Longstanton Pre-school

I couldn’t recommend this lovely little fun-loving pre-school enough.

The staff are amazing and my son just loves to go to preschool. As we've had not as good as experience before it was a bit scary for us to change but it's been the best decision ever!

The staff meet and greet all the parents and children in the mornings and afternoon and also always inform you what they've done and if it's been a good day.

The current staff team is excellent - it's clear that they care a lot about the children and about providing a fun and engaging learning environment. Communication is very good and the Family updates are highly appreciated. The setting used to come across as somewhat disorganised and with a lack of clear routine but in the last couple of years has notably improved in all respects. Our child is always happy to go and is forming a strong bond with the staff and other children.

Our daughter has really flourished since starting pre school. She enjoys going and has made friends. Her confidence has grown. The staff are caring and creative in the activities they plan with the children. The children get to celebrate different festivals and learn about different cultures which we really value. It’s a great first step towards being ready for school.

I feel his learning is supported really well and done in a way that is fun (as it should be).

This is a great preschool with fantastic staff. My daughter went there for two years before starting school and now my son has just started. The staff always go above and beyond such as dealing with anxiety, sleep problems, speech delay, toilet training, etc. but most importantly ensuring the children have a fun session each time they are there. My children both may have been shy about going in each day but I know that they are being well looked after. It is lovely to see the smiles on their faces when picking them up and hearing about the fun things they have done.

Amazing preschool, my son loves it here and has built a great relationship with the staff; they are all friendly and approachable if I need them. My daughter is about to start and my son already attends, so I have no doubt she will love every minute of it. My son always comes out smiling and tells me how much he’s done! They are an amazing team.

My two children absolutely love attending preschool, really good communication between myself and staff members. All members of staff are friendly, and they make you feel welcomed when you drop your child/children off to preschool.

We love sending our little one here and she loves to go. She has settled in really well and made lots of friends. The staff are friendly, kind, responsive and professional and always open and happy to hear from us if we have any particular worries. The range of activities is fantastic and updated regularly and the links with the school are great.

Both my daughters attended the preschool. One still attends and the other goes to the before and after school clubs. They both have great fun and it’s hard trying to make them leave at the end of the day. The staff are great, friendly, approachable and always let you know the type of day your child has had. The room has plenty of different activities throughout the day and the children are involved in tidy up time.

Our daughter attends breakfast club and after school club every day for the last two years so far. She really enjoys it and loves interacting with the staff and children of all ages. The staff are excellent and are always helpful, accommodating and always greet us with a smile. Being linked to the school makes it easy for transfers from and from school. Would highly recommend.

My son uses the after school club and loves it, there are always lots of activities and chances of free play. My son has special needs and quite often likes to spend time alone in the quiet, this is always made possible, so he is happy when with the others and when he is alone. Lovely setting, fantastic staff.

The Pre-School provides a safe, fun, loving and caring environment, which nurtures the development of your people. I feel that my son has learnt a great deal whilst at the pre-school, both about himself, others and the world around him, in a structured and educational way, which promotes growth, learning and development. The staff interact with my Son amazingly and he always talks about his day and what he has been up to, with many good memories being made.

I would highly recommend the school!

The only suggestion is about improving cleanliness, especially for the kids in the afterschool.

The setting maintains a very open relationship with parents which we have found very helpful.

My twin boys attend this nursery as part of the mainstream school's breakfast club and after-school club. The care and support from the staff has been excellent. Both boys have special needs and can be very challenging. The staff have managed them fantastically. I have always felt 100% confident leaving my children in their care. The level of understanding and experience of the staff is very high and they are extremely proactive and enthusiastic with ideas on how to manage different challenges that arise from the boys. The support is consistent and inclusive and there is a very high standard of communication, both discussing with me about any issues face to face and through an app. I'm really impressed with their safeguarding measures and extremely grateful for their support and genuine care they show for my children - I cannot thank them enough for all they do.

The new manager is great.

My daughter loves going to Breakfast and Afterschool club so much and looks forward to the days she attends! Well done to you all on providing such a fantastic service!
