Woodberry Day Nursery (Peartree) is located on Peartree Avenue, between Bitterne and Woolston.

It is a new, purpose built day nursery with gardens backing onto woodland. Children can access the garden from each of the rooms, enabling them to have free flow in their play.

Children can also use the large scale resources in the garden which include a sinking pirate ship, a mud kitchen, a giant sand pit, barn and tracks and a petrol pump for bikes and trikes.

The nursery offers children a nutritious four-week menu with fresh fruit and vegetables and no added salt or colourings. A high proportion of the produce is organic and all special dietary needs are catered for.

Woodberry Day Nursery (Peartree) has been fantastic with my son. It is our first nursery and we could not praise the team enough. To be kept updated throughout the day has been very reassuring. At pick up and drop off the staff have been very welcoming and it is clear that they have been interacting
a lot with my child.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. My little one started her journey at Woodberry Day Nursery (Peartree) when she was 10 months old and she is now 3. She looks forward to going every day that she is there and she also learns so much! The staff are always so friendly!

Our daughter loves it there. The staff are brilliant with her, they’re always happy and cheery and make her feel very comfortable, especially on the days where she doesn’t want to leave Mummy. They have implemented a plan to deal with Covid, and we feel very safe leaving her there. We would thoroughly

Our son will be leaving for school in September after 3 very happy years at Woodberry. He has been very content there, he is sociable but doesn’t ‘dive right in’ and takes a while to adapt to change but they have been great with that. He has had a variety of keyworkers over the years but I think that
goes with the territory and isn’t a reflection on Woodberry. They have all been lovely. The garden, in particular, is a wonderful space including the barn area where they can still be outside, even in the rain. I have no other nursery to compare Woodberry with, but would definitely recommend it.

My child loves attending nursery. She is very social, plays a lot with children and has strong bonding with the staff. She feels safe there. Staff are flexible and hard working. They accepted washable nappies and our wish to reduce single-use plastic.
I have good experiences with management too, their
communication and helpfulness is great.

My son joined the nursery from March and now he enjoys attending it a lot. He learns quite a lot of skills at the nursery, such as eating by himself, drinking by himself, speaking some English words (we speak Chinese at home). He likes his carers and made friends there. He has become more confident
after joining the nursery. We used to get face-to-face feedback from his carers in March, now we received written feedback every day via Tapestry. We're happy to get to know his day at the nursery and his development. The only thing that we notice is that he may need to be provided with more food. Other than this, the nursery is all perfect.

Myself and my husband are so so impressed with how the nursery have dealt with the covid19 restrictions. Both of our boys, now one and a half and three and a half years old have really enjoyed being back at nursery with their friends and key workers. There have been lots of smiles and stories from the
boys about their exciting days and we as parents have felt the boys are so safe and protected during these strange times. Thank you to all the team at Peartree.

Our little one has recently started at Woodberry, Peartree and we couldn't be happier with them. They provided an excellent settling in and introduction to nursery life, despite it being mid lockdown. They are kind and caring, supportive and approachable. Our little one toddles in every day and comes
out just as happy (but exhausted from all the fun). Their handovers are great and you can ask them all sorts of questions or share any worries about your little one. It's a fantastic nursery with highly skilled staff.

My son has attended Woodberry for over two and a half years. We are sad that it is almost time for him to leave due to starting school. My child starts since he was 1.2 years, and almost is moving to pre-school now. Very happy with the staff, development, speaking the language very well, considering we don't speak English at home. Helped my little one with potty training I thought it would be impossible but they were very supportive
and helpful! They are always trying to take kids outside and explore nature, and different creatures so to say. Lots of equipment to keep children entertained. My little one is always happy to go and never wanted to leave. We are Very happy with the support and development of my child!

Woodberry is fantastic. The setting is lovely and the rooms are always changing to keep the children's minds stimulated. The staff are lovely, and well trained in their field. Also importantly in this day and age, the building is secure and a safe place to leave your child. My son has been in all 3

Excellent care for my son. He loves going to nursery, the staff are brilliant, they really think of imaginative ways to stimulate the children. The food provided is varied and introduces the children to a wide variety of food and healthy eating. I'm very happy with my choice of nursery, the staff listen

Since enrolling my daughter part-time from 7 months to full-time since 9 months, I have been amazed at her progress and how easily she has settled into the under 2 room.
All staff are friendly and clearly think a lot of my daughter.
They are all absolutely brilliant with her and I would not hesitate
in recommending the nursery to anyone.

As the mum of a 3-year-old who attends Woodberry Day Nursery Peartree setting I couldn't be happier with our experiences. I feel my son receives excellent care and attention to further his learning. Following routines of the pre-school room has lead to many advancements of his maths and social skills.
The overall standard of the nursery is excellent; clean, friendly staff, good management and communication of nursery events. I particularly like the monthly newsletter email. I would recommend to friends and when I ask my son what he loves the most he says "The toys and room leaders."
