Rockwell House Day Nursery

He has had a couple of knocks and bruises and I feel they have been dealt with brilliantly.

They are also very careful in not getting the children dirty which is a great help at the end of the day!

Rockwell has been the most fantastic start to our little one’s nursery journey. All the staff there are friendly, attentive and welcoming. Our little girl can be nervous around new people and it’s a testament to the nursery staff that by week 2 she was flinging herself into the carer's arms at drop-off! The genuine love and care that the staff show for our little girl is incredible and the huge smile she comes out of nursery with speaks volumes! We get regular updates throughout the day via the app and always feel happy and comfortable that she is happy and safe at all times. The centre manager also knows everything about her which speaks volumes for how close-knit and caring all the nursery staff are. Keep doing a fantastic job Rockwell we are so grateful to have you in our little girl's life!

My son has attended Rockwell since April 2022 and my daughter since July 2023. Since that time, the nursery has had its fair share of struggles with staffing and management but both of my children have continued to be very happy at nursery and I have had no doubts that they have been thoroughly cared for and looked after. Since the new management took over about 6 months ago, the nursery has changed tenfold and the staff are all amazing. So attentive, caring and always giving me thorough feedback about how both of their days have been. Both of my children are so happy to walk into nursery and their development has come on in leaps and bounds since being there. I can’t recommend Rockwell highly enough!

My little boy has been at Rockwell since November due to the closure of the Shellingford nursery. The initial couple of weeks were tough on both of us with him settling in. However, after only a few short weeks he was excited to go into nursery each day and is always so happy and chatty when I collect him. I've also really noticed a change in his development, he's more confident, more chatty and overall so happy and seems to be learning so much and takes me by surprise with new things he has learned! The staff are great and always take time to give me an update on his day! I was really apprehensive about this move but the staff made me feel so at ease and made it easy for us! I would definitely recommend this nursery!

The only minor thing I would ask for is more updates on what foods he is eating rather than just what he ate at breakfast/lunch/dinner. But that’s just a personal preference to me. The fact that he eats is what matters!

Avoid at all costs.

My little boy has attended the nursery since he was 8 months old. We have always felt welcomed, my little boy is very well looked after and cared for by his key worker and the staff within his room. We get lovely detailed feedback of his day. He tries a range of foods whilst at nursery. He has come on leaps and bounds with his development with activities that he’s been able to enjoy. He absolutely loves the huge garden, being able to access different equipment and resources. We definitely would recommend this nursery!

My daughter attended the preschool at this nursery and honestly came on leaps and bounds since she joined. She has enjoyed attending and made lots of little friends. The staff are fantastic and always kept us well informed. Lovely setting, big outside area and really convenient location. We, as a family, will miss the nursery now that my daughter has left for school. We can't recommend Rockwell highly enough.

Rockwell has been fantastic, our daughter, she has come on leaps and bounds since she began back in 2017. The staff have been fantastic and a big part of my daughter's progress is all due to the hard work and dedication of every single one of the workers within the nursery. Myself, and my wife and our daughter will miss everybody so much. Thanks to you all so very much.

When I tell my 18month old daughter that she's going to nursery today she runs to the door shouting "cuddle" then lists the staff members she intends to cuddle at nursery. This is a great reaction for me as a parent as it tells me how happy and well cared for she is at Rockwell. The staff are so friendly and helpful and always willing to have an open chat about how my daughter is getting on. She is always exhausted by the end of the day from being so well stimulated. We are very happy that our little girl is so happy!

We miss all the staff at Rockwell so much and can not thank them enough for helping our daughter grow!

My 15-month-old daughter has been attending nursery 3 days a week since July 2018. We are very happy with the nursery and the care provision. The children are happy, the carers are very friendly and engaged. Daily feedback is always face to face from the key worker and is informative. The children get lots of outdoor play time and the rooms inside are beautifully clean, spacious and stimulating. It is a very safe and caring environment and all the staff are focused on the care and welfare of the children. My daughter loves the food too so I would recommend Rockwell to everyone.

Learning environment where my daughter is growing and thriving. Staff and carers are very helpful and approachable. I will recommend the nursery to anyone who is looking for a home away from home for their toddlers!

We all love everything about Rockwell House.

Our daughter is an Owl (the preschool class) and loves her teachers, her (recently redecorated) free flow classroom space - she has the run of 5 rooms (including their little dining room and boot room) and a lovely (again, recently overhauled) garden with room to run and play; and there is soon to be a vegetable plot for them. She has never eaten so well with all the fresh snacks, a healthy and varied hot lunch and tea (they also offer breakfast). She is making some lovely friendships there and I can see her growing in confidence and curiosity. She adores show and tell, painting and all the time they spend outside but I can also see her picking up numbers and letters... Most days I cannot get her to leave when I pick her up!

As a parent I think the space is wonderful, the staff and management are great (everyone is friendly, helpful and always try to be flexible) and my daughter is really flourishing there under their care.

The children always seem to be having fun and are learning at the same time, our daughter loves it and has been going for the last year.

The staff are brilliant and are always very approachable. The facilities have recently been refurbished and modernised too. I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery.
