Pixieland Day Nursery - HMS Drake

My daughter has settled into nursery so well and that is down to the staff at Roger's Burrow. They all go above and beyond for the children, my daughter has so much fun. I would highly recommend this nursery.

This nursery was absolutely amazing for my little boy. All the staff were so lovely when getting him from the door and I especially have to thank the babies team for how well he settled. He built such strong relationships with the staff and talks about them often at home. The manager is absolutely lovely too and will always strive to help. The updates daily are really helpful to have and it's nice to see what he has done throughout the day.

My daughter has been going to this nursery for over two years. The manager and the whole team are brilliant, from helping her to settle in when she started, to all the amazing activities they do with the children and to always encouraging and bringing the best out of each child’s personality. The manager and the team have been a big part in my daughter becoming more and more confident, creative and a well-rounded little human. As well as the ladies in the nursery, every time I have had to sort funding or been confused (which happens a lot!) a particular staff member in accounts has been so friendly and helpful and nothing has ever been too much trouble. We are excited to leave and start somewhere new but will be sad to say goodbye to such a lovely group of people and children. Thank you very much.

Had a tour of the setting. Nursery's manager is very professional and friendly, she showed us around, compared to other nurseries I have visited, this one has very professional staff, very clean and lovely environment for kids. I am sure my son will love the place once starts to settle in.

My daughter is always excited to get to nursery and clearly loves spending time there and with the staff. She learns and develops well there and brings the things she learns home to show us. One thing I would like is a parent's evening to get that dedicated one-on-one time to chat with her staff.

My son loves going to nursery every Thursday and Friday he goes from 7-6 and enjoys every minute, we can see that he’s thriving and learning a lot whilst there. The updates you get and the photos of the activities they do are brilliant. It’s nice to hear about his jam-packed day in daily diaries at the end of the day. Would recommend the nursery to any friends and family as it’s a warm welcoming environment and if we were lucky to have any children in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to send them there.

The team at the nursery are absolutely amazing. The staff are all so lovely and my little boy loves going every day. They do a wide range of activities and my little boy has come on leaps and bounds. The app log is a great way to see what he is up to each day and has loads of information about his sleep/diet/bottles and nappies. The only thing I would change is we don’t get to go into the nursery and see what they do each day. I don’t see how he interacts with the environment or what he loves to play with which I think would be really special. I can’t imagine the things they describe him doing as I’ve never seen the inside before. The staff handovers are comprehensive and they clearly care so much for the children.

It's a lovely nursery and teh staff are really friendly and professional. Our two children are looked after extremely well and are developing really well. They enjoy going to nursery and our eldest tells everyone she loves 'work', which is what she calls the nursery.

My son’s been going for just over a month now and he really enjoys it. It’s really nice seeing all the photos on the app and being able to see what he’s eaten and drank. The staff there seem really nice and he really likes them all, even the ones who aren’t in his room. The manager has been really accommodating and helpful too.

My child continues to have a fantastic time at HMS Drake. He is always excited to tell me what he has done that day and brings home lovely artwork. The staff are so friendly and really take their time to get to know the children. My only negative comment is that there is no indication of whether aspects of his learning are behind or exceeding what is expected of children his age, which would be really useful to know when he starts school. Other than that I am really happy with everything he receives from HMS Drake.

Communication around changes of policy needs to improve. The expectation for parents to guess when a policy might change is unacceptable.

My son loves and thrives in this nursery and he has come on leaps and bounds since attending Rogers Burrows, it is such a nice feeling how much he loves the nursery staff and he always looks forward to going in. At Christmas this year he made two sets of all his decorations, cards and Christmas art one for me and one for his dad, things like this mean a lot and I am thankful the staff here are so caring and thoughtful.

My son has attended Rogers Burrow Nursery for more than a year now. He is incredibly happy there and walks in by himself without a worry and greets me with a smile at the end of each day. He has a close bond with his carers who pay special attention to him and adapt as his needs change as he grows. The team provide comprehensive end-of-day updates both verbally at pick-up and via their app. They keep in regular contact with us also on his development/nursery updates via telephone and email. They look to tailor the activities to the children and their interests/learning needs. The management team are also very accessible - regularly speaking to parents - and clearly adore the children while leading a wonderful happy team. The outdoor area is also wonderful and a big plus! It offers lots of space for the children to explore in a safe, modern and clean environment. We are very happy with this nursery and know our child is in safe hands.

I recommend Roger Burrows Nursery highly, they are diligent, caring and lots of fun for your children. Both my boys have been at this nursery and they loved it. All the staff are friendly and give excellent feedback on your child's daycare and activities they also take photos and fill diaries so you can keep up with the day-by-day journals of your kid's learning and fun.

I absolutely love this nursery. With my little boy being is lockdown baby I was nervous about how he would handle mixing with other children and adults. However, from day 1, it was very clear I didn't need to worry. The staff are amazing in what they do and my little boy loves going each day. They always have a great fun-filled and educational day planned. My little one has come on leaps and bounds and we look forward to further progress.

We absolutely love this nursery, my little girl has been going since she was ten months old and always goes in happy. They are so creative in what they celebrate monthly and introduce new tastes for the little ones including, from around the world in celebration of big events such as Chinese New Year. The daily logs are perfect for knowing exactly what your little one has gotten up to for the day and enables you to also post any updates. I feel completely at ease knowing my daughter is getting the best care whilst I am at work, which eases our minds so much. I can’t thank the nursery enough for the amazing and compassionate care they always give.

A wonderful nursery and wonderful staff. Both of my children have attended and both have absolutely loved it. I couldn't recommend it enough. The staff are great if my daughter is ever upset in the mornings and the communication and online journey is brilliant. I feel like I know exactly what she has been doing throughout the day.

We hope one day in the near future to maybe be allowed into the nursery to see him properly in the nursery environment.
