The Review Score of 8.8 (maximum of 10) for Banana Moon Day Nursery Baddesley Ensor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 14 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Banana Moon Day Nursery Baddesley Ensor in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.792 for Banana Moon Day Nursery Baddesley Ensor is calculated as follows: ( (134 Excellents x 5) + (33 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 168 Ratings = 4.792

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.969 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Banana Moon Day Nursery Baddesley Ensor is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.5

    2. Target of 6.4 positive Reviews (32 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 3 Reviews ÷ 6.4 Target = 0.469

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. The staff are lovely and my son loves going. Couldn't fault the nursery in any way! They provide 7.30am starts which help a lot for working parents. All food is healthy (and tasty) and home made and good quality meals.

Thanks for your lovely comments. Your son is a joy to have.
As a team, we work hard to provide a loving and homely environment so your comments mean a lot to us.
Thanks again.

I have been so pleased with the nursery, my daughter has settled in so well. During the first few weeks when she was upset when I left she was comforted and looked after so well, which made me feel much better knowing she was being cared for as I would if she was upset.
She goes in now without even looking back at me and really looks forward to attending.
The staff are lovely and the food is excellent.
Thank you so much.

Thanks for your kind comments. So glad that your daughter settled in well and has built some strong relationships with the team .... we work hard on the recruitment of the right people and it's great when parents recognise them. Thanks again!

my daughter started at Banana Moon in September 2016 aged 9 months. She settled in so well and quickly, and I feel the nursery has really helped her. Her speech has come along leaps and bounds and she now loves going and waves me goodbye when I drop her off. She eats good healthy meals which she loves and has made little friends there that she enjoys seeing every day. The staff are all lovely and always acknowledge her by name every morning which I love that they all know who she is. Very clean and well kept, all the children are friendly and welcoming- a reflection on the nursery. My daughter always brings home paintings she has made, which is lovely too and is often outside playing with other children which she loves. I would 100% recommend this nursery to any parents, I feel at ease dropping my daughter off here, and believe she is very well cared for. Brilliant nursery and will keep her there until school age. Would take any other children I may have to this nursery too. Love it!

So pleased that you are happy with the care provided. Thanks for your lovely comments.

Our son has attended Banana Moon for the last eight months. The settling in process was great and really helped him feel confident within the setting. We know he is well looked after and also challenged on a daily basis. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and our son runs to give them cuddles when we arrive. He has made good progress since he started and loves his time at Banana Moon.

Banana Moon offers excellent childcare within a cosy setting. Our son has attended since he was 11 months old and has flourished. Our son's knowledge amazed us and we attribute this to the learning at Banana Moon. The staff are excellent and they forge great relationships with the children.

Thanks for your comments.... we have really enjoyed having your daughter and it's great to know that you are happy with her care .

I have recommended the nursery to many of my friends.
I am so pleased with my daughters progress, and she thoroughly enjoys going. The key worker system is brilliant and my daughter has had a lovely relationship with both key workers she has had. The whole staff team are so caring and friendly and I can see they are all committed to their job.
The hand over is great, and I always have a clear picture of what my daughter has been up to. I am also made to feel so involved in choosing what she will work towards next.
We always attend the stay and play events, and really enjoy these.
My daughter has so many friends, the nursery is so welcoming. The facilities are great too.
I love the paperwork that they send home, but I have heard about an IT version from a friend at another nursery. This sounds much more interactive, both nursery staff and parents write about activities or add photos to the App. I think Banana Moon could consider using such a system.

My daughter has absolutely thrived at Banana Moon. She really enjoys going and has a fantastic relationship with her key worker. As a parent you are kept fully informed about what your child has done each day and you have the opportunity to speak to your child's key worker at a parents evening to discuss their development.

Thanks Natalie for your feedback! The team at Baddesley Ensor will love hearing the feedback so thank you for taking the time to review.

My little boy had previously been at an "outstanding" by Ofsted Child Minder I wondered how he would settle at Banana Moon. It was almost immediately apparent the care attention support and love he received from the staff at Banana Moon was way above the previous Child Minders standards. We have been over joyed with his progression since joining back in January 2013 and look forward to enrolling our new addition.

My husband and I decided to venture into the world of Early Years in 2011 / 2012 and set about looking for a company who could support us in this venture.
We came across Banana Moon and after a visit to Head Office in Warwick we started looking for premises in and around the local area.

We found our setting and having exchanged contracts with the council in Dec 2012 we opened the doors to Banana Moon Baddesley Ensor in April 2013.

Being involved in Early Years has been a great experience for us and personally, having previously worked as a Senior HR Manager for many blue chip companies, it is pretty far removed from the corporate world to which I was accustomed.

As we are not involved in the business on a day to day basis and do not work within the settings we are very lucky to have a knowledgeable team around us.

Our Nursery Manager Charlotte has been with us since 2013 and is always challenging us in terms of practice and the way we do things as a nursery.
And our Deputy Manager is also a long serving employee who has watched the business grow and go through many subtle changes to get it right!

My daughter attended our Baddesley Ensor setting from 2013 - 2015 so we are obviously keen to ensure that standards are kept high and that practice is spot on!

Its also hugely important to us that we employ appropriately and it can be a fine balancing act employing the best people.... 'fit' is just as important as qualifications and as that person will be part of a small team, maybe its even more important.

Above all, we strongly support development for all of our teams, training is ongoing with meetings held monthly and a quarterly training session for all employees.

However, all of this development and support does mean that these employees will eventually move on to succeed in their careers which can be hard for both the parents and children.
Like I said..... it's a fine balancing act!!
