The Wolds Day Nursery

First-class nursery/preschool. I have sent both of my little girls here, one has now been at school for 3 years, but still says The Wolds Day Nursery was the best place. The other one is still going and absolutely loves it. The staff can not do enough for you and show that they generally care about each and every child. Could not imagine sending my little girls anywhere else.

Our son loves going to nursery and has developed so much with his speech since starting in January. The focus weeks are lovely for observing his activity at nursery and we love having a reading box to take home.

The food is lovely too.

Excellent nursery. The staff are wonderful with our daughter and they have really gone the extra mile this year to give the children some normality. The field is a brilliant outdoor space which our daughter loves.

Our daughter has thrived at The Wolds since returning after the first lockdown. The staff are so friendly and have provided a fantastic environment for learning. We could not be happier, and neither could she.

Staff are extremely caring and appear to really enjoy their work. They provide excellent care and education, are extremely knowledgable and put a great deal of thought, time and effort into all the activities they provide. They provide appropriate and consistent boundaries for the children and communicate well with parents. I have no hesitation in recommending The Wolds, they have provided the best possible start for our children and we couldn't have wished for better.

After moving into a new community with my children, Wolds were fantastic with nurturing, supporting and settling my three children in a new nursery environment. My children have grown in confidence and love attending the setting. The staff are experienced, professional and are loved by the children. The nursery environment is clean, homely and a hive of activity and happiness. I highly recommend this nursery.

A nice little nursery. Friendly staff who care for the children beautifully. Great outdoor spaces which get bigger as the children move up the rooms, with a Forest School for The pre-schoolers.

Both our children attended The Wolds Day Nursery from 11 months old right through to Pre-School. It is a really lovely setting with great staff. The care and attention that our children received was first class and the wide range of activities that they took part in meant they were always engaged and enjoyed being there. A particular highlight for them both was the forest school and time spent in the outside play area and the field. Staff being paediatric first aid trained as well as lots of other smaller details that we took for granted gave us peace of mind. The food was also an important factor for us when choosing a nursery as on some days they would be eating breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The meals are well planned out, varied and balanced and thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this nursery and Pre School to other parents.

When we first became parents we were, in all honesty, a little resentful of the cost of childcare. However, due to the experience we have had at The Wolds, we now feel like it is worth every penny. This team is absolutely incredible and we cannot praise them enough. Every time our son moves up to the next room, we’re sad that he’ll no longer be looked after by the key workers he has been looked after, due to how fond both our son and ourselves become of them. However, though his key workers change as he progresses, the quality of his care remains consistently outstanding and he becomes equally fond of his next key worker. I hope everyone says this, but in case they don’t, it should be known that the team at The Wolds seem to care so genuinely about our son. The small moments of affection that they show him are so lovely to see and it gives us so much reassurance that he is both happy and well cared for. If we could give a score above ‘excellent’, we would!

The quality of care and attention given to our children is incredible. We could not be happier with the decision to take our children here. The focus weeks are amazing. Focusing on one child for the week and exploring their likes and sharing them with everyone else. The preparation for school and the teaching our children have received is amazing. The rooms and building are perfect with great facilities. Our children love the food all prepared by an in house cook.

The Wolds Day Nursery offers amazing teachers/carers, fantastic facilities and is managed by excellent and caring people. Over the two years my son has been at the school he has grown in confidence, has learnt a phenomenal amount and is ready to move to school at the end of August. Fantastic nursery. Can’t compare to other nurseries locally but The Wolds have really set the bar high!

Most importantly, my daughter is very happy and is developing well since she started.

Ever since our son has been at The Wolds, he has absolutely flourished. The staff are incredibly caring and keep us informed about his development and give us advice on additional things to help him grow. The environment is really well maintained with great indoor and outdoor spaces for the children to play in. They have a good emphasis on learning but in a fun way. Above all, The Wolds team are just exceptional.
