Poppies Daycare Nursery Perham Down Reviews (6)
Over all time Poppies Daycare Nursery Perham Down has 6 reviews.
I have been very happy with Poppies nursery over the last few months. Being a first-time parent it was hard to put him into a nursery. But, he loved it! He seemed to be happier there than at home! The staff have all, always been very friendly and helpful. I loved attending the parents evening and the feedback and notes on development were very good. I loved the hot lunches they supplied. I am devastated that we cannot afford to keep him in Poppies now that I am going on maternity leave but they are worth every penny.
My daughter has started the nursery since March 2015. The staff was very helpful to make her feel settled. She goes to the nursery with a smile on her face and learns very quickly. The activities vary starting with: cooking, dancing, painting, singing and finishing with playing outside. The staff are very dedicated and always happy to help whenever possible with an attitude "can do". Previously my older son attended the same nursery in another town and I had the same feeling for them. I am happy to recommend this nursery to anybody. Thank you Poppies.
I am very happy with the care that the nursery provides. The staff are all friendly and competent - they are enthusiastic and organise lots of different activities for the children. The routine for each day means that my daughter is very settled and comfortable, but she learns something new through all the different organised learning activities whilst also being given free time to explore, be independent and make her own fun. The food is excellent and she always eats seconds of her main or pudding! The outside area is used a lot which is good to see. Overall I would rate the nursery as good and would definitely recommend it to friends.
Great nursery, reliable and surprisingly flexible (for a nursery!). My son settled really well initially although there were some hiccups when staff changed around in September. However, he is now very well settled again, gets great stimulation and care in a well equipped and loving environment. Food is fantastic! Feels very personal, even when the nursery is busy. I would recommend.
I recently moved to the area and was nervous sending my daughter to somewhere I didn't know anyone. Straight away I was greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely tour. My daughter was taken in with a kind, loving atmosphere in the room. She connected straight away with her key worker who made me feel at ease about leaving her. All the staff here are brilliant and really care for your child like their own. I am glad I chose Poppies for her nursery. The only improvement I would like is better security on the door, but that is doable. Very happy with Poppies.
Thank you for your wonderful comments. We would be more than happy to chat with you with regard to the security at front door. We have and entry system so people are unable to enter the building unless they are buzzed in, or unless a staff member allows someone entry to the building, and the...
We have two children attending Poppies, both 3 and under. Neither my hubby nor I trust very easily when it comes to anyone in regards to the care of our children but I can honestly say Poppies negates any need to worry at all.
Our daughter started as a 9 month old baby; they were extremely kind and supportive and addressed any concerns immediately; it is not an easy thing for a parent to leave their most loved little people with anyone, but there is no need for concern at Poppies.
The staff are wonderful. They all bring different things to the table but are all caring, kind, enthusiastic and nuturing. One staff member is especially wonderful; she comes from a large family and it shows; the children gravitate towards her and she is gentle, and granny like. Both of my children adore her. She to our family is the unsung hero of Poppies.
The routine at Poppies works wonderfully, though flexible it is school like which the children thrive on. There is always a new theme and its tailored to the children's interests which makes it very interactive and fun place. They have a pet snail who the children adore and they are encouraged to care and take ownership of him.
Poppies has free flow into the outside space which is large and fairly well equipped. My children love the mud kitchen and the slide. There is also a Wendy House and various areas which they adapt to play and interests. That said the children often go for walks and explore locally. Just yesterday Poppies class went walking to gather blackberries. Needless to say she adored it.
Our son is in Lady Birds which is pre-school. He thrives there, its run in more of a school like fashion and he adores it. He is learning French and loves to share his new words and songs at home with us.
Both children have amazing vocabularies for their ages and are well rounded and happy children. They adjust to new situations well, are able to problem solve and are keen to learn; they really thrive at Poppies.
The care, education, support and security for childrens at Poppies is amazing. We are a forces family and our son is on his 5th nursery through moves. He has never been more settled or happy and we as parents have never had more trust or satisfaction in any nursery setting. Its super and though its a pretty penny its worth every one.
