Meet the Team (1)

Emma McCartneyJob Title Nursery ManagerJoined 1999

Mrs Emma McCartney, B’TEC, qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1999. Emma then joined Forbury Gardens Day Nursery, in Reading as a newly Qualified Nursery Nurse. Emma worked in all age groups working her way up to becoming the Deputy Manager.

Emma took on the job of Nursery Manager at Newbury Gardens Day Nursery on opening in September 2013. After 14 years at our sister Nursery in Reading Emma felt the time was right to move to manage this new Nursery. Emma is passionate about ensuring high standards of care are maintained at Newbury Gardens Day Nursery and she is looking forward to welcoming lots of new families to the Nursery.

Emma has attended many training courses to help keep abreast of changes within the Early Years and has also attended an Emergency Paediatric First Aid course enabling her to be an Appointed First Aider for the Nursery. Emma is also a Mum of twins who attended the Nursery. Read less
