Blackberry House Day Nursery is the leading outstanding nursery provider for children from 0-5 years in Wisbech, March and Peterborough.

They believe that children learn first from their parents and that it is important to carry this through into the nurseries that are staffed by an exceptionally qualified team.

Staff are passionate about providing children with opportunities to expand and develop their learning with the daily structure of sessions. This enables the children to have continuity and structure with their learning and make the most of the extra activities.

Blackberry offers 2-4-year-old nursery funding to coincide with sessions. They have introduced meal bundles which include lunch and dinner to make it easier for parents, and, a before and after school club for all children from 4-7 years.

Along with key learning, the extra activities include KeySports, helping children learn essential sports and fitness skills whilst ensuring they have fun and enjoy themselves.

Staff gives all children the opportunity to enjoy sports whatever their ability. The nursery also has a cookery club, 'little chefs'. This club teaches the children where food comes from and allows them to participate in growing their own produce and making sweet and savoury delights exploring foods from other cultures.

The nursery also encourages the children to get involved without the gardening club and music club. The music club helps the body and mind work together. By exposing the children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words.

The nursery is moving forward into 2020 with new learning ethos forest schools. Forest schools give freedom, space and natural resources for children to plan and promote their own physical development through play.

My son always goes to Blackberries happy, there have never been situations where he cried or didn't want to go, which proves that he feels safe there, all the ladies are very professional and nice. They add a lot of photos and updates to the app, I always have an overview of what and how much he eats.
My son, as a bilingual child, received a lot of support in learning English, which brought very good results.

My son absolutely loves attending this nursery. He has really grown and developed so much while he's been attending Blackberries. All of the staff are amazing, patient with him, and extremely friendly. They always make us feel welcome and keep us updated on his progress, which gives us real peace of
mind. He comes home every day happy, excited, and full of new things he has learned. The activities are creative and well-planned, helping him develop important social and learning skills. I truly appreciate the caring environment they provide. I would highly recommend Blackberries to any parent looking for quality childcare.

I cannot recommend and thank BlackBerry House Day Nursery enough.
My little one has attended since 6 months old and is now in preschool there. He's built wonderful connections and I can see the genuine care from all the staff towards my child.
The nursery's communication with us as parents has been
great. The app allows us to see photos and food logs throughout the day, which as parents is a great reassurance.
The activities he comes home and tells us about all sound varied and educational.
Our favourite thing is that my little one comes home from nursery with stories to tell about his day and all the fun he has had.

Blackberry House Day Nursery is just wonderful, supportive and a fabulous group of ladies. My little boy has come on leaps and bounds from joining at 10 months old, now 2 years old, he's a confident, cheeky little boy. Our most recent challenge of toilet training, I couldn't have asked anymore from
them, they helped me toilet train him in just five days, they were supportive and even followed our sticker reward chart.
Blackberry is just amazing, can't recommend them enough.

The staff at Blackberries Day Nursery in Peterborough are absolutely amazing, the support guidance and learning they give to the children is outstanding. Ever since my child started attending he has thrived and become so confident! He comes out buzzing to talk about his day. He spends so much of his
time outside learning with outdoor play. They have a forest school, music room, IT lessons, yoga sessions and so much more. When you pick up your child the staff are very enthusiastic, talkative and explain what they have done in that day. When we went to visit the nursery I was taken away with all the different areas that your child can learn in but to be honest the nursery has exceeded all of my expectations I can not thank all of the staff at Blackberry House Day Nursery Peterborough enough for being a part of my son's story. I would like to personally thank the manager and staff.

I have been with Blackberry House for coming up to a year nearly, the support I receive is great sometimes it can be tricky finding the right balance to work and find childcare but I can honestly say hand on heart Blackberry really do go above and beyond. You are always greeted with a warm welcome and
I am always thoroughly informed of my daughter's day. I can say that it's a great place to work and I would highly recommend Blackberry to anyone looking at nurseries. The time and investment the staff make is above and beyond and nothing is ever too much trouble. Highly recommended.

This nursery is such a wonderfully equipped and happy place that it's an absolute joy to drop our daughter off and know that she is having an exceptional experience.
She just loves nursery and this is thanks to the quality and care of the staff, the facilities and their way of working. Since moving
our little girl here at 11 months old, she has thrived and has developed so much and I can't thank them enough. We cannot fault this nursery and would recommend it to anyone interested.


It's not the cheapest, but no doubt you absolutely get what you pay for.

My daughter has been coming to the nursery since she was 9-months-old, and she is now 2! She loves it there and is learning loads! She’s never cried once and is always so excited to go. I would like to think the staff are doing a wonderful job! They also seem friendly, and I love the way they interact
with my daughter when I drop her off every morning. My only issue is how fast the staff turnover is. There are new faces every month, and it's so hard to keep up. I have no idea who is who anymore as the staff just seems to quit quite quickly. I hope they work on retaining their lovely staff because it’s a little concerning.

Our son has been attending Blackberries Peterborough since January 2021. He has absolutely flourished since starting, and he always comes out with a huge smile on his face. All of the staff, past and present, have always made time to talk to my husband and I when collecting our son, even during the
tough Covid periods.
The staff are always helpful, informative and friendly, and we couldn't ask for better people to help us with teaching our son valuable life skills.
The whole team at Peterborough are wonderful, but we'd like to give a special shout out to two ladies who are always so wonderful and supportive of us as first-time parents and fantastic with our son. Our son is so excited to see them on the days that he attends, and we feel that we have a good relationship with them.

My son is very happy at preschool - he’s settled in so well and looks forward to going each morning. The staff are very friendly and thorough. The activities are always varied and I love the fact that the children have lots of outside play.
I don't like the fact that you can’t check in on your children via an app as you can at every other nursery in the area, a little disappointing.
They have a high staff turnover which can be unsettling
but they are always friendly and helpful.

My son is very happy at the nursery. He always talks about the staff and is very happy to go in every morning. He loves the outdoors and gets excited to go exploring every day.
Whenever I have picked him up he always comes home happy and says he's enjoyed his day when asked.

I wouldn’t give them any stars if I could.
I withdrew my daughter after nine full days despite paying for the entire month.
I do not recommend this nursery at all, they couldn’t even put my daughter's nappy on the correct way round.

The nursery practitioners have generally been very helpful and managed to put my mind at ease when I had any concerns about my child settling in. I was told to call as many times as I wanted to check he was ok, which I did and I didn't feel I was being annoying.
Each day at drop off we are welcomed
with a "good morning" and a smile.
My son's all round development has greatly improved since starting at Blackberry House Day Nursery. He has made friends and recognises numbers, days of the week and letters.
I pay for my son's meals whilst at nursery and he now eats vegetables! Most of the time.
The only areas I feel could be improved are the waiting times on some days to collect or drop off my son. Although, this may be due to Covid.
Also, I asked for more information on what my son is doing and eating which is reported to me on a piece on paper. I feel this is needs to be on an app as other nurseries do this as is more convenient.

Personally, for me, Blackberries have been fantastic and have done an incredible job since my daughter joined when she was 18 months. After the start of this pandemic, I was petrified to put her back in when it came to June last year but the staff have been nothing short of amazing, extremely supportive
and reassuring. Each and everyone is doing a fantastic job in providing care for our little ones in such unprecedented times. My daughter is 4 next month and has come on leaps and bounds because of the staff at Blackberries, supporting her progression. Thank you all.
