Teddie Tots Day Nursery provides parents and their children with a warm and welcoming nursery setting, providing children with care and support during their early years.

Staff at Teddie Tots Day Nursery carefully plan around each child's individual needs to help them to deliver sensitive learning experiences and to support child-initiated and spontaneous play activities.

During their time at the nursery, meals are freshly prepared on-site daily to ensure children's nutritional needs are met.

Staff are DBS checked and Pediatric first-aid trained, both of which are updated annually. While staff participate in courses regularly to ensure their knowledge and training is up-to-date and that children are provided with the best care and learning facilities.

Teddies is a fantastic nursery, friendly staff, efficient processes, happy kids and loads of activities. My son has really thrived there and is totally ready and excited for the transition to school.

Teddie Tots is a fantastic nursery, my son loves attending. The staff are incredible, so friendly and caring.
The activities that are laid out are different every day, the artwork that comes home is lovely. It’s nice to see what they have been doing in the day and I particularly like the items made
on special days such as Valentine’s Day!
My son also loves the sports class and when they have visitors, such as the emergency services.

I looked at so many nurseries before I picked this one for my little boy. He was only six months when he started so I was very worried about getting the right nursery. I choose Teddies Tots because the staff and the atmosphere were so friendly. I saw lots of happy faces, both kids and staff. I felt
from visiting, my baby would be in very safe hands as there are plenty of staff and they are all very professional.
My little boy always gets excited as we come into the nursery as he now recognises so many faces. When I collect him he looks completely shattered from fun-filled days as they do so many activities, soft play, making cards, etc.

My daughter has been attending Teddies Tots Day Nursery in Sandown Road for over 2.5 years. My first impressions were "wow"! The space, the friendliness, openness of the nursery and staff are outstanding. I was apprehensive coming from another nursery to a new one for my daughter and can confidently
say that the girls work extremely hard to ensure that my child's needs were met with fantastic enthusiasm and genuine love. I can see that care and attention reflected in my daughter every day when I pick her up. She loves her nursery, the staff, friends and also the teaching! The teachers really are a testament to the nursery and truly amazing assets! Thank you!

Our son attended this nursery from 2016 at 10 months old and left at the beginning of September 2019 when he started school. Teddies Tots has provided amazing care for our son and he has developed so well and learnt so much.
He’s a very sociable, well mannered and bright young boy and we have the
nursery to thank for that. The staff are all amazing and friendly, always greeting us with a smile in the mornings and making the children feel at ease. The staff were very informative on what the children had done during the day and they were always doing fun activities to keep the children interacting. We would highly recommend Teddies Tots to anyone thinking of attending for the friendly atmosphere. Thank you all for everything you have done for our little man!

I couldn't have found a more perfect nursery for my son to attend. The nursery has a genuine family feel and they have made us feel so welcome from the very first day. He has been thoroughly encouraged in his learning and the progress he has made over the time she has been there is truly exceptional.
He absolutely loves nursery and has grown so much in confidence over his time there. My son and I are made to feel supported and cared for and I can not thank them enough for the superb start he has had to his education. I only wish they ran a primary school too.

My son has been attending the nursery for the past 2 years and I cannot say enough good things about them! Teddies is simply a wonderful nursery. The care my son receives is second to none, the care workers are friendly, knowledgeable and clearly care about each child. They have also shown such kindness
and support to me personally during some difficult times. My son loves them and has a wonderful relationship with each of his care workers. They provide great daily feedback and have excellent educational standards. The environment is lovely, my son especially enjoys the soft play! A great nursery and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for first-rate care for their little ones.

My granddaughter is now 3 1/2, has attended Teddies Tots nursery since she was a baby. I cannot praise the nursery or staff enough for all the love, care and early learning they have given her. She is advanced in all areas and is independent for her age.
Her development has been amazing, she is already
a very rounded young lady.

My daughter starts big school in September. This is her last week at nursery after two years and it's going to be emotional. As a parent, I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. If you can't have family take care of your child, Teddies Tots is the next best thing. The love, care, attention, teaching
skills, even the well thought out menus are second to none. They even held a little graduation ceremony for all the leavers. Every single carer here have become like a best friend to my daughter, they have created awesome memories for her and genuinely helped her grow into a little girl ready for school.

