Absolutely love this nursery. They are genuinely, my little boy's, second family and I'm so grateful for the love and care they have given him over the years. I was able to go back to work last year, feeling so at ease, knowing they had his best interest at heart and that was priceless. So, thank you,
to all the amazing staff!

My daughter attends Busy Bees every afternoon using her 15 hours a week funding from the government. My daughter settled in right away when she started and loves her afternoons. It is a happy, safe and caring environment and I fully trust the staff. The food is healthy and tasty, and she gets fed twice
in the afternoon! I have been really impressed by the attentiveness of the staff and although the manager has not been there long, she is doing a fantastic job of keeping high standards throughout yet maintaining a friendly, personal atmosphere in the nursery. I would highly recommend this nursery.

The building and facilities are brand new. The staff is very friendly. Our son is very happy to go there. The toddlers are doing outdoor activities. We are missing some photos of the activities carried out, but this is about to change with the implementation of a new app to allow the staff to share
pictures with the parents. We recommend the nursery.

My son started in Busy Bees North Chiswick in January 2020, the nursery is run by a professional team who understand the importance of building a strong relationship between me and my son. They have paid special attention to my requirements and met my child’s needs. The nursery is warm and welcoming
and are full of loving and caring staff, they have plenty of room of my son too develop and learn, they provide well-balanced meals. This is an all-round lovely nursery 5 stars from me and my son, would highly recommend to anyone who is looking too put their child in a nursery I’m a very happy mummy.

My son has been attending the nursery since September 2018 and he has become the happiest and most confident boy. The staff is very caring, attentive to the children's individual needs, they plan fun and engaging activities every day, are so welcoming in the morning and evening. He has brought home
some beautiful paintings. The nursery has also been just refurbished and includes brand-new Montessori toys and design which is ideal for children's development. I love that nursery, my son feels safe there and am so glad he is attending it. Plus it's far from a high street so it's much less polluted than any nursery in West London which is the number one reason to send your baby there!

My son started attending the Montessori by Busy Bees at North Chiswick Nursery in Oct-18. Despite the complaints of some other parents and staff turnover earlier this year, my son has always been very happy to attend. He always felt safe, looked after and developed very quickly into a young and fun
19-month old boy. I have to say that over the past 6 months, staff and management have made a lot of efforts to get the nursery and even more fun and welcoming place with a beautiful refurbishment and further entertainment and development initiatives. The staff is very caring and loving and they are truly dedicated to make the nursery a fantastic place for the kids. The garden lacks green but there are a couple of nice local parks around that the kids and staff attend from time to time. Very happy happy kid and very happy dad!

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery and this is down to the hard work, dedication and kindness of the staff and current management. My daughter feels secure and nurtured in her environment and she is stimulated by fantastic resources and engaging activities. My daughter's key worker ensures
that she is being challenged in a class where she is one of the oldest by doing literacy, numeracy and spoken language tasks with her every day. Communication between staff and parent has improved greatly and I feel that I am able to get a picture of everything the nursery is doing with my child and the measures they have put in place to ensure the development of the children.

Both my daughters have attended this nursery, and despite the complaints that many of the other parents raised, have always been very happy in the nursery, exceptionally well looked after, and nourished. My older one is in school now, while her little sister remains in the nursery, looking forward to
attending every morning. They are both thriving, and the caring and competent staff have surely contributed to that.
There have indeed been issues with rapidly changing management over a period around 2016-18, which unfortunately have also led to many changes in the staffing, but the effects on the children have been minimal. It is a reality that there are large fluctuations in teaching staff at nurseries, almost everywhere in London. I am very happy, though, that some of the teachers that had been looking after my older daughter since 2014 are still around and very happy to see her when she comes to pick up her sister with us. I would definitely recommend the nursery.

My daughter attended this nursery, and I can say that to begin with things weren't great, but the nursery has made lots of improvements. The nursery is looking a lot better due to refurbishment and new resources. The communication has improved immensely. The only negative for me, and it's very minor,
is the garden is small but the children do go out and staff make the most of it. Management are helpful and friendly, and really show the vision for the nursery. My daughter left for school in August, I hope they continue to make progress. I would recommend.

My baby girl started this nursery on 23/09/19 and since then I have seen so much hard work from the baby room staff and all the management, in helping her to settle and feel at home.
We are very happy with everyone. When I leave her in the morning, she always gives a big smile to all the teachers and
makes me leave happy to go to work.
I would recommend this nursery that in the last six months has changed so much! (New toys, new furniture, an app for the parent to check development and activities for your baby/child, healthy foods, improvement for the new EYFS update). Well done to everyone and thanks!

