Only took two sessions for my two year old to settle in here and she still loves coming 2.5 years later and that’s down to the caring and professional staff. There are lots for her to do and she especially likes playing in the garden. It’s the perfect location for commuting into the city but also easy
parking which is a big help. Very pleased with Chingford Pre-School!

We are really happy that we chose this nursery for our son.
The staff are really friendly, caring and helpful.
The staff made us feel really welcome and comfortable from our 1st visit. Our son even felt relaxed enough to play a little on our 1st visit to see the nursery and we knew it was the right
place for him.
The staff and management have been really accommodating to his needs and I feel this has made the settling in process easier for him and for us.
All the staff work really hard to get to know your child and their needs to make them feel as safe and comfortable as they can in an environment that is away from home.
We feel that our son is already benefiting from the time he has spent in this nursery.

My son has been here since December in the baby room 3 days a week. From the very beginning, I have been extremely happy with all the staff and the nursery.
Any concerns I had about leaving him at nursery were soon erased by the professional and caring staff. As with most children, he was a little
unsure to start but he got used to it very quickly which was due to the patience and kindness of the staff in the baby room. Now he is happy at drop off and at pick up, so I can be assured he has had a good day

There is also an excellent understanding of my child's needs and a very clear communication about my child's day.

The manager and assistant manager are also very approachable, friendly and professional which means you feel you can always ring them with any queries or concerns

Our son has been in the baby rooms for the last 5 months and has just moved into the toddler room.
We paid a visit to the nursery just after the new leadership team were in place, from first impressions, through settling in sessions to now, it has exceeded our expectations. All the staff are professional,
enthusiastic, hardworking and genuinely lovely people, who are clearly led very well.
The development we have seen in our boy has been wonderful but most importantly we have no doubt he is very happy in his surroundings 3 days a week at nursery.
Finally, I have given a high rating for value for money, it's certainly expensive and other nurseries are cheaper but given how impressed we have been I think it deserves its rating.

We are so, so happy with this lovely nursery. This is the third nursery for our daughter (due to logistics/moving) but this has been the first where she hasn't screamed as I leave her in the morning! I feel as though her learning, development and social skills have increased so quickly. It is always
so lovely to walk into the nursery where the staff and kids are always friendly and happy. Couldn't be happier.

Generally, I am very happy with Asquith Chingford Nursery. The staff are very welcoming towards myself and my son. I feel his language and social skills have greatly improved since he has started nursery and he is happy there. There were some issues when settling in regarding staff not following certain
instructions and also at other times, I feel that not all staff were knowledgeable about medicines protocol but these have been resolved. The issues did not reoccur.

This nursery is excellent, my child enjoys coming here. She looks forward to coming and seeing her friends and her key worker, who she loves playing with and enjoys helping her in the room. She is learning lots of new things all the time and we can see a big improvement since coming here.

A new branch of a big nursery chain, opened in February 2015. Before it's opening, we were using another local nursery, and we had reserved our kid to go to another local nursery this year. Then we found this new Asquith Chingford, it turns out to suit us the best, and my kid loves it too, so we decided
to have our kid stay till the school age.

Situated right in the Chingford town centre, close to the train station, and opening long hours (from 7am to 7pm), this nursery if perfect for us busy working parent who need to commute to work every day. Had heard the horror story of another nursery where a kid escaped to outside, we looked at its safeguarding arrangement and feel very satisfied.

This nursery is based on a site of an old closed nursery, but had a good refurbishment carried out before it's opening. The living and education facility is quite up-to-date, and we especially like the roomy and well planned outdoor area, which my kid ha has a lot of fun.

The staff are friendly, playful and considerate. With plenty of activities, our kid feels happy to come to this nursery. There had been some staff and management changes during the past year, but with the benefit of being part of a big nursery chain, there are always plenty suitable experienced managers and staff can be drawn into this nursery, so the running seems smooth.

Overall, I feel this nursery is running at a very good standard, providing invaluable help to busy parents like us. Therefore I would recommend this nursery.

Very pleased with my son's progress at Chingford Nursery. The facilities are great and the staff are very friendly and caring. The food is also a big hit with a good range of dishes and lots of fresh fruit. My son seems to enjoy his time there which has made my return to work a lot easier.

We moved from Hove and a lovely nursery there and were worried that we were not going to find an as nice and good nursery/pre school again.
However, as soon as we walked in to view Asquith in Chingford we immediately loved it - the spaces as well as the fact that it is not too big and busy - just
a nice and good nursery and pre school to play and also learn in! They have a lovely learning room which is great and the smart board in the pre school room is really good and the garden is fantastic!
Staff are all friendly and professional.
Also, I want to add their health and safety and medication policies and guidelines are very good - we experienced this in regards to our daughter's food allergy and the support, plans and assessments that they have in place.
The children have their own place mats too which is nice - with their photo, name and any allergies shown on them.

We, and our daughter, are very happy that we found this lovely, small and very good nursery!

My 3.5yo has attended two other nurseries and he has been happiest at this nursery. My son loves the staff and I appreciate the time they take on handover to fully communicate with me.
In the preschool class the kids get to spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoor area and get to enjoy a wide range
of 'messy play'. My son loves the garden and all the equipment.
The range of food provided is also impressive.
Any queries I have raised with management have been answered promptly.
I'm very happy with this nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.835)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.835) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Chingford Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.935 for Bright Horizons Chingford Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (101 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.935
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Chingford Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 number of registered child places is 8, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
