Kids Planet Horsforth is a family owned private nursery that gives children the best start to life by giving them the confidence to play and learn about the world around them. Children are nurtured and encouraged as they discover their own unique personality and take part in a wide variety of activities to boost their imagination and social skills.

The nursery takes the safety of children very seriously and has complex security systems including CCTV monitoring and door entry intercom devices.

The nursery has age appropriate rooms, designed and furnished with resources and furniture to assist child carers covering the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

I have been bringing my children to Kids Planet for the last 5 years and feel it is outstanding. The door security system is great and any errors are resolved promptly. The inside lobby is inviting and the worry tree is great!!! All classrooms are fully equipped and the staff are all phenomenal. Our
little boy goes to a school with a nursery and it would be easier if both children went to the same place, but because of the staff we are keeping our youngest at Kids Planet. This is how much the staff mean to us and our little girl. Neither child has ever had issues and any particular needs have been focussed on. Would highly recommend.

I couldn't be happier with the care my son receives at Kids Planet, Horsforth. The staff are so friendly and obviously care a great deal about their jobs. They have a great way with the children and are able to adapt their approach to different personalities. The outdoor space is fantastic and the activities
are engaging. My son has really come on so much since starting there and is always happy and having fun when I come to collect him. He has made some special bonds with the staff in his room and I think he will really miss them when he finishes. Having gone through a few difficulties as a mother in my personal life I have really felt supported at Kids Planet and I really feel they make a genuine effort to support the family as a whole. I think the fact that everything is included (nappies, wipes, nappy cream, sun cream, food) just makes it that little bit easier for parents. I personally will also really miss them when my son finishes to start school in September. Thank you.

I reviewed the nursery back when my eldest son originally started in 2020. His little brother has now joined him there and everything I wrote then still stands. The staff really make the place, they develop a close bond with the children and genuinely care about giving them the best possible experience.

I have two sons at this setting. Both have settled in really well, including smooth room transitions. The staff are very attentive and caring and have strong bonds with my children. Their confidence has grown as a result, and my eldest has been well supported in the run-up to starting school.

From when my son started at Kids Planet (around 2 years ago) we have had such a positive experience of the nursery. His key workers at each stage have been absolutely wonderful, working hard to get to know him and build really close bonds with him, and other staff members have all been fantastic too.
I've been so impressed by how engaged they are with the kids, the lovely activities they plan/environment they create, their focus on the children's learning and development and how much they clearly genuinely care about them. My son has always found transitions hard so for a long time he would get upset at drop-off time, but staff were always so reassuring and would update me when he settled (always very quickly). It's so reassuring to know he is being well looked after and stimulated with lots of great activities and games. Thank you Kids Planet!

Our daughter loves attending Kids Planet Horsforth and has been here since Jan 2021. She has spent time in each of the rooms and has enjoyed developing and learning throughout. All of the staff are friendly and very approachable. Our daughter has created special bonds with many of the staff members
and will miss them greatly when she leaves for school later this year.
The outside area is vast and there are lots of exciting activities for the children to enjoy. They make an effort to take the kids outside where possible (weather permitting). The food is excellent and our daughter enjoys the variety.
The annual Christmas Concert is a lot of fun and our daughter really enjoys the special themed days throughout the year.
Finally, communication is excellent with updates arriving via the app and regular emails from the manager updating us of forthcoming events.

A brilliant pre-school and nursery to our 4-year-old and 2-year-olds. They love it there, are clearly thriving and always look forward to going in (they miss it too when they are not in!) They have both made so many friends there (including staff too...) Would highly recommend it.

My children have been at Kids Planet, Horsforth since November 2020 and February 2023. They both thrive and it is a fantastic setting. The staff are incredible with the children as well as their communication and assistance with parents. They are always on hand to chat with and discuss any issues that
relate to the children both in and outside the setting to further their overall wellbeing and development. They have felt like an extended family over the last 3+ years and all the staff genuinely care about their jobs and the children and families they deal with. They have great facilities and are always engaging the children with fantastic activities both inside the classrooms and the outside areas or even on local trips out. My son will be sad to leave in September to go to school and I'm glad my daughter has another few years left there. We are lucky to live in an area with many childcare settings but we are so glad we chose Kids Planet.

