At Montessori by Busy Bees Wandsworth they offer a child-centred approach by implementing the Montessori pedagogy and philosophy. They follow the children’s interests and promote high levels of independence, always recognising that children learn at different paces.

The Montessori and EYFS qualified team work together to ensure that, from babies' early developmental years through to preparation for primary school, each child realises their full potential through carefully developed individual learning plans.

The Nursery values the parents’ views and have a strong partnership with them. They offer three formal parent-teacher meetings a year, a fortnightly newsletter and they also have a Parent Committee which meets with them twice per term.

The Nursery has three classrooms (Babies, Toddlers and Pre-school) and a huge garden that serves as an extension to the rooms, providing meaningful learning experiences.

They do regular outings to local parks, library and Vauxhall farm, and they also offer Spanish+Music lessons and Forest School sessions weekly.

The Italian on-site chef prepares homemade meals providing healthy and well-balanced nutrition.

What a wonderful place this Montessori was! Our son was there from 7 months until 4 years old when he started school. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, patient, kind and professional: it has a real 'family feel'. And they potty trained my son, which is priceless!
The Montessori has a variety
of activities, such as weekly 'nature garden', art exhibitions and world culture day.
We are very sad to be leaving Busy Bees, thank you so much for all that you have done for us.

Our son attended Busy Bees from the age of 10 months until he was about 2.5 years.
Staff is friendly, professional, caring. We could clearly see him developed closed relationships with them, as well as with his peers.
Child development is central with a range of daily activities to promote their
manual and intellectual development. The low amount of staff turnover is testament of good management too.
As parent, we get daily reports which include meal, naps, activities and pictures. Meals from the chef looked amazing.
We have now moved to another area of town and can see the difference with the high standards set by Busy Bees and our new nursery. Keep up the good work!

We are so lucky to have found this nursery! Our daughter (2.5) adores the staff and has really blossomed here. The manager and all the staff are caring, friendly and patient. The atmosphere is always very homey and welcoming, with 3 classrooms and a lending library. The children are given varied activities
each day and spend a lot of time outside (v.important to us), including trips to a local nature garden. The food always looks and smells great. We can't recommend it highly enough!

We have had a brilliant experience with Busy Bees Wandsworth. We were really nervous about settling our 1-year-old but the staff were so supportive and helpful in getting her used to nursery life. My daughter is already so happy at nursery, very relaxed at drop off and happy at pick up, and clearly

I can only thank everyone who works at this nursery from the bottom of my heart. 7 teachers in particular you are all wonderful. Since day 1 I did not doubt that I could trust you all to look after my daughter.
This intimate setting is perfect. The activities organised during the day are fantastic
to support my daughter in her development. It's been amazing to see her flourish since she started at nursery. They somehow work their magic to get my daughter napping and frequent and appropriate nappy changes and she is always well kept and clean on pick up (and always smiling on pick up). Updates on the app are consistent and very sweet.

I have sent my son to a few other places in the area before settling with Busy Bees and I've got to say this is the place that makes me feel most assured. The management team is professional and involves closely in taking care of the students. The room teachers are confident, knowledgeable and loving
towards the children. My baby makes friends with many kids from around the world and my husband and I form great relationships with their parents.
The teachers organise fantastic events all year round to promote family relationships, environment, sports and culture/religion diversity and that, aside from teaching the children about different aspects of life, creates strong bonds amongst families.
My son learnt to be independent and compassionate as well as is nurtured the love of reading.
Can't recommend enough!

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees since April 2024. The staff is so warm, welcoming, and caring. She's always happy to go and happy at the end of the day, and the activities are varied and engaging. I love the fact that I've never felt that she's solely under the care of his key person, the staff
really do work as a team and it makes a huge difference. The manager is brilliant, and the nursery has been extremely supportive and accommodating to our family needs. I genuinely can't recommend this setting highly enough. They are all wonderful but one staff member in particular needs a special thanks, she is absolutely amazing.

