The Mulberry Bush Locks Heath, the original Mulberry Bush nursery, has been part of the community since 2013. It is a place where little minds grow big, and where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to explore. Following expansions in 2016 and 2020, the nursery now offers even more thoughtfully designed spaces created especially for curious, imaginative learners.

From cosy nooks for the youngest adventurers to bright, spacious rooms for exploring toddlers and confident pre-schoolers, every area of the nursery is designed to support discovery and development. Each age group benefits from its own custom sensory room, filled with carefully selected resources that spark imagination, stimulate growing minds, and offer opportunities for both playful exploration and calming moments.

The outdoor environments at Locks Heath are equally special. The garden provides children with space to connect with nature, move freely, and let their imaginations run wild. With two dedicated baby gardens, one featuring a covered sand play area and the other offering a shaded front garden, children have ample space to run, climb, dig, build, and enjoy hands-on learning safely in smaller groups.

What truly sets Locks Heath apart is the wonderful sense of community that surrounds it. Families and children build lasting friendships and form meaningful connections with the caring staff team and the wider local community. Whether welcoming returning siblings or meeting new families for the first time, the nursery nurtures a strong sense of belonging where every child feels secure, valued, and empowered to thrive in every area of their lives.

Firstly I absolutely love the nursery both of my children have attended. With my youngest still in Raspberries soon to move up to elderberries. The staff are all so lovely, very supportive through all stages. The management team are so approachable and the carers as so lovely too. The resources they
supply are great. The food looks delicious and such a variety all the time. I would recommend the nursery to all friends and family.

We have found the Mulberry Bush to be an excellent setting for our daughter. We have complete trust that she is well looked after and that her days here are filled with interaction, fun and learning. On top of that, the food provided is of excellent quality and the overall facilities and atmosphere
etc, are great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery and intend on bringing our second child here.

An excellent nursery. They have looked after our daughter brilliantly over the last 4 years. We would recommend the nursery without hesitation. Our daughter is cared for very well by all the staff and the setting has a real ‘community/family’ feel.
