This is such an excellent nursery I would recommend it to anyone.
The caring and compassionate culture of this organisation is second to none due to their skilled and organised management team.
Staff are very committed. Treating every child as a unique individual and supporting parents and children
through their child's developmental changes.
Our daughter loves attending this nursery.

My two children have attended Purple Panda. My oldest started when she was 13 months old, she has just left for primary school. My son started at 11 months old and still attends there. I have nothing but praise for the staff and management at Purple Panda. Both my and my children's experience has been
nothing but positive. I feel incredibly happy and assured when dropping them off each morning. I go away feeling they are in safe hands. From the people working there to the outdoor space, to the activities they do throughout the day, I am so happy to have my children there. It's very important for parents to walk away from the doorstep feeling their children are in safe hands so they can go about their work day without worrying about their children. Purple Panda in the three years we have been parents there, continues to offer this to us. I cannot speak more highly of them. Thank you everyone at Purple Panda.

We looked at several nurseries and Purple Panda was the strongest by far in many respects. Our daughter looks forward to going every day and has grown in confidence whilst improving her literacy and general learning. The nursery strikes the balance perfectly with the right mix of educational development
and play sessions.
Communication is great with regular email updates and an app which shows daily habits including sleep, meals and learning activities. There are some lovely photos posted alongside the commentary. The team are kind, supportive and down-to-earth. We are very happy with our experience at Purple Panda and would highly recommend it to all.

We love Purple Panda. Our daughter has flourished under their care. She is always happy to go to nursery and talks about her teachers and classmates nonstop at home. We like that there is a mix of structured and child-led learning. We also like the fantastic garden which they make very good use of.
The staff are always there to discuss child development and have also been extremely helpful with tips for managing behaviour at home/potty training etc.

Both my children are having great experiences at Purple Panda - as am I from the parent side of things! Staff were so attentive during the settling-in process and are always approachable and happy to talk about how the children's days went. Each member of staff has a good relationship with my children
regardless of whether they are their key workers or not. My kids (even the fussy one!) are always happy with the food too! Management arranges lots of opportunities for parents to come in like Easter hunts, picnics and summer parties which is so good for meeting the other parents and feeling a part of the nursery community.
Thank you to all the staff for all that you do! It's such a lovely community to be a part of.

My daughter was attending another nursery in the area and it was clear she was not happy going there anymore. That was putting a lot of distress on my wife and me. Since she joined Purple Panda, she is happy to go to pre-school again. That was a big relief for us. The team have a great touch with kids.
That made her settling process much easier.

Current Review Score: 8.0 (8.015)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.0 (8.015) out of 10 for Purple Panda Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Purple Panda Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (11 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.098 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Purple Panda Nursery is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 51 number of registered child places is 10.2. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.2 = 0.098
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
