My daughter has been at this nursery since November 2021, she has always enjoyed going to the nursey. They have excellent facilities, allowing her to explore different areas and try new activities every day. She has developed a wide range of skills and abilities through the learning that has taken place.
The
staff at the nursery are always very friendly and have built a great relationship with my daughter, even the staff she doesn't see day to day in pre-school stop to say good morning and ask how she is doing. It is a very caring environment and children are encouraged to explore new activities and food choices.

Both of my girls have always been really happy to go to nursery and come out with smiles on their faces. The staff always seem to genuinely care about the children. Some staff members clearly go out of their way to create fun for the children and engage with the parents/guardians.

Mostly very good but more detail about progression and development would be valuable face-to-face. The menu needs to be a little more varied as well. The staff are always friendly, happy and very helpful. We are very pleased with the outdoor time that my child has on walks and in the garden and all
the activities that are provided. Lots of variety and marking the seasons and special times of year.

So, my little one has fantastic teachers. They are brilliant and the only reason my little one still attends. Be aware when looking around, they may not be in preschool but pavilion, which I was unaware of, and not happy about due to 8 coming in settling then being unsettled again to move over to pavilion,
but I have managed to start at 9, fortunately, to minimise the impact on my child.
I personally feel there have been a lot of changes over the last 18 months with different people taking over implementing their way of doing things then changing owners again then doing it another way. There is just no consistency in any information!
And a lack of basic things, which again is probably from so many changes!
Basic information like what they will be learning this term, how much sessions cost so on is being missed or they don't know. The communication is just not there.
From the nursery, compared to what I have seen from other nurseries that other family members attend and how it was before.

My son currently goes to this nursery and has done since being a baby, he's currently going to school in September and I know he's going to miss going to nursery, he absolutely loves nursery and all the people that work there! Everyone is absolutely amazing from comforting my child all the way to communicating
with me. He learns so much and, the best part is, he has also has heaps of fun! I love how they give you updates throughout the day and if you have any problems they are more than happy to help! I would 1000% recommend this nursery to anyone.

Really happy with the nursery as a whole, the staff are all really good and my daughter really feels comfortable around them. The transition from one class to another was smooth because they gave the children time in their new room before the move so they knew what to expect. I like how the staff show
you new setups they've made and show pride in their work. The manager is lovely and very approachable. The only criticism I'd make is that sometimes the photos that are uploaded are a bit blurry. Overall very happy with the nursery, things like French and mini movers are the highlight of my girl's week!

My boys loved their week in the holiday club. The staff that I did speak to were polite, lovely and very professional. If any incidents had occurred that day we were always informed when I collected them. My boys are very fussy when it comes to leaving in holiday clubs but both of them told us that
they would be happy to go there again.

I can't fault this wonderful nursery. My daughter is due to finish this coming week and is starting primary school! She has throughout enjoyed her time there and as her mum, I can't be grateful enough! The staff are all excellent, so helpful, friendly and welcoming!


The learning lodge itself is

decorated beautifully. Very cosy and warm! Would highly recommend them to any parents looking to seek childcare!

My daughter attends the holiday club here now she is 5, she attends another school that does not provide care during the holidays. As a working Mum I feel guilty about having to put my child in additional care but my holidays don’t cover the entire school holidays but knowing that she wakes up in the
morning of the holidays asking… “is it (insert staff member name here) day” and I tell her yes then she is straight up and getting dressed without a fight, when it’s not she genuinely seems gutted. When I pick her up, the staff are happy and polite and she comes out with a huge smile on her face. She comes home and tell us all about what she has been doing which is different everyday, such as making aquariums, salt dough fossils and going on an “adventure” to find the bugs. Knowing that she is happy and well cared for makes me feel confident in leaving my child here, they are aware of her allergies and cater for these too. This is a club I would recommend to my friends!

My children attended the after school club - and to sum my review up in one. I would rather struggle to work than send my children here again. I waited until my youngest started school so they could attend after school club together, and after the second week, they both hated it and begged me not to
go. They always spoke of one lady - being mean, always shouting and it isn’t the first time I heard this name either.
The club continuously overcharged me for sessions - and in October half term, charged me and chased me for money when they didn’t even attend! Although it was disputed I always received phone calls and emails chasing money from me.
When I suddenly stopped letting the kids attend they threatened me that I’d still be charged - I let them know they wouldn’t be getting any more money from me, and I asked to raise a complaint about a particular member of staff who was so unprofessional it’s untrue! Basically - the manager did nothing. About anything at all.

Hello, my name is Janet, and I am the setting Manager at Kids Planet Anchorsholme.


I have worked in childcare for 17 years 12 years of which have been continuous employment with the company working my way up from Practitioner to Manager in March 2023. I hold my level 3 in childcare and development. I am fully paediatric first aid qualified and hold a certificate as a designated safeguarding lead.


I always knew my passion was with children and something I was eager to learn all about and how to help them develop so began my career in childcare. I have worked with all age ranges and love spending my time in the rooms getting to know all the children.


In my spare time outside of my manager role I enjoy long walks in the lakes with my dogs, and spending quality time with my three children and family.
