Westside is an independently owned preschool which parents described as having a 'homely feel'.

Ofsted has rated Westside as being 'good' with areas of 'outstanding' for personal development, behaviour and welfare care (March 2018).

Children have outstanding opportunities to gain impressive levels of respect and understanding of the wider world.

Highly qualified and dedicated staff use ideas both traditional and innovative to help guide children and parents along the path of early education.

Rooms are totally child oriented with no compromise and equipment is of the highest quality and developmentally appropriate.

In December 2018, Westside preschool was awarded 'Millies Mark' in recognition for going above and beyond the minimum requirements in paediatric first aid and through robust processes minimising risks and accidents giving a greater sense of reassurance to parents.

The preschool has a 'safe surface' outside play area and an allotment where children, plant, harvest, prepare and eat the fruit and vegetables they produce.

If your child is funded, or you pay the session fee, then that is all you pay, there are no extra charges for any activities such as cookery, no extra charges for snack, and no extra charges for art or materials, when your child starts they will also receive a free polo shirt with the Westside pre school logo

Westside is easily accessible by foot, car or public transport and has free on-site car parking for parents.

£22 per child per 3 hour session, £44 for a full day 6 hours

Here at Westside we don't believe in extra charges, so once your child is funded, or you've paid your session fees, that is all you will ever pay, no charges for a snack or any activities such as cooking or art

My child has been attending Westside for just over a year and he absolutely loves it.


The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They go all out to support the children they have in their care. The children have a vast selection of activities to take part in both indoors and out. This ensures

they are learning as well as having fun.


I would highly recommend this nursery. The staff are great, engaging and enthusiastic while the children are happy, playing and learning.

My son went to the school holiday club for the first time and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The Manager and her team work extremely hard to maintain a safe and serene atmosphere for the children to play. The nursery has many toys and things to do. I feel the staff don't get praised enough also the
manager should get a rewarding reward for her outstanding in all the work she does.
