Spring Nursery Kinloss provides high quality early learning and childcare experiences for babies and young children from 4 months to 5 years.

The team work closely with families to support children in reaching their full potential. The nursery is open all year round from 7.30 - 6.00, Monday to Friday, offering Early Learning and Childcare to all families in Moray. It provides both day care and government funded spaces offering 1140 hours (up to 30 hours per week) for three and four year olds and eligible 2 year olds.

The nursery is set in a large, purpose-built centre which includes bright, well-resourced rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. It is registered to care for up to 100 children. There is also an enclosed garden area that allows all children to explore, investigate and extend their learning. The manager is qualified with BA Childhood Practice and all staff are qualified practitioners, or working towards their qualification, and are all registered with the SSSC. Spring Kinloss is a partner provider in delivering government funded places through Moray Council, and works closely with the Local Authority.

The nursery is inspected by the Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland; the last inspection in June 2021 by the Care Inspectorate who awarded a 5 - very good. It was one of the pilot nurseries to deliver extended 30 hour funded places and has continued to do so.

What a truly brilliant place to send your kids. Both my kids have been/are still at Spring Kinloss, and I couldn't recommend it more. The staff are so genuine, caring and fun that the kids really enjoy spending time there. The setting is super with loads of space indoors, brilliant resources and access
to safe green space outside. The menu is top quality, varied and substantial, and I know the kids are getting balanced and nutritious fare throughout the day (they eat better than I do!) Communication is the real gem here, in that through the app you can see exactly what your little one is up to including sleep, what they've eaten and what they are doing throughout the day. I especially love the individual observations on kids. Staff have been so accommodating to changes in work schedules, and I know they are always there to support us. Throughout Covid, they've worked tirelessly to maintain "normality" for the kids too. Brilliant place with brilliant staff. Can't recommend highly enough.

My little one loves going to this nursery.
He flourished after one week. Started off in the 2-3 room and loves the teachers, they are so caring and put a lot of effort into the children.
My little one always gets picked up with a smile on his face. They always try to get outside, and it's so safe
where they are.
They are so easy to talk to, and if any problems, they help in every way they can to put your mind at ease. They have worked tirelessly to put the children's needs first in such a horrible climate the last year.
Highly recommend Spring.

My son (age 3) attends Spring Kinloss and has had a brilliant experience. They have really helped him settle in super well. We had a setback with my son when his daddy was working away, and they pulled out all the stops to help him settle in again. They keep me posted and up to date with his daily activities,
which is a fab touch to allow to you feel you are still involved with your child's day.

Our little girl continues to grow in confidence and amazes us with how much she is learning academically at nursery. It is great to see photos on a daily/weekly basis of the activities she participates in. Our daughter loves to share with us what she has achieved. It is also lovely when she receives
a sticker to commend her when she’s done well in something. We are so happy with the way the staff care for our daughter and the communication they have with us.

Both my children currently attend the 3-5 room. My son has been there for almost 2-years now, and my daughter has attended the baby room, the 2-3 room and now the 3-5 room. They both have absolutely loved their time at the nursery, and we have loved the staff in every single room. They have gone above
and beyond when needed for my daughter's eating habits and my son being very accident prone they have handled every single incident beautifully, and I can't thank them enough for it. I'll be sad when our time at the nursery is over!

My son (21-months) has had a brilliant experience at Spring. He has been there for around 9-months and now runs into the nursery gleefully every morning. At home, he is often talking about the staff and other children in the baby room. I really like the variety of activities they do from painting, to
dancing, to taking walks as a group, to different themed activities and seasonal things like planting seeds. The nursery always gives us updates and photos of what he has been up to and are very responsive to any questions. They've also been brilliant at providing a vegetarian meal. Great nursery with kind and considerate staff, who have helped my son settle and feel very comfortable there.

Both my children attend Spring, and I feel confident with the level of care provided. There is a lot of experience within the team, and both room leaders are a credit to the success of the nursery - extremely friendly, honest and professional.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the 2-3 staff for helping my little girl grow into such a confident young girl. She was so scared to leave me and you both welcomed her each morning to the point she was running in to see you and getting excited about going to see her “ladies”.
She’s grown
so much confidence and personality and she’s loved her time with the 2-3’s staff and children. I’ve loved seeing photos of her so happy each day she’s been there. The bits that I don’t get to see, so the updates are always lovely.
We will miss the 2-3 room so much, but we’re looking forward to joining the 3-5 room next term which is all new and exciting going to the “big room”.


Thank you to all the staff at Spring Kinloss for working so hard through 2020 and making sure each child is safe and happy.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and well-deserved break.

My little boy started in September and he absolutely loves it. The staff are very friendly and encouraging. The activities for children are great and build their social skills as well as provide learning. Great communication with parents via an app where all information is provided about how the day

My son has just started going to the nursery full time and he loves going in. The nursery staff are very friendly and welcoming to him. My son has difficulty speaking but this has not been a problem as the nursery staff have found ways to help him to communicate his feelings and needs to them. He loves
his time at nursery and the freshly cooked meals and variety are amazing.

One of the best nurseries I have ever used for my children. The staff are extremely helpful and are excellent with the kids.
There is a wide range of options for the children to play with and heaps of outdoor time. Since my daughter has started here I have seen a huge change in her, she has grown
in confidence and is always so excited to spend another day at nursery.

My daughter and son love going to Spring Kinloss, the staff are amazing and I appreciate how they always smile and let me know how the kids got on during the day. Staff are always willing to help with any queries as well. My son is fussy with food but surprisingly he eats most of the foods served at
nursery so I know he's not going to be hungry.

My little boy started going to nursery in January. He loves to go and is equally excited to see me again when I pick him up. The nursery has a big variety of different toys/activities for the little ones and a fantastic outdoor area. The food/snack menu is fantastic and offers a great variety of meals.
The staff have been wonderful in taking their time to explain things to me and give me regular updates on my little boy. We could have not chosen a better nursery for him.

My daughter attends this nursery. She has only been going for a month but she absolutely loves it. She has a passion for painting and the outdoors and the nursery encourages this. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and hands-on. My daughter has had hearing issues so is behind with her speech but
the nursery has really been helping her learn new words. My son also attended this nursery and he was so happy here. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous nursery! Very friendly and welcoming and have always made me feel comfortable with leaving my daughter with them. They are also very good with reassurance in letting me know that my daughter had settled with pictures and a message through the parent app. Would highly recommend.
