As the Manager, I provide support in the overall leadership and management of the setting and lead on all aspects of nursery provision, including the delivery of the EYFS.

Within my role as contingency manager, I support the day-to-day running of the nursery and oversee our play curriculum to ensure that the standard of provision being offered at all times is of an ‘outstanding’ level.
I have worked within the Early Years sector for 4 years now in a variety of different roles in a few settings within the city including Early Years practitioner, room leader, junior assistant manager and now my current role of contingency manager at Best. Before this, I trained to be a Primary School Teacher and received my BA in Primary Education from the University of Hull in 2019. I am a TEFL-qualified teacher and have spent time in Southeast Asia teaching in a school out there.
I believe highly in the importance of children’s mental health and have completed numerous qualifications in this field to build and develop my knowledge. I am a strong advocate of outdoor play and am immersed in the benefits of this aspect of Early Childhood Development. I enjoy providing children with a safe and nurturing environment where they are free to flourish, and I firmly believe that the outdoor classroom provides the best opportunities for this.
As a highly qualified Senior Nurturer, I have provided dedicated learning, care and love to the children and families of Best Family Childcare for over 9 years. I believe that instilling a sense of awe and wonder whilst providing professional love to the children in my care is what makes their early years memorable. I know the importance of cultivating a safe space which supports all children in feeling a sense of belonging as children thrive on daily adventures; laying the foundations for future success.
I treasure my role as Assistant Manager and feel privileged to share my passion for "creativity" in our ethos for all children and families.
I have been with Best for over 12 years now and have recently achieved my BA Honours in Childhood studies. Sharing my eagerness for continued professional development is something which is embedded within my Pedagogy and approach to supporting our Nursery Community.

At Nursery we recognise the importance of different expressions of communication: including verbal and non-verbal.
