stimulating, safe learning environment. You get the impression the staff really care for the children.

It took my son a while to settle, the staff are great with him and settled him to his needs. He now goes into nursery happily. I would recommend Little Hens to anyone, great nursery. His key worker is brill as all the staff are.

We are really pleased with the care our son receives when he attends Little Hens. The staff are all professional and very caring. Our son has had some hearing and speech problems and all the staff has gone to great efforts to help him develop especially his key worker. It is always clean and our son

Fantastic nursery for both my children who attend 2 days a week. The pre-schooler is always more chatty than usual after attending and very keen to go. He has attended for over 2 years. My youngest in the Little Chicks comes back very lively and most weeks comes home having learned a new skill.


There

is lots of outdoor space for them to run around which is partially covered so not weather dependent and the addition of the new forest school is fantastic.


Overall a lovely, friendly nursery which I would defiantly recommend.

As a hugely fussy and arguably over protective Mum, choosing a nursery was a MASSIVE 'issue' to me. I only wanted the best for my little girl! Well, she has been happily attending the nursery now for almost a year and I have only have great things to say - so much so that my little boy will be following
in her footsteps in the not too distant future! The staff are fabulous. Highly recommend.

My Son attended Little Hens before starting school and my daughter currently attends the pre school, she absolutely loves it and has formed a close bond with her key worker along with all other staff in her room. I always get a full report of her day, what she's eaten etc. My favourite aspect of the
nursery is how the outside space is used, the children are outside all year round which is a huge plus. My daughter will be sad to leave in the summer.

Previously collected my Grandson from Little Hens before he started school and now I collect my Granddaughter(s) regularly. The staff, the rooms, the environment are first class. I feel the children are truly cared for in every way and it's always a pleasure to collect and witness children happily engaged
in whatever they are doing inside and outside. I am always given a full rundown of what they've been doing, the food they have eaten etc etc. My Grandchildren speak fondly of the nursery and the staff alike which speaks volumes.

My daughter has been at the nursery for the last year and I am very happy with it. the nursery staff are absolutely excellent and feel like a second (more fun!) family for my daughter. There is a good amount of outdoor space which is currently being worked on to make it more stimulating. Each week I
receive an email memo to tell me about what my daughter is working on and any general nursery news, I went to see a lot of other childcare settings before deciding on this one and I can honestly say that the motivation of staff, their caring/fun/educational attitude and the services offered are unparalleled locally.
