I am Kate Hersey the Director of Chrysalis Nursery & Pre-School, which was established in 2012. I have a Batchelor of Education Degree from Brunel University, which led me into teaching secondary aged children. I have always had a passion for teaching the younger children so decided to come into early years and that’s when Chrysalis evolved. We have created a homely environment for children to learn and are well equipped with high quality, natural resources. I love watching their development and am blessed to have 3 children of my own who have loved being at Chrysalis. I look forward to welcoming you soon. We are very fortunate at Chrysalis to employ specialist staff, which enhance the support and level of learning in the Nursery & Pre-School and are supernumerary to our practitioners.
My name is Tanya Ryan and I am the Nursery Manager at Chrysalis Day Nursery and Pre-School.
I have been working in Childcare since 2005 and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with you.
I have completed my Foundation Degree in Early Years Management and Leadership and BA Honours in Early Years Education and Childcare.
I started working at Chrysalis in March 2020 and I am Paediatric First Aid trained and the Designated Safeguarding Officer.

I have worked at Chrysalis since August 2012 when the nursery opened.
I have a Level 3 in childcare and a Level 4 in Management.

My name is Caroline Noakes and I have worked at Chrysalis since 2012.
I was first employed as a Room Leader and worked my way up to become a Deputy Manager.
Whilst being at Chrysalis I have completed team leading, safeguarding, Senco and level 3 first aid.
I have worked in childcare for 10 years and I am passionate about providing the best care and watching children develop.
I have worked for Chrysalis since it opened in 2012. I am a qualified Primary Teacher and have worked in several schools locally, both in the State & Independent sectors, so offer a wealth of experience.
I am the Curriculum Leader which entails long term planning, leading circle times and doing focussed activities to ensure the children experience enriching activities preparing them for their next transition to school.
I also mentor staff that are embarking on training programs offering them support when needed.
I am Hayley Taylor the SENDCO for Chrysalis Nursery & Pre-School.
I have worked with children for over 20 years but have particularly worked with SEND children for 11 years. I am also a child’s play therapist outside of my SENDCO work.
I hold a Level 4 qualification in Child Development & Adult and Child’s Play Therapy and Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care, SEN, working with people with learning disabilities.
I also have various CPD training for children with needs as well as an autism spectrum award.
I enjoy supporting any children at Chrysalis with any additional needs and devising IEP plans to support their development and needs.
