My daughter loves attending Church Crookham and she seems to have lots of fun.
The staff always seem friendly when I come to drop off or collect my daughter.
Very happy with this nursery and I would definitely recommend it to friends with children.

A welcoming nursery as soon as you walk through the door. Staff are always happy to help and friendly. I feel at ease leaving my child in their care and feel he is developing well for his age. All staff know the children well and their routines, it feels like a home from home.
I love the free flow
aspect of the nursery as my little one loves the outdoors.
I love how management keeps parents up to date with relevant information and events coming up within the setting.

Very welcoming and friendly nursery. Staff are always friendly, happy, helpful and professional with the children and with the parents. The free flow from the rooms into the garden is brilliant and encourages the children to play outside.

My only criticisms are the meal times and area for the children to sleep. Lunch and supper are both too early and it would be great if there was a quiet area for them to sleep. Sometimes there is too much going on and he's too excited to sleep or he's woken up after a short space of time so is over
tired when he gets home.
That said the staff care and are really friendly. We're always greeted with a smile and our little boy enjoys his time at nursery. Am very impressed with Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool.

I have only good things to say about this nursery. Both my daughters who attend really enjoy their time at nursery, they love the activities they undertake and their development has really progressed during their time there. All the staff are really helpful, enthusiastic and supportive to the children.
The facilities are excellent, garden area is very popular and at home development activities are really useful to help continue the girl's development at home. I would happily recommend this nursery to other parents, and regularly do!

I have my second child, my son, at this nursery now. My daughter is now at school. My daughter loved nursery and pre-school and she blossomed there. Early years care is so important and the fleet nursery does a stellar job of providing the nurturing, caring, safe, fun environment for children. I also
value the educational development and skills they have provided to both my children. I have never worried a single second about the care they are getting. My son isn't there as often as my daughter but I can see how much he benefits from it. Thank you.

I have 2 children who attend Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool. It's a fantastic nursery! It's clean, tidy, it has a great outdoor space, the food is excellent and the staff are amazing!
My children love attending the nursery and I feel really reassured that they attend such
a good establishment. It has a warm and welcoming feel and is run extremely well - credit to the management team there.
My son is now in the pre-school which is part of the nursery and really benefits from the mixture of the free flow to the outdoor play area (this has been one of my favourite parts about the setting) and the structure in the room to get him settled and ready for school.
The staff really are fantastic and my children have benefited hugely from attending.
HIGHLY recommend!

Our son really enjoys his time at nursery each day. He goes 5 days per week and is always excited to attend. The nursery have a variety of activities each day and the open space of the garden is a big plus for me. The nursery nurses in his room are always friendly and asking about what he does outside
of nursery to help his development.
His development overall appears to coming on leaps and bounds from the daily activities at the nursery.
Very impressed with there overall approach and would certainly recommend to other people.

My son has attended Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool since he was 7 months old in March 2014. I could not be happier with the care and attention he has received.

I have two older children who attended another nursery in the area so am in the position of being able to compare, -and whilst

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the other nursery, Church Crookham is in a league of its own.

The staff turnover seems to be much less and the staff seem to be, generally, more experienced.

My son has formed some close bonds with the nursery nurses and they genuinely appear to adore him in return.

One of the nicest things about the nursery is that, with the exception of the baby room, the rooms all have direct access to the garden which is open at all times. My son is happiest outside and so spends much of his days in the fresh air playing rather than only being given access to the outside at prescribed intervals.

Would not hesitate to recommend and will be sad to say goodbye.

Our son was at the Nursery from 11 months old and was great to see him flourish through all the stages. The Manager and the team's dedication is a credit to the boy he is and feel he has had the right fundamental skills enhanced to continue his journey.

Such a professional yet homely and family orientated nursery. We have had our eldest child attend the nursery full time from 11 months old through to graduation. She loved attending the school. Now my son is there full time and I can honestly say that he skips into the school. I believe children are
the best judges of the school and both my son and daughter love Church Crookham. I will recommend the school to anyone.

Now my daughter has left the nursery it is clear she was looked after very well in the time she attended. She has now started school and appears to be ahead of where they expected her to be; as they are focussing on things she completed at the nursery.

We have been connected to the nursery for the past 5 years now with our 2nd child attending, we did look around to see if we could find a most cost effective way of childcare. We did find cheaper but only slightly and we felt this wasn't worth the saving to what we would be losing. This nursery is by
far the best in the area. The staff have a real passion for what they do and really care about the children, the food is amazing and our son's diet is very good due to this. (He was being fussy and they catered for this) I would recommend this nursery to everyone and the management are very professional and real stars. Any issues, queries get dealt with in a timely manner. Very polite, friendly, relaxed environment.

We have just started at the nursery and have had such a great positive experience. My son, who normally struggles with new things, settled immediately. I have been really impressed with the friendly and professional approach of the staff and the day is well structured and organised for the children.
I was really touched that on the first day, I was given some laminated photos of him enjoying his day: what a great form of reassurance for a worried parent:-)

Absolutely fantastic nursery, amazing staff who are all friendly, helpful and approachable. My son loves going. My daughter went for nearly 4 years and thrived so much and is coming on really well at school due to the girl's hard work in the nursery especially the pre-school room.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.930 for Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (211 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 227 Ratings = 4.93
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 87 number of registered child places is 17.4, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1

Job Title: Deputy Manager

After a career change, she returned to university and achieved her PGCE in Primary Education in 2014. She then spent nearly 10 years teaching in the Early Years.

In May 2023, she decided to step sideways into the day nursery setting—a new challenge with much to learn and an opportunity to share her teaching experience. She has always loved working with children, and what she values most about Bright Horizons is the family feel and the genuine care shown to both children and families.

She began her journey with Church Crookham as the Third in Charge and enjoyed being part of a team dedicated to ensuring every child was loved, had fun, and excelled in their learning. In October 2023, she was promoted to Deputy Manager and is excited to continue working with the team, growing stronger together, and learning from one another.

Having her twin girls attend the nursery is an added bonus, allowing them to experience the wonderful day-to-day activities and benefit from such a truly special team. She feels very fortunate.
