Blackberries Childcare Group – Wisbech (Blackberry House Day Nursery) is the flagship setting of the Blackberries group, located on Norwich Road in Wisbech. It is an Ofsted-rated Outstanding early years setting providing high-quality childcare and education for children aged 0–5 within a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment designed to support every stage of development.

The nursery is built around a strong ethos of “inspiring childcare and education, nurturing each child’s qualities and potential.” This is reflected in everyday practice, with a focus on creating a warm, caring environment where children feel secure, valued, and confident to explore, learn, and grow.

Children are supported through carefully designed baby, toddler, and pre-school rooms, each tailored to their individual developmental needs. Learning is delivered through a play-based approach aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), encouraging curiosity, independence, communication, and social development through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

A key strength of the Wisbech setting is its rich indoor and outdoor learning environments, including creative spaces, sensory areas, and outdoor provision that promotes exploration and physical development. Forest School-inspired experiences further enhance children’s confidence, resilience, and understanding of the natural world.

Blackberrys is a very good nursery. The communication from staff to parents is very good. My little boy always is happy and excited to go in. I feel like the staff are warm and friendly. If I have had any issues, the Manager has contacted me and assisted me promptly. I really like the new food menu
and feel like he has nutritious meals whilst at nursery. I feel the staff have helped with my little boys' confidence in different areas.

I absolutely love my children being at this nursery. I could not wish for any better. Amazing staff team and so attentive to the children's needs. I will be sad to see my kids move onto big school. They've settled so well and it's like a second home to them. Thank you all so much.

I was recommended to use this nursery and it is one of the best in the area. It is quite expensive but the care, staff, food activities and support is excellent.
