Kids Allowed is a really friendly, family run place. They are always very welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are good, very clean, and the food provided is excellent. Very secure and value for money is really good.

My son has attended since being less than a year old, he is now 4. The standard of care is exceptional. The staff are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and all activities are age-appropriate and relevant and all help my son gain new skills and broaden his learning abilities. My son was referred to the
SEN department and an action plan was made to meet his needs individually and the support we have had as a family has helped a great deal for managing his problems areas. So thankful for a truly fantastic team.
Reply from Claire Hall at Kids Planet StockportThank you Kirsten for the lovely feedback. It's so rewarding knowing that you feel this way about Kids Allowed. We love getting the children prepared for their next milestones and school is going to be an exciting time. Thank you.

We have sent our second child to Kids Allowed, having had an excellent experience with the first, even though it means travelling a little further.
Staff are fantastic, always very polite and enthusiastic and seem to form genuine bonds with all the children.
The children are kept busy from start
to finish and all activities carefully age appropriate.
The food is varied and of an excellent standard.
The children play outside as much as possible in safe environments with lots of toys to go round.
The children seem to interact very well with each and form early friendships.
Feedback is very detailed and staff always have time to discuss the day or your child more generally.
Price is on the high side.
Reply from Claire Hall at Kids Planet StockportThank you for the kind feedback Ben. I’m so glad your experience the second time is as good as the first.

Exceptional child care. A consistently high standard of care. Staff have a caring, nurturing approach and are receptive to children's individual needs. Children are engaged in exciting, stimulating activities each day, the staff team have a fabulous energy and an enthusiastic approach.
Feedback is
excellent, parents are made to feel a part of their children's nursery lives.
Flexible approach if working shift patterns or self-employed - KA allows swaps, extra sessions. This has provided me with the flexibility to set up my own business whilst my child has attended this centre.
I am very particular about who I leave my children with, yet have parted from them each day, knowing that they were in safe hands.
I have a 7-year gap between my children and can honestly say that the high quality of care has remained the same as this company has expanded.
It's an 'outstanding' from me!
Reply from Claire Hall at Kids Planet StockportThis is a lovely review thank you, we wish her good luck at school and hope she stays in touch with all her KA friends.

My daughter has attended Kids Allowed since she was one. We were a little nervous about leaving her initially as she was born at 26 weeks and was very poorly when she was a baby. So we were a little more protective than you normally would be when your child starts nursery and she was full-time Monday
to Friday. From day one, the nursery and all the staff have been amazing. I can honestly say she has loved the time spent there and has developed great bonds with all her key workers. The facilities are excellent and the people are so dedicated to ensuring the children are happy, that there hasn’t been a day where she hasn’t been happy. My daughter is now four and a half and starts school in September. Thank you everyone at Kids Allowed - you are an amazing company and all your staff are a credit to your business. Thank you for looking after our baby girl (big girl now!).
Reply from Claire Hall at Kids Planet StockportThank you so much for your lovely comment Kerry. We wish her good luck at school and thank you for sending us the photos of her in her uniform, absolutely adorable.

I could not fault any part of our experience with Kids Allowed. Our baby has grown into such a wonderful and smart little girl and much of the credit is owed to the staff. She has formed such wonderful relationships with both the staff and the children and has had values and confidence instilled in
her that will last a lifetime. Thank you so much for your hard work. She is more than ready for the next exciting chapter of her life and I’m both saddened and excited to see her leaving such a fabulous environment.
Reply from Claire Hall at Kids Planet StockportThank you, Natalie, it is lovely to read your review. We hope she settles into school and continues to be the social butterfly we know she is.

The nursery has been very supportive in helping my son with personal care such as teeth brushing and feeding himself. They also help with toilet training when this is needed. The outdoor space is used very well. I just wish it wasn't on the main road with all the traffic fumes. The staff are second
to none!

Our daughter has been at Kids Allowed Stockport for nearly four years and the experience has been exceptional. Focused learning at an early age was very important to us and Kids Allowed Stockport has enabled our daughter to learn in a friendly, informative and fun way while developing a kind, inquisitive
and happy personality. The opportunity to go on regular trips to museums, safari parks, and other fun places has led to many detailed conversations at home with lots of questions. The key to the Kids Allowed Stockport experience is the people who work there...enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational are only three of the words which describe the people who have played such a significant role in our daughter's Kids Allowed journey over recent years ... 10 out of 10.

