The nursery boasts a committed, friendly and well-qualified nursery team that provides high-quality care and learning opportunities for children aged between two- and five-years-old. They also offer some availability for older children up to eight-years-old in the school holidays.
The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with a strong focus on learning through play. Every child has a key person who best understands how to meet each child's individual needs and interests and parents are actively encouraged to become involved in the life of the nursery.
The team establishes a culture of 'in the moment' planning which is a modern approach to planning children's development. This helps to ensure that every child feels involved, stimulated and happy whilst at the nursery.
The nursery is currently open from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday, 38 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays and three staff training days, usually one per term.
The nursery offers funded 15 hours childcare for qualifying two-year-old and all three- and four-year-old children. They also offer 30 hours funded childcare for three-year-old children with working parents who meet the criteria.
The nursery offers both indoor and outdoor play and gives children experiences of learning through play
Acorn grove has a on sight parking which is free for parents or visitors to use. It is a private car park.

Morning sessions run from 9 am to 12 pm. Afternoon sessions run from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. An extra 30 minutes can be purchased for £5.50.

Families accessing government-funded childcare hours are not charged for extras such as consumables, learning resources, or activities. However, a contribution is asked towards snacks and meals, which is entirely voluntary for families accessing funded hours.

Late pick-up charges are: £20 for the first 15 minutes, £10 for every additional 5 minutes thereafter
Refundable Deposit
The nursery does not charge a registration fee. However, families who are paying fees are required to pay a deposit to secure their child's place. This deposit is fully refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice, provided the required notice period has been given and all terms of the agreement have been met. Full details of the deposit and notice requirements will be provided during the enrolment process to ensure complete transparency and peace of mind for families.

I’m really happy with Acorn Grove Nursery for my two year old. The staff members and nursery managers and key workers are excellent, very helpful, gentle and polite. My son took a while to settle in the beginning and I was quite worried that he wouldn’t stay without me but all the staff made so much effort with him. They made sure every day there were activities that he enjoyed to divert his attention and keep him happy and busy. They also provided help to toilet train him. My son managed to settle in and was so happy to be in nursery and play. They updated the app regularly with progress reports of my son informing of his development with his age. If I left him upset they would message shortly advising how long he took to settle and whether he’s alright. At home time they always told me how his day was what he’d eaten and what activities he did and enjoyed.
It’s a great nursery, I highly recommend it. I’m so pleased with the staff and service provided. Overall I wouldn’t change this nursery.

My son visits this nursery with pleasure, arriving every morning with a smile and a hug with his host. The staff are all kind and caring with the kids, my kid has been very advanced since going here. I recommend to every parent to bring their child here if they want to be in the right hands.
