They have been treated with so much kindness since joining the nursery, in each and every room. Despite only being in two days a week, everyone knows their names, what is going on at home, even the name of bunny comforters!
They have lots of outside time, craft time and independent play. We really rate the nursery, the team and the communications we receive, the team take a genuine interest in them and what is really heartwarming is that they still ask after them when they move rooms. Senior management are hands-on and always engages with both children and parents.
Weekly updates are lovely, there's not as much app-based contact as some other nurseries but I'd sooner have them looking after the children than always on a screen! Sometimes they even do little trips out. The gardens are big and age-appropriate. We can only speak from our experience but the nursery has been fab.
I would thoroughly recommend Newbury Gardens. The staff are fantastic - a really friendly and caring team that made both my children feel loved and safe. The food is marvellous and they put so much effort into arranging fun, educational things for the children to do. I've felt really fortunate to be able to entrust my children to them and would wholeheartedly recommend the nursery to other parents.
It is also worth noting that the hygiene is great here - any outbreaks of typical childhood illnesses (present in every and any nursery) are swiftly dealt with and contained.
Communication is great and management always has time for queries.
The building is well-loved and you can see that little people are the focus here.
They do not show pictures of their huge garden on their website so we initially thought they had no outdoor space. How wrong we were!
My son has come along hugely in confidence since joining them. Their manager is just lovely. We were really surprised to be offered as space as my son had allergies to various foods and we thought he would be low down on their list for allocation for this reason. Not only did they accept him but they were so careful with his allergies (much more careful than the nursery he went to before).
We highly recommend.
Newbury Gardens Day Nursery has provided both of our children with a really caring, supportive and fun nursery experience. The staff work incredibly hard to really get to know the children and with their gentle help, we've seen both of our children really develop and thrive here.
They provide a wide variety of fun activities for the children to entertain them, and the food is varied too.
We’ve been particularly impressed with the lady (who has now moved department) and another in the bunnies room too.
My daughter has been with Newbury Gardens for just under a year. In that time, her confidence and happiness levels have grown, she loves her time at nursery, and we enjoy seeing her development through the shared photos and updates. All the staff are excellent; they know my daughter even though they work in a different room, and her key worker has formed a lovely bond with her. There are lots of activities, and she is able to spend a lot of time outside in the garden and enjoys the food. Overall, I would definitely recommend Newbury Gardens!
I couldn't have hoped for a better experience with a nursery. My son's key person was fantastic at helping him to settle when he started in January and he has been thriving at the nursery ever since. The staff are so warm and caring, as well as always professional. It's lovely to see the bond my son has with them. They run a great range of activities for the children. They have also been so responsible and careful in relation to my son's allergies. I really feel that my son is being well looked after every day and that his individuality is recognised and nurtured.
Our Son has been at Newbury Gardens Day Nursery for over 3 years. I could not imagine sending him anywhere else. The staff throughout the nursery have been absolutely amazing, and any questions or requests are answered promptly. We have nothing but praise and admiration for the care they have given to our son. He absolutely loves attending and will often talk about the members of staff and what they have done with him or the games that they have played. There is genuine care and interest in every child.
We are well informed about what the children have been doing and the staff are happy to talk through his progress. He has learnt so much during his time there and the staff have been unwavering in their kindness and support through the pandemic and all the challenges that they have faced. Not once has anything ever felt like it was too much to ask. We are eternally grateful and I will continue to recommend it without hesitation.
Our daughter has been at Newbury Gardens Day Nursery for over three years now. I would not think of sending her anywhere else. Our son is joining soon despite there being other nurseries closer. The staff are fantastic and the care and support provided are outstanding. I cannot find any fault in all the time my daughter has attended.
Such a brilliant nursery! We moved our little one across from a different nursery due to relocating and it was the best thing we did. They have really helped with the development of our daughter whether that be table manners, handwriting or more active play and we would definitely recommend Newbury Gardens Day Nursery. Sadly, our daughter is just about to start school but we will miss all the team.
I was very sceptical when I first started dropping off my seven month old here at the nursery. But it took just two weeks worth of sessions here to put me completely at ease. My child absolutely loves the nursery. She learns so much here and has become confident at interacting with others and learning new skills due to her time here. The care here is amazing, as a mother I am completely satisfied. They make them do a range of activities and encourage them at picking up new skills. The staff are very patient and take time to interact with parents and resolve any concerns. Parental input for the child's food and nutrition needs are given a lot of importance which was very important to me as my child was really small. Overall this is a perfectly nurturing environment and I can blindly recommend the nursery to everyone.
On the fees, we could inform them of our holidays in advance and appropriate discount was given on our monthly fees which was very helpful.
Great and friendly staff! A lot of activities for children from 6 months old. Child development report is produced regularly to parents. Daily update on how the day was sent. Encourage Healthy eating habits with a variety of fruits and vegetables included in the menu. Lovely and well-arranged garden area for outdoor activities.
A lovely nursery in central Newbury. The staff are fantastic with the kids and do some great activities. They even bring in external professionals in for particular activities (e.g. sports) which bring additional diversity to the day. The children sometimes go to the local park too. The nursery has a fantastic on-line system for posting pictures and videos of your child at nursery to show key milestone events. The food is good and I understand they also provide meals for their staff which I think reflects that the management care about their staff (not all nurseries do this). The staff turnover seems quite low which suggests the staff are happy. I do have experience of other nurseries and I would say that this one stands out compared to others I know. I'd like to say thank you to the staff for taking such good care of my little boy while he was at Newbury Gardens Day Nursery.
A very good nursery and my son is very happy attending five days a week. Lots of activities and interaction with meals cooked on the premises. Only negative I can add is that it only opens from 8am - 6pm which can prove difficult at times, other competitors in the area open at 7:30 am - 6pm which would make things so much easier.
Learning is excellent. Children are really looked after well. Outside very good. Communications with parents always clear. Food is good and the nursery nurses are very professional but also lovely with children. The management is excellent. Overall I would definitely recommend this nursery
My son has been at Newbury Gardens since he was 10 months old he is now 27 months, and we've been delighted with our choice. The care he gets there is excellent with lots of stimulating activities, outside and inside. The staff who really seem to care.
After viewing many of our local nurseries and preschools Newbury Gardens Day Nursery was by far my favourite, and my daughters. I instantly knew this was the place my daughter would thrive in and I was right. Not only is the nursery is itself lovely the gardens are just great for the little ones and come rain or shine or snow they get out and explore. If I ever have any questions or just want to check in all the staff are fabulous always there to help. Couldn't ask for anything more. I feel very involved in my daughters time spent there, Love the little parties and sessions where parents can come and be a part of what they get up to and seeing what the children are getting up too. Would highly recommend to anyone .
We are very happy with the standard of care our child receives. The staff are lovely and welcoming, and a wide range of activities are offered. The gardens are fantastic. The food is lovely too. Our daughter loves it so much she never wants to leave at pick up time! I would highly recommend this nursery.