The nursery is a nice space for my child to go to see the staff who have been caring for her since her first week. They make her feel welcome and cook lovely homemade food. Everyone has been really helpful friendly and professional. They update with her progress on the app and send photos which are
really nice to see during the day. The ethos to allow the children free flow of playing inside and outside to be independent and put on their own jackets and shoes/wellies is great. One day a week they visit the garden which adds to education outside and planting and playing in the mud. I would recommend.

I have been really worried prior to starting the nursery, and I am so happy that we started this journey at Montessori Busy Bees. Everyone was so supportive, extremely professional and very attentive to both me and my daughter. She quickly adapted to her classroom and made friends with all of the lovely
staff and kids.
We get regular updates on what she is doing on a daily basis, and so far, all activities have been very interesting, variable, thematic and season-appropriate. My daughter runs into the nursery without hesitation every morning, and the way I see her behave there is exactly the same as at home, which means she feels that this nursery is like her home.
The food is delicious and freshly made every day. We have frequent various parent events, and it does feel like a family. I am so happy to see my daughter thrive and enjoy every moment of her time there.

The most amazing nursery - simple as that! My son has attended the nursery since the age of 1 and now at nearly 4, he is the happiest, most confident little boy and a lot of that has to do with the love, dedication and care shown to him by his carers. There is a real family feel at the nursery and the
teachers truly care and love for the children. My son loves being outdoors and with a huge outdoor space to enjoy, he couldn’t ask for anything more. The chef's pizza is a hit! If you are considering putting your child in nursery, I couldn’t recommend this nursery more.

I can’t express enough how amazing this nursery is, the teachers, the chefs down to the parents everyone is so helpful and loving. Extremely clean, dedicated staff willing to go above and beyond to support when needed. My child has been going here since she was 2 years old and during those times being
a single mother and having the support that I received from them and now is more than I can say. My child started unable to speak clearly and by the age of 3 could read, her writing has improved because of the care, patience and time they’ve given her. My second family. Mr Tommy’s pizza is her all time fav meal!

My baby joined the nursery back in January when he was one year old. I feel my baby is safe and well looked after and that’s a lot to say for a mum. He now walks in happily every morning. Amazing staff and good facilities.

Our son has been attending this nursery for 2 years now. It was such an easy decision for us as when we first took him to see it, unlike other places we went to visit, he straight away made himself at home and started playing and exploring. We haven’t looked back since! It’s still his favourite place
with its fully equipped facilities, big outdoor area, regular trips to the nature garden, varying learning activities, wonderful application of Montessori principles, delicious food which allowed our son to be a very experimental eater. But most importantly, it’s the staff! So much care, so much genuine fondness and interest that we can see them having towards our son and all the children that attend is so moving to witness on a daily basis. We’ll sadly be moving on to primary at the end of summer and everything about this place will be sorely missed!

Busy Bees Wandsworth has exceeded our expectations in every way. The communication between the nursery and parents is excellent. The teachers provide regular updates on my child's progress and they are always available for parent-teacher conferences and discussions. The Montessori approach, dedicated

Job Title: Centre Director

Hi, my name is Marta, and I am the Centre Director at Montessori by Busy Bees, South Lambeth.


I have been working in childcare for the past 13 years and love every minute spent in the nursery. Growing up in a childcare environment (both my mum and grandma were early years teachers) has prepared me well for my career. I moved from a company that had a bespoke curriculum based on Forest School, Bruna, Reggio Emilia and Montessori theories and I realised that I would love to work in a full Montessori environment as it provides unique opportunities for each child to thrive in their own way and pace. I believe that the Montessori method of teaching is the best start we can offer to our children. 


I joined Busy Bees, South Lambeth because I’ve fallen in love with the building, children and team on my first visit. I believe that all children should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential and working closely with parents and the lovely team, here at South Lambeth, will help us achieve this.
