Small World Day Nursery and Pre-School Ltd

My little boy has just left Small World to start reception. He loved his time at Small World and misses it so much. The staff are amazing, so caring and friendly and welcoming. Can't thank them enough - best nursery. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nursery for their little ones. We both miss Small World so much.

Leaving this review to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at Small World. My son left today to start reception, age 4 and has been attending since 11 months old. What a wonderful start he has had attending this nursery. He has loved it so much and received such excellent care. It's true that leaving your child here feels like dropping them off with family. I have spent this evening reading the most amazing scrapbook of his memories at Small World. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough!

Small World Day Nursery is the most incredible nursery, and I would highly recommend it. Staff are warm and friendly and feel more like family after having both of our children attend there over a number of years. We have loved watching our children grow and develop with the outstanding guidance from the Small World Team. We will truly miss going to the nursery every day, but love the fact our children have made fantastic memories and lifelong friends.

My daughter has been at this nursery since April 2021 aged 2 and has just finished preschool. It's an amazing nursery, and the staff are wonderful, thoughtful, caring and compassionate. My daughter has developed so much in this setting, and I would certainly recommend it to other parents/carers.

My son has been at Small World for just over one year, and I could not recommend it more. It really does feel like dropping your child with family; the genuine care and love they have for the children is lovely. I receive regular updates on his activities and development. He is currently transitioning to the toddler room, and I’ve been updated regularly throughout on this. Thank you for making the nursery such a pleasant experience for both my child and myself!

This nursery is home from home. My daughter has attended since she was 7-months-old; she is now three. I just wish this nursery extended for infants and juniors; I never want my daughter to leave. My eldest daughter has secondary cancer and has been fighting for 3-years now; the staff at this nursery don’t just support my youngest daughter, they support my whole family and are always there for us all. This is above and beyond in my eyes. These guys are amazing, and I would recommend this nursery to everyone.

My son absolutely loves being in this nursery. He runs in every morning, and I know he’s enjoying his day. The staff are amazing and so supportive. The activities they have are so good, and I’m amazed at how creative they are and how much my son learns from them. Couldn’t have asked for a better nursery for my son.

He looks forward to going every week, and he has a lovely relationship with the staff and has made lots of friends.

She has autism, and I was worried about sending her to nursery due to her being non-verbal, but I feel so at ease every time I leave her at nursery. The staff are so caring, and I feel my daughter is really looked after. The owner/manager has been so supportive with getting help for my daughter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better nursery! They made sure the settling in period was done properly, and now my daughter runs into the nursery with a big smile on her face. There is an app where staff update parents on what the children have been up to throughout the week and can add pictures, which are lovely. Also, my daughter's key person is amazing and so patient. Would 100% recommend it!

My Grandson absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are absolutely fantastic, always got lovely things to say about my grandson. We were concerned about his lack of speech, but over the last few months, he has come on leaps and bounds; the girls have done amazing with him, cannot thank them enough. I would so recommend anyone to take their little ones there - happy Grandad!

When my oldest son left this nursery, he cried because he didn't want to leave, while my younger son (nearly-2) is extremely excited to attend each day. When you ask him in the morning if he would like to go to nursery, he shouts 'yes please' and immediately gets his shoes to go out of the door. When you pick him up in the evenings, he often does not want to leave. That says it all about Small World really, an exceptionally happy and caring nursery where the children feel very much at home.

The staff are top class, the management team are on the ball and very hands-on. The setting is small,l but they do an incredible amount with the space they have, especially in the garden area. Assessments of my son are regular and clear, and staff and managers engage with parents early if they think children require additional attention in some areas. The nursery tries to mirror what parents are doing at home, which helps hugely with aspects such as teething, potty training and general learning.

My son and daughter both attend this nursery and have a great time there. They are great in the early days when the nursery is new to the child where they need a lot more patience and keep parents well informed on progress through an app from babies right the way up to leaving. We get plenty of updates showing evidence of milestones my children have reached, and I am well informed of how my child's progress is with where they are expected to be for their age. Most importantly, the children love going, and I had no hesitation sending our second child there after the experience of the first. It is a very personal feeling nursery where my children get the care and attention they need.

An exceptional nursery, which our daughter has joined a few months ago. The care and attention that each and every member of staff give to her are excellent. We were so worried about starting our baby girl at nursery as she was only 7.5-months, but we needn't have worried. All the staff are so warm and friendly and have developed a good rapport with her. Management is very hands-on, and the staff in the baby room are clearly passionate about their work. Our daughter is always happy when we drop her off and pick her up, and her general development has been superb. We get detailed progress reports and photos from her time at nursery. We will be very sad to be leaving when we move to another city this summer, and would highly recommend this nursery.

Both of my children have been given such an amazing start to there early years by attending Small World. My son, who is now six and continues to benefit from his time at Small World, as when he started infant school, he had already been given exposure and gained an understanding of phonics, enjoyable maths and social skills, which aided his confidence no end. My daughter is three, and is in the Small World pre-school class, she absolutely loves going to nursery, her development is outstanding, and she is so excited to tell us what activities she has been up to each day. The team at Small World are spectacular, and I would recommend your child attends without hesitation.

My daughter has been at the nursery for 4 years. She has been supported to develop her social skills, intelligence and emotional intelligence, including a focus on resilience and kindness. She is confident to start attending primary school.

During Covid19, the staff kept everyone updated on developments which was great. They also sent daily games and activities to do with our children while at home. After some time away (due to COVID) I was a little worried my son wouldn't settle again, however, all the staff were amazing with him, and he instantly settled again. The staff are brilliant and make you feel like you have known them years. They are fantastic with all the kids, and provide daily updates and pictures of their day via the nursery's app. My son (and I) love it here.

I cannot say enough good things about this nursery. I leave my son with them four days out of five knowing that he will be happy and safe in their care. They go above and beyond with thoughtful and interesting activities. The staff always have time to discuss his development and have been really helpful with ideas on how we can do things at home. I know that they genuinely care about him. The nursery has been recently refurbished and looks welcoming and clean.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone considering looking for their child. When my son started he was 8 months old, now nearly 4. His progression has been amazing and this is down to the fantastic care of all staff in Small World. My son had problems pronouncing certain words and was a little slower when starting to talk. The girls in the nursery were so helpful in giving tips and providing fun activities to do at home and in nursery which has proved fantastic. We now have a very chatty little boy!! Lovely nursery and lovely staff.

A brilliant nursery, my daughter loves it here and loves all the staff, they are all excellent, warm and friendly. The kids always look so happy and their days are full of activities and fun. They have helped us immensely when we have needed them and we are very grateful. My son attended this nursery and staff helped him gain confidence and I know he misses everyone. I would recommend this nursery to anyone who wants their child to have a happy, close knit, wonderful and safe experience. They have a very personal touch, you feel that the staff genuinely care for your child, thanks to all.