I am very satisfied with the staff in the baby room. We have very good communication - getting daily reports. I believe everyone is trying very hard to bring the nursery back to the best after changes in the management. For me, the most important thing is that my baby is happy and is enjoying every

Do not even entertain this nursery, the nursery staff are trying their best, it's the leadership letting them down. It's unprofessional to the point that the person on reception (not the admin lady but part of the management team) letting in parents in the morning was on a personal call on her mobile
swearing away. This is a nursery with young children around. The staff have all been leaving hence there is no staff and the staff that is there are run to the floor. Feedback about my child is poor and at times I have no idea what my child has even eaten. I am looking for a new nursery to send my child to as this nursery is so poor. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Please avoid this nursery. First of all, it wasn’t welcoming when my child started as they did not even prepare her individual peg with her photo. After many promises from the nursery practitioners, we decided to print out her photo at home and we stuck it on the wall above her peg as she was quite
upset about it and did not feel very welcomed. Small thing though but means a lot for a little child.
The nursery very unreliable and your child will feel very insecure as the staff and managers turnover is extremely high.
There is no CCTV in the rooms what I found strange nowadays in a nursery for security reasons and the feedbacks/observations of your child’s development is very poor. Staff are nice though but quite unprofessional as I would have expected more communication from them. Staff do not put enough effort on EYFS and found their “teaching” approach quite poor, below standards.
Also, it’s a nightmare to receive the deposit back once your child starts school and leaves the nursery.

Unfriendly, careless, unorganised, confused and unprofessional management members (not teachers). My child finished nursery and they did not prepare her folder and file to leave. She left nursery empty-handed. Two months later I asked them to give me her belongings and if she has any work done and folder.
I was told within a week we will ready her folder and call you to come and collect it but after waiting another two months I popped in and asked them. I was told again wait a few days because they didn’t remember to make her works ready.
She had never had a parents evening or a review in the one year she was attending the nursery. She never built up her confidence as they were maybe not more focused to make her improve.
I had recommended this nursery to so many families & friends since it was opened (whilst my oldest child was going to this nursery) until 2016-2017 but unfortunately after 2017 this nursery changed massively. I am extremely disappointed and will never recommend this nursery to anyone.

Thanks to the hard-working staff and excellent management we have seen our child becoming an extremely happy, well developed and educated individual who has been attending the nursery with great pleasure from day 1. Committed teachers and attentive management have been very accommodating both to our
child and us as parents, showing excellent customer service while fulfilling the purpose of a high-quality pre-school establishment to mention are also fantastic facilities) purpose built nursery and spacious garden), healthy kitchen and various extracurricular activities with no hesitation, it is our great pleasure to highly recommend this facility.

I had both my children placed in this nursery over the last 3 years, my eldest left last year to go into a new pre-school whilst my youngest remained at the nursery.
During this time I can easily say the standards have become increasingly worrying, especially around the safeguarding of the children.
It seems the newer staff members are not providing the same level of care and have a blatant disregard to the nursery policies.
This is evident in the fact Mace Montessori Chiswick has been downgraded in their latest Ofsted report (March 2017) from Good to Requires Improvement.

This has prompted me to remove my youngest child immediately and take time off work while I am looking for a new nursery.
Other parents at the nursery are doing the same.

I do feel saddened by the sudden downturn and decline of this nursery as it used to be such a pleasant environment for my little ones to attend.

Teachers are great, kind, caring and they have the children's best interests at heart. The children are learning and are happy but there is a high staff/teacher turnover and we felt that our son lacked stability as his teachers were constantly changing. I have no doubt that the children are cared for,
but management needs improving! We were there from October 2015 - February 2017 and we saw a huge decline in facilities/services in the time we were there.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.922)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.922) out of 10 for Montessori by Busy Bees North Chiswick is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.904 for Montessori by Busy Bees North Chiswick is calculated as follows: ( (75 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.904
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.018 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Montessori by Busy Bees North Chiswick is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 110 number of registered child places is 22. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 22 = 0.318
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2018

Hello, my name is Siobhian and I have been working in childcare for nearly 10 years working my way up from an unqualified practitioner to now a Centre Director. I started my Busy Bees journey in 2018 as a room manager for the baby room and then the toddler room and in 2019 I became an Assistant Centre director and held that post for 4 years.

I am very child-centred and believe every child is an individual and it is our job as educators to help their personalities, thrive by offering a vast range of experiences and enabling environments throughout their journey at the centres with us. I am very passionate about developing children's emotional literacy and think one of the most important things we can teach children is to identify and manage their feelings and expectations.

I like supporting my staff to understand how to deliver exceptional childcare daily and giving each child the best start in life by reminding everyone that you are never too old to learn something new or refresh what you already know. I also believe that parent partnerships form a key part of ensuring children thrive and develop.
