Montessori by Busy Bees provides a Montessori method of teaching alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The EYFS is a structure of learning, development and care for children from birth to 5 years old set out by the government.

Montessori by Busy Bees provides first class care for your child in a loving environment where each child is treated as an individual. Their professionally qualified team works together to ensure that from babies' early developmental years through to preparation for beginning school, each child is encouraged to realise their full potential.

This is achieved through a carefully developed programme that builds confidence and independence as well as creating opportunities for both educational and social development.

Additional Information:
There is a non-refundable Registration Fee payable to secure your place of £100
£50 of this fee will be credited to the first invoice issued to you following your child’s start date.
Fees are based on 52 weeks per year, paid monthly in advance
A minimum booking of 2 sessions per week is required

No refunds will be given for sickness or holidays.

The nursery will be closed on all Bank Holidays (normal charges still apply)

My daughter joined last summer due to her previous nursery closing. The transition process was handled brilliantly, ensuring she felt settled and comfortable from the start. All the staff are friendly, approachable, and genuinely caring-you can clearly see they take the time to understand each child
as an individual and meet their needs. We've been really pleased with the support, communication, and the warm, nurturing environment they provide.

My son has been going to Busy Bees for the best part of two years now.


This setting is quite unique in that it has a very strong core of really well-qualified teachers, something that is generally quite rare in an industry lacking highly qualified professionals.


Activities are meaningful, well considered

and varied!


They have a very spacious outdoor space and classroom, particularly for London standards. I've grown very fond of the Busy Bees staff as have always felt that both myself and my son are welcomed with warmth and love.


This also looks like a clear good place to work considering the low staff turnover, which is also really beneficial for children and their ability to feel comfortable given the teachers are all people he's know for a long time now.


They also clearly care for growth and improvement and I've seen things get better and better since my son joined!


I'm already sad at the though my soon will be son leaving for reception

We couldn't be happier with this nursery. From the very beginning, the entertainment has felt warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. The educators are truly exceptional/shout out to Ms Carmen and Ms Nimo! They are kind, attentive and deeply committed to each child's development and well-being. What stands
out the most is how much effort the educators put into building strong relationships with the children. Our daughter is happy to go to the nursery every morning, which is a testament to the educators!
The daily activities are real Montessori activities - engaging, creative and thoughtfully planned and supporting both learning and social development in a fun and nurturing way. I also have to mention Lauren and Jade, who manage this nursery, who make it so easy for parents - I always felt supported and as if we belong to a big supportive family. Thank you! Will recommend you forever.

Staff at Putney are amazing. Very caring, our child has build a very close bond with his key worker, and all the staff he interacts with are great. The recent change in payments has not been smooth and remain inconsistent. However, nothing to do with the nursery staff who we are very happy to leave

Our daughter joined the nursery 9 months ago and has really enjoyed her time there so far. She seems very happy and excited at drop off in the morning and pick up each afternoon.
She receives amazing care from all the Busy Bees team - all of whom are experienced, kind and friendly. There seems to be
lots of different activities, toys and books to keep the children entertained. We receive good updates from the team at the end of the day, and the app is brilliant for updates and photos throughout the day. We are particularly impressed by the managers who know each child well and really care about their development and wellbeing.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. My daughter started here at 18 months old, and from the moment she began, she has been cared for so wonderfully. Her transition into the 2-3 room was handled so well, and since being here she has become incredibly confident and chatty. She has learned so many
important life skills that really help her day to day. She has made so many friends here, and we as parents get updated on everything throughout the day. The team conduct learning assessments at different stages on various topics so you can see how they are progressing.
The teachers have been absolutely brilliant, and my daughter often talks about them at home in such a loving way. Lauren and Jade, who manage the nursery, are fantastic. Their care and love for every child is so visible, and they are always helpful and informative with any questions I've ever had. You can see the passion and attentiveness from each member of staff for the children. I'm so grateful to the whole team!

Our child started at the nursery in 2025 and we honestly couldn't be happier. The staff have been absolutely excellent with her so much so that she's often genuinely sad to leave at the end of the day.


