When we first started looking at nurseries for our son, Parsonage stood out to us. They recognised the need to fit around the individual child and not for the child to fit into the setting. The staff team are friendly, approachable, and informative and always have the time to talk to you about any your child’s day. There is good communication between the setting and home with regular updates through the app and they always welcome any additional contact. There is a wide selection of activities on offer each session, a mixture of free play and some structured. The outside area appears quite small but is full of things to do and a firm favorite!

My daughter has been going to this nursery since January last year and they have been absolutely brilliant. She has bonded well with all of the employees.
Any accidents are explained to me on pick up and logged on the system.

At pick up, I get told how her day has been, how she's behaved and interacted with everyone. They keep you updated on the website with pictures as well which is always lovely to see and they are very easygoing. I'd highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending here for around 1 1/2 years. This was the first nursery setting we looked at and instantly knew this was the one. The staff are all great with the kids, they learn so much and do all kinds of activities you'd never even think of. Her communication skills have come on leaps and bounds, and thanks to Kindred Parsonage Pre-school , even though my daughter will be one of the youngest ones starting school, she is most definitely ready. I would never choose a different nursery.

The nursery is small regarding outside play but my children (boys) don't really take notice because they enjoy themselves and the staff go far and beyond for the children. I have had no problems at all with regard to any concerns. I am always well informed regarding their learning through the app and staff are always approachable to speak to about how the day has been. My boys love all their teachers and I am happy that they attend this nursery. Thank you.

We moved our son to this nursery in September. Since his arrival there, he has thrived. Every morning he runs in without a second glance back - a testimony to how happy he is here. The staff are really friendly and genuinely have your child’s best interests at heart. The staff are well trained and experienced and are ready to learn and respond to your child's individual needs. They adopt a learning environment that enables your child to be more independent, giving them great foundations to eventually facilitate a positive transition to school. The contact from the nursery via an app is regularly updated with your child’s activities throughout their day and each activity is tailored to your child’s ability. A fun, safe and welcoming environment for your child, you simply couldn’t ask for more.

I have had all 4 of my boys go to this school and every boy loved going. They learned so much at playschool. The staff are so welcoming, it's like a big family, the boys have loved being there. Also, love that you can see your children's learning and see what they do on the app. Amazing nursery.

I have a nearly 3-year-old daughter who attends Kindred Parsonage and can't ask for better care than she receives. All of the staff are caring, professional and approachable. My daughter has allergies and I am extremely confident that she is safe here. The care has always been amazing but has been even more amazing following covid 19. Outstanding measures are in place. My daughter had a long break due to Covid 19 but has settled amazingly and on her first day smiled until bedtime.

Previously my eldest daughter attended this setting and again, the care was amazing. I knew this would be the place for my children from the moment I spoke to the manager upon enquiry. As a former nursery manager and childminder myself, I would not hesitate to recommend this setting to others.

My son has been at this playschool for the last two years and he’s really enjoyed it. It took him a long time to settle as we now know he has a diagnosis of autism.
All the ladies at Kindred Parsonage Pre-school have been amazing and so supportive with us and our son at playschool. Everyone has gone above and beyond to make sure he feels safe and has fun whilst playing there.

I would highly recommend anyone to put their child’s name down for this playschool, they are such lovely people and will make you feel so welcome, and your child will get the best care there.

Kindred Parsonage is a brilliant nursery, my son absolutely loves going there and is always full of stories from his day when I pick him up, all the staff have been brilliant returning to nursery after reopening due to COVID-19 and have always made sure the children are safe whilst being there and dropping off at school.

I have had two children attend this Pre School and never had any issues or concerns and both children have never had any issues when leaving them there. The management and staff are all very warm and welcoming, the communication has always been brilliant, and even more so during lockdown! It'll be bittersweet when my daughter leaves next July!

I moved my little girl to Parsonage Pre-school after a negative experience at another setting. I was in turmoil over the ‘best thing to do’ for my child. As soon as I made contact via the phone my mind was put at ease. The manager was kind, understanding and reassuring, she suggested a visit and my little girl showed more confidence with her amazing key worker than she ever had at the previous setting. The setting took her lead and never pushed her into a situation she wasn’t comfortable with. After a few settling in sessions, my little girl was able to say goodbye. The staff are outstanding and genuinely care about all aspects of the children’s well-being. My only regret is not moving her sooner.

My son has attended Parsonage Pre-school since he was two years ten months and is now almost off to school. He has a fantastic bond with his key worker and all the staff and most days runs in and doesn't look back and on the rare days he doesn't settle, his needs are met. There are fantastic activities provided daily and great communications through his online learning journal. It offers freeflow throughout to give the children a variety of learning spaces. The setting has two family socials a year and these are a big hit along with festive celebrations. The setting offers perfect hours and flexibility to meet my childcare requirements.
My son has just returned as lockdown eases and having not been in since March (now June) he ran in not looking back. The setting also kept up communications throughout this time with activity ideas and advice.

More recently the setting has changed ownership and I have witnessed a smooth transition in, minimal (positive) changes and consistent care from staff.

My daughter has loved every moment of her two years at Kindred Parsonage, the staff are amazing and there is a real family environment.
I feel at all times that my daughter is well looked after, well educated, safe and happy. The support the staff give with things like potty training is fantastic and they are willing to go at your pace.
I am notified quickly if there is ever an issue/illness and feel the communication between key workers and parents is extremely good with regular updates and photos. I have always felt that I can ask any question on drop off and collection and it is never an issue. I like being able to ask how my daughter is getting on in certain areas and them taking the time to tell me where some nurseries make you feel as though they don’t have time.

As a family we have really enjoyed the Christmas shows and the family socials which really make you feel part of the “ Parsonage Family”. The nursery's best attribute is the incredibly devoted and caring staff.

Very pleasing atmosphere. My child has been anxious lately but the staff have been happy and comforting to my child, encouraging play, learning and development which I can track on Tapestry frequently. Encourage reading with book bags and books to take home and read. The gate needs a secure repair to car park - very flimsy, maybe a new one? More space for changing/coat hooks - some are broken? More space for drinking bottles - some hanging off edge, very packed! I have text message at times and had no reply, once being told text hadn't been received?

Hello, my name is Gemma and I am the Nursery Manager here at Kindred Durrington.

I hold a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education and I started work at Durrington in September 2017 after returning from maternity leave with my little girl. My journey started as a Level 3 practitioner however, just before going on maternity leave with my son in 2019 I had the amazing opportunity to start my journey into a more senior role, becoming a Room Leader. I have progressed my career since working at Kindred Durrington, holding roles as Nursery SENCO and Deputy Manger before becoming Nursery Manager in January 2023.
