My little one has recently started going to Fun Start Childcare. It is a lovely little nursery with fantastic staff. My little one has come on amazingly, and her speech has developed so much more since starting at the nursery. I really recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a warm and supportive

Highly recommend Fun Start Childcare! Both of my daughters have attended here over the years; it's a very warm and welcoming nursery with a lovely relaxed atmosphere, allowing children to naturally explore and learn through play whilst being encouraged to develop skills even further with their assigned
key worker - who has been a great support! All staff are very caring and attentive and are continuously acknowledging and building on my daughter's current interests. She is always eager to attend nursery, and her confidence and social skills have developed a great deal in such a short period of time. Fun Start always goes the extra mile, arranging activities throughout the year for parents to be involved in, parties, days out and opportunities to celebrate achievements. I wouldn't choose anywhere else, and I can confidently say they have given my children the best start!

Fabulous nursery! Staff are friendly and welcoming. They are always putting on fun/educational activities throughout the day and sharing photos and videos with us parents so we can see our children having fun!
They are very informative and well educated, giving our children a great start to education.

My child really enjoys going to this school, she gets along really well with all the staff who are very kind and compassionate. I feel my child is in safe hands when I leave her there. They always have little parties and get-togethers to get family in the doors to enjoy time with their child and see
them comfortable in the nursery’s setting.
Always have fun activities and games to keep kids interested. Always stay up to date with what your child likes to make sure they have something similar going on at school. My child comes home with activities to do extra work to keep her busy which she enjoys. Nursery feels safe and secure and all adult staff are friendly and easy to get along with. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter started here last year and she has absolutely blossomed. When she first started she struggled with her speech and she has come on leaps and bounds since then. I am always kept updated by the amazing staff there and my daughter always leaves with a smile on her face. I absolutely recommend
fun start childcare and if u could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Fantastic nursery, lovely staff! Always happy to help and accommodate any needs of the children. They make my daughter feel safe, happy and comfortable and for a child with suspected ASD that can be very difficult but the staff are amazing with her. 100% recommend!

Since my daughter has been going there she has come on so much, she loves the staff especially her key worker who she follows around. Her confidence is growing and she is learning so much in the short time she has been there, we definitely picked the right nursery.

This is a great nursery.
We have been using this nursery for a number of years for our children as it’s just around the corner, and our kids love it. The staff are always very helpfully and connect well with the children. Our youngest who is currently there is always going on about nursery and would

Fun Start is one of the best pre-school and nurseries in Cannock. Teachers are very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Will go the extra mile to make sure your child is okay and safe. They are very attentive to the children's needs. I highly recommend this pre-school and nursery to any parent looking
for one. Thank you very much to the wonderful staff for everything that you have done for my son.

We are excited to spotlight Tina Jackson, a dedicated professional who has spent an incredible 24 years at Fun Start Childcare. With a genuine passion for childcare, Tina has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children, helping them learn and progress every step of the way.


Tina's journey in childcare began in 2000 when she completed her Level 3 in Childcare and Education. Shortly thereafter, she took on the role of Manager at Fun Start, where her leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping the setting into a nurturing environment. In her commitment to continuous growth, Tina furthered her expertise by completing a Level 5 in Childcare and Education in 2019, ensuring she remains at the forefront of best practices in the field.


Living in a neurodiverse household has enriched Tina’s understanding and passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN). This personal experience allows her to advocate effectively for all children, ensuring that each one receives the support they need to thrive.


As the Manager, Tina is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the setting. She serves as a Key Person, Safeguarding Lead, and SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator), roles that highlight her commitment to both the well-being and educational success of every child in her care.


Tina is also well-qualified, holding certifications in Safeguarding Level 2, Food Hygiene, and First Aid, alongside her current DBS check. These credentials reflect her dedication to creating a safe and nurturing environment for all children.

Amy Jackson

We’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Amy Jackson, who has dedicated the last 10 years to nurturing young minds at Fun Start Childcare. With a profound passion for childcare, she plays an integral role in helping children learn and grow, making a positive impact on their early development.


Growing up in a neurodiverse household has profoundly shaped Amy’s understanding and passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN). This personal experience enriches her knowledge and fuels her commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.


During her studies, Amy gained invaluable experience working in various settings with children from birth to 7 years old. This diverse background has equipped her with a broad understanding of child development, enabling her to tailor her approach to meet the unique needs of each child she encounters.


Her journey began after completing her Level 3 in Childcare and Education, which ignited her enthusiasm for working with children. She pursued her passion further by obtaining a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in Early Education. This educational foundation, combined with her hands-on experience, allows her to create engaging and supportive learning environments.


In her role as Deputy Manager at Fun Start, Amy wears many hats, serving as a Key Person, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Health and Safety Lead, and ENCO officer. Her diverse responsibilities showcase her commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in her care.

Her journey in childcare began with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare in 2000, followed by a Level 4 in Management in 2007, and a Level 4 in Child Psychology in 2013. These qualifications highlight her commitment to professional development and her deep understanding of child development. At Fun Start, Monica serves as a childcare practitioner and a key person, where she builds strong relationships with the children and their families.


Monica is not only well-qualified but also holds a valid DBS check, along with certifications in safeguarding, food hygiene, and first aid. Recently, she completed a Level 2 qualification in autism and behaviour that challenges, further enhancing her ability to support all children, particularly those with special educational needs.