What really sold it for us was our first visit. When the manager showed us around, almost all

of the children ran over to her to show her their artwork and interact with her etc It was so clear how comfortable and happy they were around her, and how strong the relationships are between staff and children.


The pre-school room in particular is run exceptionally well. Every child was fully engaged - reading, listening to stories, or playing independently all in a calm, purposeful environment (assume this is the Montessori approach!)

We had a short but sweet time at Busy Bees Putney Montessori until we unfortunately had to move due to a change in work/commute circumstances. Our baby settled in to the Baby Room with the incredibly sweet and funny leaders and very quickly bonded with them. The Baby Room is large and spacious with
a dark and quiet area for naps which is separate from the play area with toys, books, home corner etc, and they have small classes so our baby was able to be with the same two room leaders almost all the time. Everyone we spoke to knew him by name after only a few days which speaks to how friendly and personal this nursery is. We were sad to have to leave!

We've had two children at Busy Bees for the past 3 years and they have had a great time there. The staff have been very friendly and supportive throughout their development. There are regular check ins with key workers to make sure that parents and staff are aligned, and regular activities like world
book day, sports day, Valentine's Day etc.to keep the children engaged. The building itself is nothing special but it does house an outdoor play area at the back, which is great for giving the kids somewhere to run around. There are plenty of activities to encourage development and curiosity. A big thank you to the Busy Bees team!

I'm the mum of a toddler, we joined Montessori by Busy Bees Putney a bit more than 1 year ago.
After a time of settling my child was so excited to go at the nursery. We loved the welcoming atmosphere and the professionalism of each teacher.
This place is a precious place to help the development of
your little one, to help him socialize and build awareness of others' needs. We felt surrounded by people that you can trust. We couldn't expect a better place for our child to start his social life.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found this Montessori nursery for our son. The dedicated staff have been so kind and caring with such good energy, ensuring he is well looked after. Sending your young baby to nursery is such a challenge and at Busy Bees they made us feel so comfortable and supported
him and us in this settling phase really well. The nursery is spacious with lots of natural light and the Montessori philosophy encourages lots of independence from a young age. Our little one loves the nursery and we would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing and positive environment for their child.

Very happy with Busy Bees. Our little one struggled at first starting nursery but is now really happy going in and is thriving.
Great caring, enthusiastic staff in all the rooms she has been in, and better long-term staff retention than the nurseries we experienced with our eldest.

Such an excellent nursery where the staff is there to hear your concerns, give you advice and do whatever is needed to help you and the child thrive. My daughter is so happy there and she loves the great garden. Even on holidays, her favourite role-play game is to pretend that we are going to “Busy

This is a wonderful nursery: staff are really caring and professional, my son gets to do a really wide range of stimulating Montessori-related activities. The facilities are great - the rooms are really tidy and clean, the garden is spacious allowing for all sorts of fun outdoor activities which my
son really enjoys. Pictures of my little one doing various activities are now sent on a regular basis via the app - which I really appreciate.
I know my son is very well looked after and is happy there.

Busy Bees Putney is friendly and welcoming with a calm positive atmosphere. The core staff group is excellent and provides my daughter with support and nurture for her development. Updates are given when requested, although it would be good if this info came to parents (in person or via the app) more

My daughter attended the Putney Busy Bees for 2 years and we had a great experience. She was lucky to have fantastic key workers and it was great to see her development progress in their care and the bond she had with them.


The manager is great and was brilliant in supporting us with settling in

after the first pandemic lockdown.

Hello my name is Lauren and I am the Centre Director at Montessori by Busy Bees Putney.  


I have worked in childcare for over 15 years but started my journey here at Putney in October 2014. I started off as a room practitioner and have worked my way up to Centre Director. I have a Level 3 in Early Years Education and a Level 4 qualification in Leadership and Management. 


I am proud to lead an experienced staff team who constantly demonstrate their love for the children under our care and always strive to support each child's development in the best possible way. Together with our families we form a close community which contributes positively to the children's experience. 


I work hard to establish a strong partnership with everyone in my setting, so we can achieve the best outcome for all. Communication with the community is something I feel is key and my door is always open. 


I am looking forward to welcoming you into our beautiful nursery!
