Diana and her wonderful team are absolutely amazing. My daughter has been attending there since 9 months old. As a first time mum I was so worried initially about leaving her in nursery but they quickly but my mind at ease with their responsiveness , care and compassion. They always go above and beyond
whether it be to look after your child, help with improving their sleep, their diet, milk intake and overall wellbeing.
They are always quick to respond and go above and beyond to help you. Special thanks to Disha, Saffiya Kirini and Lauren who do a wonderful job in the baby room.A particular special thanks also goes to Diana, the nursery manager whose care and love for the children and her job doesn't go unnoticed. I feel safe knowing Diana is a permanent member of staff who has helped transform this into a wonderful nursery. She is sensible understanding compassionate hands-on annd always willing to help parents with any concerns and queries. I can't thank her enough .

Busy Bees is the bed nursery in Watford. My son was going there and now my daughter is in there. There's a very pleasant atmosphere, and the teachers are professional, responsible, and reliable. The children feel very comfortable there, having fun and learning a lot. The classrooms are clean, well-kept
with lots of toys, the food is also very good. I am very pleased and know that I am leaving my children in good hands every day of the week.

This is a wonderful nursing place for children. The staff are caring, patient, and very attentive to the kids' needs. They create a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment where children can learn and feel comfortable. I feel confident leaving my child here knowing they are well looked after. I highly
recommend this place to other parents.

The staff have been helpful since my little one started with them. We get regular updates on her milestones and activities from the app and from handover. Social skills have developed well for our little one, and that's a good thing for us.

My daughter started nursery last September and she was very shy at the beginning. Thanks to the kind and caring staff, she slowly gained confidence and since January she has been going to nursery happily every day.

The team has been incredibly supportive and even helped with potty training, which

she learned within a week. Every day when I pick her up, I can see how well she is looked after and how much the staff care about the children.

Any concerns I have are always addressed quickly, and the communication is excellent. My daughter has a lovely connection with her key person, which means a lot to us. We are very grateful for the care and support they provide.

My experience was good. We were a little concerned when there had been a big turnover of teachers and managers but new teachers and new managers are great. There has also been improvement of furniture and outside space.

Since the recent change of management, we feel more confident in the structure and level of attention shown by the centre director and senior staff.
This is reassuring knowing that the current management cares and takes responsibility for ensuring all involved (staff and parents/guardians and carers)
feel safe and create an environment which our child loves to attend daily to learn new things and make friends and have fun.

Busy Bee at Watford General Hospital has exceeded my expectations since the beginning. The atmosphere is joyful, and I have observed significant happiness among the children daily. My daughter has developed many essential skills and has gained confidence and social manners during her time at the nursery.
The variety of outdoor activities available has been beneficial for her enjoyment and development. The educators provided an extensive range of engaging activities and teaching methods. Additionally, the quality of food has been commendable, with the chef preparing tailored meals onsite including allergen-free and plant-based options. I appreciated the prompt updates via apps. The classrooms maintain a clean and organised environment. I have confidently recommended this nursery to many other parents.

Busy Bees is Watford is a brilliant nursery! My kids love going there and you can see them learning new skills week by week. I feel the leadership is very good and the team seems happy to work in the nursery.
Last year, the nursery was struggling due to multiple changes of management and as a parent
I was getting very concerned, however since the new management is in place the nursery has flourished!

I am extremely satisfied with Busy Bees. My son had a very hard time to settle as he never spent time away from me. The staff were very accommodating and did everything to make his setting easier. Nothing was too much for them, and they were always very reassuring. Every time I pick him up, I always
have a full handover. Also, they have a great app where I can see during the day what he's been up to, how much he ate, slept, etc. Overall, I am very happy with Busy Bees and wouldn't choose any other nursery for him.

The nursery is located between the hospital and the football club, hence space is limited, but I recognise the effort of staff to make it as welcoming as possible for kids and parents. I like it is a nut-free environment. I like the fact it's a multicultural nursery with diverse staff and diverse kids
in it. I think this will be a positive growth factor for my son, and I am really happy he is enjoying the time he spent in the nursery.
I would recommend the nursery to other parents.

We have been using the nursery since January 2023, and the staff have always been very reassuring and kind. They have always greeted us at the door with a smile and given a detailed briefing at pickup. I greatly appreciate the care that they take with our child, they communicate development very quickly
and map out learning milestones very well. I also enjoy the snapshots we get of our child interacting with others and playing independently.
I am so grateful to the Busy Bees team for the impact they have had on my child's socialisation skills, thank you so much!

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 10 months old, and she is now 2 years old and 8 months old. I thoroughly recommend the nursery, and the staff here are so lovely and helpful! My daughter adores it, and as I work in the hospital, I do too, as it's so easy to drop her off/pick her up
and reassuring knowing she's having a lovely time while I'm at work. She loves the activities and the meals, and the staff are so sweet with her. She's had Senco assistance, and the nursery has been so supportive and wonderful in aiding her with her speech development and keeping us updated on her improvement. You can really tell that they love and care for the kids here, I couldn't recommend them enough!

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.920) out of 10 for Busy Bees Watford Hospital is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.920 for Busy Bees Watford Hospital is calculated as follows: ( (256 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 274 Ratings = 4.92
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Watford Hospital is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 number of registered child places is 9.2, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