We love Kids Planet Horsforth, and we’re so grateful to the staff for taking such good care of our little boy. He absolutely loves it there and has such a nice time, and he comes home with so many new words and experiences to tell us about. When we first sent him there we thought that he was just being
‘looked after’ for the day, but we realised very quickly that they do so much more for his development than this. After two and a half years at Kids Planet, we can safely say this has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for him so far!

I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent, they are so warm and welcoming and helped to settle my son in very well. The outdoor space is fantastic and they also have a sensory room which the children regularly use. My son chats about the staff at home so I know he loves them too! They take
part in lots of different activities which keeps them busy and learning. I have no negatives.

Our son has been attending this nursery since he was 8 months old (he’s now just turned 3). He has always been incredibly well looked after and has learnt so much from the wonderful staff. He has a number of dietary allergies, which the team have always been fantastic with - making sure he has alternatives
when needed and keeping us informed of menu changes or any issues. The staff have always taken the time to get to know him and his interests and quirks. We are so pleased we chose to send him here!

My daughter has settled in really well, and always gets lots of info throughout the day on what she's been doing. She has a good rapport with her key worker and staff. I would definitely recommend the nursery, my youngest will start there soon.

My little boy has attended Kids Planet since August and has settled in so well. All the staff in his room are lovely and he has a great bond with his key worker. The staff ensure his routine is followed and are very informative about his day when feeding back at the end of the day. I always get updates
about activities he’s done, how well he’s eaten and just his day in general. My little boy has come on so well since starting nursery and has achieved new milestones which the staff in his room have played a huge part in. I cannot wait to watch my little boy learn and develop throughout his time at nursery!

My little girl has attended here from 18 months old and really struggled with separation anxiety in the beginning. But from being loved and taken care of by amazing practitioners my daughter then was able to settle straight in with lots of cuddles and amazing activities from her key worker! The bond
my daughter has with the staff members is incredible and made leaving her so much easier. I get daily updates from the app and always look forward to seeing what my little one has got up to that day. The staff follow clear instructions really well and are always attentive to my little girl's needs. Couldn't fault this nursery and so happy I chose this one for her!

Since my child began with Kids Planet Horsforth, he has come on leaps and bounds! All the staff are lovely within the building and my child has an amazing bond with his key worker. He enters the room happy to see the staff and children which makes me feel at ease for drop-offs. My child completes stimulating
activities every day which is shown to me through an app. The nursery has a lot of events for parents to attend which is great to see my child in that environment and how happy he is!

We stayed with Kids planet the whole of 3 months. My baby was aged 8.5/9-12 months during this time. The staff in the Tots room are lovely and did their best for my baby but we experienced a good few issues while we were there:
- Scheduling: The app wasn't set up for 2 weeks. His intake form obviously
hadn't been read so it was daily conversations to keep driving the message home (whole milk on his cereal when I told them to use his formula - no morning nap as "they go outside at that time" were just some of the common backsteps). Once I'd vocalised they did their best to address but I found you had to keep asking them.
- my baby is very clumsy but he had a lot of "daily" incidents and one bad one just before we left. I thought at the time it was age but my baby is now learning to walk in our new nursery and we have next to none there.
- out of term time rooms were collapsed but no one called to discuss or mention how smaller babies would be managed in this context.

A great nursery. Our daughter loves attending. Overall, the nursery has excellent care and has developed our daughter which you can see from what she learns each day. Special mention to the chef(s) who prepares meals for our daughter with special dietary requirements. The measures put in place for Covid-19

Very happy with the facilities, and it is always very clean. The staff are lovely and attentive to the child's needs. It's a very personalized service. Daily activities are varied and educational. Both my kids loved it and were excited to attend. Often didn't want to leave! Both of my kids have allergies
and were very well catered for. Overall, a very positive experience. 100% recommend Kinder Haven and have done to friends and family.
