Puddleducks Children's Day Nursery Sheriff Hutton

It is ten miles from my home but it is the best in the area in my opinion. I can honestly say in the three years my children have attended I have never had any reason to worry, they are all truly amazing and in very safe hands.

My son was 18 mths old. I didn't want him to go to nursery, he was a very attached child, breastfeeding, sleeping in my bed.

After meeting his key worker I felt at ease. She has a degree in Early Childhood years. I have visited other nurseries in the area, some were in nice period houses or had more aesthetic displays on the walls, but it's the staff who are the most important feature to me. At other nurseries, they seemed very young and 'zoned out'. Not here, they really seemed to care about my son and the small details.

I have a difficult family set up which they handled brilliantly. I am sure it has taken up a lot of time/resources and any other nursery would probably have said 'no thanks!'

I have also been very impressed with the focus on development and education. My son now sleeps through the night in his own bed. He is much more confident in social situations.

Your child couldn't be in safer hands.

My little girl has been attending Puddleducks since Oct'18 and I can't recommend them enough. The whole staff team are just wonderful, they go out their way daily to make the nursery environment so nurturing, welcoming and homely. From the home visit they do to the walks into the local village, my baby girl loves her time with her nursery family and I feel so reassured and happy at leaving her there. The environment is gorgeous, lots of fun messy activities out daily and they have lovely wooden play equipment and toys which my little one loves. She loves the nursery pets and the yummy home cooked food which always looks delicious! Just amazing all round!

Having used Puddleducks for my son now 5, I did not hesitate to book my daughter (10 months) in on my return to work. What an utter joy it is to be back part of the Puddleducks family! How lovely it is to feel that the happy, welcoming atmosphere still exudes the moment you walk in the door! It is clear to see they continue to strive for the best care and learning environment for our children. The food is outstanding, such a wonderful variety and is all freshly cooked on site. It is very clean with lovely age-appropriate spaces. The staff are all so caring, friendly and clearly go above and beyond to make each child and parent feel safe, valued and listened to. Communication throughout the nursery is excellent, always including parents in decisions where appropriate. My daughter's transition into Puddleducks has been seamless and we as a family look forward to her journey there and the wonderful learning opportunities ahead! My son has been going to the nursery for 4 months now and he has just turned 1. He loves going and the nursery have been excellent with him, he has progressed with his eating (as Mummy is nervous giving him things). The staff are so friendly and reassuring. I frequently email through the day to make sure he is ok and they reply promptly and at times send me pictures of him which is lovely when you are at work and have worries is he ok. I would not hesitate in recommending Puddleducks to anyone.

My little boy joined Puddleducks in October 2018 when I was returning back to work from maternity leave. From the first day he started, they have made him and me feel very welcome. The staff are all very polite and remain professional, very easy to talk to and my boy has got a very close bond with his key worker. The meals they provide are delicious, and there is plenty of activities throughout the day to keep him busy. The communication between staff members and also between management and parents is also fantastic- I think we receive an email a day regarding what's going on at the nursery! I am always kept well informed of my baby's care. It makes going back to work a much easier transition knowing your little one is in safe hands!

We have complete trust in the nursery to take care of our child. There is nowhere else in a wide radius that we would trust more.

Leaving your child to go to work is so much easier knowing that the staff care for your children like one of their own. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking to put their child in an early years establishment. It’s a fantastic place filled with lovely staff and children.

Puddleducks have a massive range of activities for the children to do and my daughter is always going out for walks or to the mobile library. I can give Puddleducks Children's Nursery and all the staff 5*. The whole setting is amazing.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery. I was incredibly nervous when he first started but all the staff members are just fabulous and you can really see when the children love it. I have nothing but positive things to say about my son's nursery. I would only ever recommend Puddleducks Children's Nursery. They allow children to be children and that is what it is all about!

I have a child in each room at this nursery so stand in a great position to give an overall holistic opinion as well as a detailed one. My children are thriving and I am entirely at ease leaving them in the care of the staff. Having come from a service family my eldest child has been to a number of child care providers. Puddleducks is by far the best.

I did not realise till having a little one of my own about the standards of nurseries and what makes a great nursery, till the time came we had to choose one for our little one. I had heard of Puddleducks along with other local nurseries, so we booked a look around and within the first 15 minutes of meeting the manager and the team and looking around, I knew it was right for my little boy. He has been there 10 months now and every week we see progress with his learning and development and the new things the team do with the little ones is great and its lovely to pick him up and hear all about the new things and what he has discovered during his time there. The girls are professional, friendly and very approachable and nothing is ever a problem. The menu is different every week and has introduced our little boy to so many different tastes which has helped so much with eating at home. We highly recommend Puddleducks nursery. The care and attention are faultless.

Puddleducks is a wonderful nursery, we have felt welcomed from our first contact. I cannot fault a single member of staff, everyone is so welcoming, they know all the children and make such an effort with them. My daughters have built a great relationship with their key workers who I trust completely. The food is great, my eldest is a fussy eater but she eats almost everything there! The manager is always striving to improve the nursery, taking on board and acting upon the regular feedback she takes from families. Time outdoors is always encouraged, no matter what the weather, with walks into the village, forest school, free access outside etc. I cannot praise this nursery enough, they have it just right!!

Puddleducks is a very special nursery. The owner has put her heart and soul into creating it and it shows. My children have two wonderful carers who genuinely care for them and learn all their quirks, likes and dislikes. The menu is amazing and even my fussy eaters enjoy most of their meals. They have work plans every day to ensure that the childrens day is educational and different. The facilities indoors and outdoors are wonderful and my kids can't wait to get to nursery. They especially love the nature walks and the staff always make sure they have some fresh air during the day. They go to the little library and sit and read books together and encourage their reading and counting. I have recommended Puddleducks to two friends and both have sent their children there and they seem to love it too. I never worry about my children when they are there as I know they are well cared for and having fun!

I would recommend Puddleducks Children's Nursery. Our daughter started in the toddler room and is now in the pre-school room. She settled very quickly and made excellent bonds with her key worker and other staff in the room. It is a lovely, caring environment and you really feel that the staff know your child well and feel confident leaving them in their care. The food is all cooked on site and there is a varied menu, you also get know how much your child has eaten each day. It really is a fantastic nursery.

Both my children have attended Puddleducks Children's Nursery and I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough. Every aspect of Puddleducks is excellent and they really take their time to get to know each child and family. We will really miss Puddleducks when the time comes for our youngest daughter to start school!