My daughter has been here for nearly 2yrs and she loves going to this nursery it’s more like family, all the staff are so friendly and they do so much with the children my daughter will never be bored and has learned so much. The food is amazing too all cooked fresh, my daughter quite often has lunch
and tea x2 sometimes x3 portions and so much variety. Seeing my daughter so happy makes my day at work so much easier.

My son has been at Teddies Tots for 2 years now. He has thrived there, the staff are so caring and knowledgeable. He was quite shy at first and didn't want to mix with the other children. He now has lot's of lovely friends, is confident and mixes well.
I am informed every day of the activities he has
done, with daily sheets and updates on his progress. The nursery is run extremely well, it is more of a small family than a nursery atmosphere. It is lovely going to work and feeling happy when your Son looks so forward to going into nursery.

My daughter has attended Teddies Tots Nursery for over a year now and despite us moving out of the Watford area 5 months ago, we continue to bring her to this nursery as I simply would not have her anywhere else! She is extremely happy here and loves to share stories about what her friends and teachers
get up to. The staff are extremely attentive, well-informed, friendly, helpful and genuinely interested and passionate about their profession and the children they are trusted with. It astonished myself and my partner one day when we were at a zebra crossing with our then 2-year-old and she instructed us to "Listen with your ears, look with your eyes, no cars here? Hold hands tightly and go!" - She had been learning road safety that week. Our daughter has thrived socially since attending this nursery and has learned important social and developmental skills. I would definitely recommend Teddies Tots to anyone looking for child care in the Watford area and I wouldn't have my daughter anywhere else.

My Grandchildren started off attending Teddies Tots nursery on a part time basis doing only a few mornings a week. However this was increased last month to full time hours purely because of how well they were doing. The staff are outstanding, kind, attentive and generally lovely people. The nursery
is always kept clean and safe. There are two gates to go through before you can get into the nursery and to open the door from the inside would be impossible for the children to do as the handle is higher up.


I love collecting the children from nursery as just looking around the room you can see how active and creative they are. There are lots of drawings, painting, photos and actively boards. The staff always inform me of how good the children have been, what they have done during the day, what food they have eaten and it is so lovely to hear how excited the children are about attending Teddies Tots.

I have two boys that attend Teddies Tots Nursery on a full time basis and wouldn't have them anywhere else. Both boys run into nursery every single morning and can not wait to start their day with the other children and staff member's. I love how they always bring home pictures that they have drawn
or painted, cards that they have made on special occasions and even snacks that they have baked that day. It's great to see how creative they are and have even noticed how their behaviour and home has become much more relaxed. Both boy's love reading books and telling me what activities they have done that day and what new things they have learnt.
I would recommend Teddies Tots Nursery to everyone, the staff are excellent, very kind and gentle with the children and know exactly what the children are like on a personal level. I am always kept updated on how their day has been. It is so lovely to see that our children enjoy going to this particular nursery.

Teddies Tots Day Nursery is by far the best nursery we have used for our boys. They love going there and look forward to seeing the staff members every day. We have noticed a significant change in their learning since attending Teddies Tots. They come home with a new word/phrase every single day and
love singing the songs that were sang that day. The staff are extremely attentive to each child's individual needs and will always up date you on how your child's day has been. We are so pleased that our children attend Teddies Tots and are very thankful for all the hard work they put in. We have noticed our children becoming so much more independent in everything they do. We love Teddies Tots and will be sad to have our children grow up and have to move onto school.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2020

Hello I am Chloe the nursery manager for Teddies Tots Nursery. I am level 3 qualified in childcare and education and have been working in daycare settings for more than 11 years. Throughout the years I have worked my way up to nursery manager completing many courses to develop my knowledge and to support the families I work with. I have now been a nursery manager for over 6 years so have lots of experience in this role. My passion is for the children and families who come through the setting supporting all families through the early milestones before the children head off to “big school” I also have a passion for mentoring a staff team to provide them with opportunities to grow and develop to bringing out their passions so the children and families receive the best care and education possible. We have a fantastic team and one which I am very proud to be working with.


In my personal life I enjoy walking, running and generally keeping fit and healthy and try to promote this with our children and families too. I also enjoy knitting and watering my many house plants.
