Our son absolutely loves going to nursery and always goes in with a smile. The team are extremely attentive, friendly and caring. His language skills have come on leaps and bounds since joining, as have his motor skills. This will be partly just a fact of him getting older but is also down to the encouragement and support provided by the nursery staff.

She absolutely loves nursery and starts clapping and giggling when we pull up for morning drop off.
She always tells us about her day and she even asks to "go to the Forest Room" at the weekends if she's sad.
She's clearly very comfortable with her key person (Katy) as she always asks for her when we're at home.
Our son also stared at HDC in January this year and already has the staff wrapped around his little finger and acts like he owns the place! Cheeky little baby! His confidence has grown massively in a short space of time and he's more than happy to be handed over at the door and even leans and reaches out for whoever lets him in of a morning!
It's also the only two days a week when they both eat everything (and anything) that's put in front of them!

Myself and my husband have always felt that our child is safe at the nursery. The nursery are able to update us regularly on our child's progress.
Whenever we have been to collect our child, the children always appear to be happily playing.
Our child has also been able to form strong friendships with his peers, which means it is a suitable environment in which to do so.

My daughter loves HDC nursery. The staff are so lovely and you can tell they really care about her and are invested in her development. She's genuinely happy to see everyone when we drop her off. Meals always look varied and she does a good range of activities throughout the day. The app is a great tool so that I can see what she gets up to and I love receiving pictures of her all happy and smiling. One piece of feedback would be that some days I don't seem to get as many updates through - meals aren't logged etc. but on the whole, were delighted with the nursery.

I was very worried about sending him off to nursery at 11 months old but he has settled wonderfully. He's now nearly 2 and he loves nursery, has made friends and has an absolutely lovely time every day.
Communication is clear and frequent. The app is regularly updated and we can see what he's been up to throughout the day. We love having photo updates of him and can always see how much fun he's having.
The team take the time to get to know you as a family and nothing is too much trouble.
Day to day activities are varied and age appropriate.
The food provided is brilliant with a great variety of healthy, balanced meals and snacks.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming and provide regular updates, which I love seeing. My son hasn't been going there long, but he settled very quickly and has built great relationships with the staff. Hi! I'm Hannah and I'm the Nursery Manager here at hdc Newton Abbot. I am a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator and have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
I have worked in childcare since leaving school and have always known it is a passion of mine, working with children is a very rewarding job, knowing you have been a part of their journey to developing and thriving to their full potential. At hdc Newton Abbot we strive to have a team full of professionals who also have passion and dedication to all the children and families. We aim to create the home from home feeling and welcome all new children into our family.