Kids Allowed Stockport is an outstanding childcare provider. My son absolutely loves it and looks forward to going every day. The range of activities on offer is exceptional and I am extremely happy that he is there. I work full time and to know how settled he is really helps. The staff work with you
to address any behavioural issues that arise; a common approach ensures the child has clear boundaries and developmental progress is rapid. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.

My daughter is in prep school, she loves it. I love it, the staff are amazing, activities are fab, very varied and promote lots of learning through play and my daughter loves the teaching time with their qualified teacher.
The food is delicious, all prepared in house by the qualified chef.
My daughter
is school ready now, writing her name, she knows her phonics and is fab with her numbers.
She is leaving prep school in September but I have already signed her up for before/after school club and holiday club.

Having read reviews, I was very happy with our choice of nursery. However, we do not feel that reality lived up to the reviews. We were disappointed with the activities on offer, and the tracking we received when my son left showed that the staff did not seem to know him at all. His key worker in pre-school
was rarely there, meaning he was passed from adult to adult which did not help him to settle. He was inconsolable every time he was dropped off, even after 18 months.
One of the deciding factors for us in choosing this nursery was the fact that they took the children out on trips and visits. Our son went on 2 trips in 18 months which we were told was because they did not have a mini bus driver. However, we often saw other children out on walking trips or on the 'walking bus'.
I was also left fuming when, although we stated on his registration form that no photos were to be used on any online platform, on three occasions my son's photo was on their Facebook page.

My daughter left KA at the end of August 2016 to start school, and she had been at the nursery 2.5 years prior to her leaving. She could not have had a better start. She is thouroughly prepared for school and that is hugely associated with her experience at KA. The faciity is fantastic and exceeded
my expectations, and I could not recommend it highly enough. The team have all been wonderful and my daughter has come on leaps and bounds.

My son is 9 years old so was in the after school club. Unfortunately he wasn't enjoying it so I had to cancel the service. We could also no longer justify the cost if he wasn't having fun. I think due to his age, there wasn't much for him to do, a lot of the things provided were for littler children.
He also was not keen on the food!
I think there's healthy and too healthy! The staff were pleasant and kind enough though which is important. I would recommend it for younger children but definitely not for 8-11 year old's. I think the juniors need to be separated from the infants as putting 5 year old's with 9 and 10 year old's is going to be impossible to please them all.
Reply from Jennie Johnson at Kids Planet StockportI'm sorry to hear your son didn't enjoy afterschool club. You are right, at the moment the majority of the children using the after school club are younger. Probably because we are quite new. As these children grow up with us, there will be a healthy sized older group as well. But until that happens, your feedback is fair.

In the two and a half years my daughter has attended Kids Allowed she has changed from being a toddler to being a child ready for the challenges of primary school.

Throughout her time – Toddlers, Pre-School and Prep-school – we have been impressed by the level of dedication and care of all Kids Allowed

staff she has interacted with. It is a safe, stimulating and school-like environment, one which is friendly, playful, noisy, messy and most of all fun.

Staff turnover appears to be very low and she still sees many of the members of staff that looked after her two years ago, giving a level of stability that is very rare. My wife and I have trusted Kids Allowed to keep her safe and to help her become the bright, curious and confident 4-year-old we see before us; it is absolutely one of the best decisions, we as parents have made.

I cannot give a stronger recommendation of their 5-star, Ofsted outstanding services than that. Thank you Kids Allowed for helping to bring up our daughter!

Really impressed with this nursery and feel reassured on the mornings I drop my little girl off. The staff are great, work very much in partnership with parents, treat each child as an individual and clearly care for and like what they do. The food and activities are varied and exciting for whatever
the child's preferences may be. The one downside is that parking can, at times (peak times) be a bit tricky, but a very small negative for otherwise all positives.

The nursery is such a friendly happy place for the children. The staff make the parents feel at ease and you know the children will be cared for and looked after. The nursery does so many activities and they take the kids out on trips all the time. I couldn't be more happier with the staff or the nursery

My son started KA in the Woddlers room and has now moved up to Toddlers. I couldn't be more happy with the staff, planned activities, and organisation. I had concerns re: my older sons nursery/preschool when he was there which never really seemed to be addressed. KA has ticked all of the boxes for
me, and I feel that not only are they there for the kids but the parents too.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.901)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.901) out of 10 for Kids Planet Stockport is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 61 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.901 for Kids Planet Stockport is calculated as follows: ( (660 Excellents x 5) + (62 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 727 Ratings = 4.901
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kids Planet Stockport is based on 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 197 number of registered child places is 39.4, which has been reached with 61 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
