Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath

My daughter joined Kids Love Nature Kindergarten in April 2021, having spent lockdown at home, and as a parent, I was super nervous about how my daughter would adapt to a new setting and new faces and I know my daughter was anxious about being left. The team at Avon Heath couldn’t have done more to support us and we have very open communication ongoing. The setting is so unique and explorative and the ranger walks and craft time is superb. My daughter really enjoys her time with Kids Love Nature and I love the regular photos and updates and curriculum benchmarks I get sent on the parent app which really showcase the wonderful environment my daughter is learning in. I cannot recommend the setting and staff enough.

I don’t have enough space to go through every aspect on how amazing this nursery has been for me and my child. He loved it the second he walked in. The area outside is a child’s dream and he enjoys every second he is there, mud play, bikes, sand and even their own chickens! My son struggled to settle after the months off last year but the staff were all amazing and encouraged him to go in with them and always there with a smile on their faces. He comes out of nursery every time to tell me how much fun he’s had that day, either on a ranger walk discovering the heath lands, making camp fires or playing with his friends. The activities they do each day are amazing and he has experienced so many things at nursery that he may have never at a playschool based inside. I love that he is ready for the next steps of going to school and knows how to do all the things required for the classroom like sitting and listening or going to the toilet independently! He would stay here forever if he could.

Cannot recommend this nursery any higher than I already do.

We’ll be back with our younger daughter next year! Couldn’t imagine sending our children anywhere else. 10/10.

My son has been attending Kids Love Nature for nearly 2 years and my daughter has just started. We have found the nursery such a wonderful experience. It has lots of outdoor space to enjoy, rain or shine. The staff are amazing and the activities are all nature-based so they learn lots about the world around them, along with how to write and count through play. We love the imagination that our son has developed through independent play and how obsessed he is with water, bugs and insects. He surprises us every day with new songs he's sung or games he's played. This really is a wonderful nursery and we can't wait to watch our little girl develop the same way our son has.

Kids Love Nature is an outstanding nursery. Our son has thrived here. The staff and forest rangers are absolutely amazing and have a wonderful approach to teaching. I look forward to hearing about what they’ve been up to throughout the day!

Kids Love Nature at Avon Heath also has chickens, they grow their own vegetables and do lots of creative arts and crafts as well as go on ranger walks into the forest. My son is so happy there that we delayed school so he could stay there until he turns 5.

My daughter has been here for 2-years and has had an amazing time. The staff are so welcoming and professional, any challenges faced by my daughter were solved jointly with the team, and she has really thrived in this setting. The location, walks, outside space in nature and natural style resources have aided her development. She has made some wonderful friends during her time here and seeing them play in the park after pick up has been a joy to watch. Absolutely cannot recommend it highly enough!

The food seems varied and nutritious and the staff appear lovely and have been helpful with admin as it’s my first experience with the new childcare account.

Such a fun place to go before school starts. Love the nature side, caring, sharing, getting dirty and having fun. little experience but my kids love it. Will be sad when my son leaves for school next September, will miss the staff I have got close to dearly.

Our 4-year-old son has been attending Avon Heath for nearly a year and he absolutely loves it! Very easy-going with obviously a strong leaning to outdoor play and independence. Freshly cooked food every day and excellent facilities all round.

Brilliant nursery, staff do an awesome job, being able to play outside for as long as they want and get messy is brilliant, children should be able to have fun and enjoy and this nursery delivers, going on ranger walks is an added bonus too.

Finding Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath made our move from London that much easier. Our daughter started there when she was 2.5 years old, and initially, it was an adjustment for us coming from a nursery where her every move/meal was reported to a setting where she is far more independent, but we couldn't be happier. She has free choice of what to do throughout the day - loves art, ranger walks, building things in the (huge) garden, mudslides, gardening, role play, helping in the kitchen - too many to list, but all things little ones should be doing. Messily. She has a good relationship with all the staff. Her interest and love of nature has been amazing to watch, as well as her physical ability which is most definitely a product of playing/climbing outdoors so much. We are sad to be saying goodbye when she starts school in September, but are grateful for the time she's had at Kids Love Nature Kindergarten and wish we'd been able to have a similar experience growing up. These guys have the right recipe!

My little boy has been nurtured so lovingly here growing from a shy child, only comfortable in the company of a small few to very confident, engaging in so many activities and embracing the opportunities given to him. The activities he partakes in here are so varied - I don’t know of any other nursery that compares. It’s a fantastic outdoor environment and our boy comes home smiling every day and can't wait for his next nursery day.

Both of my children have been lucky enough to attend Avon Heath. From the first day, I felt comfortable leaving my child. It is an amazing place for them to explore and develop. The staff clearly love what they do, and the involvement of the rangers is great. I could not recommend it more.

I can not praise this place highly enough. My little girl loves it here. The staff are great and the location is beautiful, healthy food is given every day. Yes, kids get messy here, but it's all part of the fun! I would not take her anywhere else.

Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath is a remarkable provision. Nestled in the natural Heathlands, it has nature and wellbeing at its core and my son is thriving. Not only does he have an appreciation for the nature that surrounds him, but educationally, he is developing leaps and bounds. The staff strive every day to promote my son to be his own little person, whilst supporting him to understand the importance of having flexibility to adapt to rules and society. His happiness, conversation, understanding and health are a credit to the committed staff. My 2-year-old son is embracing and enjoying every second of his early experience of education.

The nursery is fantastic! Our daughter has been there for 2 years and has really loved it. The activities on offer are unique, with ranger walks and lots of exploring the country park. When we first looked around I thought if I was a child again this was the type of place I would want to be. The teachers are absolutely brilliant and we feel very lucky to have had the chance to send our daughter to such a special place.
