About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 52 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 52 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 21.9 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

We had a lovely time exploring the nursery with Willow showing us around. It was great to see all her different places, and what she likes doing while here. I was very impressed by how clean and well organised everything was, with clear places for everything and distinct areas for different kinds of play. I also particularly liked how friendly and approachable all the staff were, and how well they knew Willow. She wasn't nervous talking to anyone, which is a big reflection on how comfortable she feels here. Overall I have been very impressed by how far the nursery has come since I last visited, and I am looking forward to hearing and seeing all the changes still yet to come.

I am incredibly pleased with the progress my son, Eric, has made at this nursery. As a single parent, I truly appreciate the dedicated support and the nurturing environment provided by the staff. We've known the nursery for nearly seven years, as both our daughters have attended, and now it's just our youngest. Over the past year, under new management, it has changed in a very positive way. The teachers are lovely, friendly, and informative. Everything feels well organised and runs smoothly. The app is very helpful, providing daily updates on activities, meals, sleep, and nappy changes. We're very pleased to see how happy and content our daughter is, and she is developing really well.
The only area for improvement might be a general refurbishment of the premises, as other locations appear more modern. Overall, we are very satisfied with our experience.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since early 2024. She has learned and picked up so much in this time. Her keyworker is great and is always giving me updates on her progress, she really helped my daughter settle in when she was having a rough time to the adjustment of starting nursery. The manager responds to my many emails and questions promptly and is always ready to help.
All staff members I have come across are polite and friendly and always greet my daughter by name when I'm dropping her off.
We was recently invited into the nursery for a mothers day activity and it was a lovely to see the children interacting with eachother and the staff. My daughter loved showing me all around the garden where she plays regularly.
Overall this nursery suits my needs and the needs of my daughter, and I am happy with my decision.

My son had presenting problems and the staff were able to help him and supported him very well. He has always come home telling me he has had a good day and enjoyed playing with his friends. There is one staff member that he absolutely adored and she did help him with a lot. They are very good with communication and if you have any issues they sort it out professionally. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at Twisty Tails. Our son attended Colindale from Jan to Apr 2022. The tech/app they use is very basic and does not provide much info at all on what our son was doing throughout the day. We had to complain multiple times about his nappy not being changed enough (lots of times he was in the same nappy for over 4 hours). The Area Manager said 4 hours was standard at TT. The final straw was when our son had an accident at nursery and then had a seizure the next day. He had a brain scan which luckily came back clear. We made a Subject Access Request to view the CCTV of the accident. The first SAR was ignored, and the 2nd was refused due to a lack of technology to blur out faces (that is not how you reply to a SAR).
There's not enough space to write a detailed review here. As a parent, if someone else experienced what we've been through at this nursery I would want to know.

I am very happy with the care the staff from Twisty Tails Nursery - Colindale gave to my boy. He started at a very young age at ten months, in the baby room and he received the attention and love he needed to settle well. He was always happy to go in and he felt at home there. When he turned two he moved in toddlers room, where he seems to be as happy as upstairs. The staff are always smiling, welcoming and happy to help. The nursery has a “home away from home “ feeling which is much needed at such young age.

My daughter is really happy at Twisty Tails Nursery - Colindale - the nursery routine helps her get better eating and sleeping pattern. I am pleased with the care she received. The staff are excellent, very caring and always have smiles on their faces. Each month they have a planned theme for the babies'/kids' activities, and I can see my daughter learned a lot during role-play, garden play, painting, baking and so on. We get feedback each day via the app to know the daily life of my daughter at the nursery and received many pictures and comments weekly. And they always listen and help when I have any concerns. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
