Excellent food menu with many healthy options.
When you walk in, you’ll see that staff quickly tend to any crying child and are always compassionate and patient. Children have plenty of toys and entertainment to keep themselves busy.
Our baby does things in nursery that surprise us (like sitting on the chairs to eat or going to sleep with little help). When it comes to hygiene I’ve been really impressed. I have experience in auditing hygiene standards and can’t possibly fault anything in the nursery. Nappies are changed regularly and our baby has never had a rash. Meals are nutritious and there’s a good variety. This was one of our major deciding points before enrolling our baby.
Our daughter has been there since last September and we have no complaints.
Our child has been going to Busy Bees since she was 2. She is now 4 1/2 years old. She thrives and is happy to go to pre-school every day. We are really pleased with the functioning of the nursery. Staff are extremely friendly and benevolent, always encouraging kindness among children. Activities are appropriate and stimulating. I do wonder why the nursery does not offer activities outside the facilities (public parks, museums). Not sure if it is a specific policy of the nursery or of Oxfordshire. In our country, kids explore the outdoors every week. They acquire important skills exploring the world outside the protected bubble of school and home.
I believe that the nursery could improve their meal plans. It is very good, compared to other institutions, but Busy Bees is "outstanding", so I would expect excellence in each of their sectors. A healthier diet with more whole foods and less processed foods, such as cereals, (vegan) cheese, sausages, pasta, etc. would be extremely beneficial for the children.
My daughter has been a happy child at Busy Bees ever since starting in the Baby Room and recently graduating to the Toddler room. We are kept up to date on her progress, she eats well and has developed good bonds with her key staff workers. We are delighted with her care and that we chose Busy Bees in Littlemore.
My daughter has only been going to this nursery 1 day a week for a few months, however within 4 visits she was asking for her key worker and other staff members, no longer crying when I dropped her off and making friends with others. Her speech has increased significantly and she always tells me what she’s been up to. The food is really good quality and often. I plan to up her to more days in a few months as she is constantly asking me to go back to nursery.
Busy Bees is a wonderful nursery. My son currently attends for 2 full days a week. I cannot fault the care provided at the nursery. All accidents are recorded and explained. I recently received a courtesy phone call as my son had sustained a head injury, this was also followed up with a handwritten form which I was able to take away.
The food provided for the children is always healthy and a wide variety is always on offer.
I feel the staff always keep the children busy, doing things I wouldn’t necessarily do at home with my son.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Going to work and choosing someone else to look after your baby is one of the hardest decisions to make. I am so fortunate to have this nursery on my route to work and have never regretted my choice. My little girl settled quickly and now loves going, she is making so much progress. I put this all down to the wonderful staff who have made her very welcome. The fact that she runs in and doesn't look back is the biggest testament to this nursery!
We are now moving out of the area and have to move nurseries, we are completely gutted.
I have recommended this nursery to three of my friends, they are all happy with it too.
Couldn't recommend it enough.
My daughter started at Busy Bees when in July 2015 very shortly after it first opened, so has experienced all of the rooms here and I can honestly say all the staff are amazing. She has learnt so much and really enjoys her time here.
The nursery setting is outstanding and as a parent always made to feel welcome when coming through the front door. The facilities are brilliant and the outside spaces are perfect and used well. The communication between staff and parents is excellent which is shown in detailed handover and also how the children settle so quickly.
My daughter has been very happy at Busy Bees and often is so happy she doesn't want to leave at the end of her session. All the staff make a great effort to get to know all the children and to provide a wide variety of engaging activities. The freshly prepared food is delicious and really healthy so I feel relaxed knowing my daughter is being well cared for.
The food is varied and fresh, my son definitely enjoys polishing off seconds and sometimes thirds!
The nursery has been really caring and welcoming, from our initial visit through to each morning at drop-off. The visits, settling-in sessions and registration paperwork was all handled really professionally, and I've been particularly impressed with the care and understanding shown by my child's key worker.
The nursery is located in the quiet and very green location. The interior of the nursery is very modern and safe, as well as spacious, lots of space outside in the garden to play, too. Food is healthy and is cooked on the premises by their own chef. I was impressed the most by the nursery's staff and the management, who are very responsive to the parents' requests and to the needs of the children (especially special needs children). They do their best to accommodate even dietary requirements, which is not easy considering that there are so many kids. My son loves going there and I know he is getting the best care while he is there. I am very happy that nursery accepted my son for 2 days a week so far and from September he is going to be there every day because he enjoys it and I have a peace of mind that he is being very well looked after. I would like to thank all the members of staff and especially our key person and the manager for all your hard work!
Having had a negative experience with the previous nursery that my eldest was at, I was apprehensive about putting him back into a nursery. However, Busy Bees Oxford managed him (and me) well and he flourished and loves going to nursery instead of screaming I don't want to go each morning.
Staff are always very friendly and helpful and if they do not know a response they will seek out someone who does. They handled (and quickly squashed) a bullying incident that could have become out of hand and resulted in a big fallout amongst the peers.
Both children are extremely happy and smiley when we drop them off and sometimes getting them to leave to come home is a problem!
Very fun and modern looking nursery. The staff are very friendly and always very welcoming. I feel my child has advanced a lot since going to this nursery and always comes home wet or dirty which shows me that she is having fun.
Excellent place. Everyone is approachable, friendly and professional. Effort made with my own and every other child - done on a considerate and even basis. Absolute thumbs up. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This is a great nursery! My son is so happy at Busy Bees and is developing in leaps and bounds. I think the staff have an amazingly positive attitude and boundless energy. The facilities are really nice. As a working parent, it is a huge weight off my mind to know that he is so well looked after.
We love Busy Bees, and feel very relaxed leaving our little boy in their care. The staff are friendly and make a real effort to get to know each child. The facilities are great too, and there is a really good variety of food each day. We would definitely recommend Busy Bees to others.
