Bright Horizons is a great alternative private nursery. Our child thrives in the Bright Horizon learning spaces compared to other nurseries we have experienced. The curriculum and care are exceptional. We really like the fact that the nursery (Bright Horizon Renfrew) is very clean. Staff and management
are great, very helpful and nothing is too much. The garden area could do with being a bigger pace with brighter/improved (more colourful) equipment/play.

Overall very good.
Management excellent - slight concern over staff turnover in the baby room but no real concerns as other staff very good.
Would like her to get outside more and into other parts of the Centre eg. soft play, etc.

My little one has had yet another enjoyable year at Bright Horizons and made impressive developments in her speech and social skills, her writing, crafts and sport.
The variety of events and activities offered at the nursery keeps her on her toes, learning and creating interest in new experiences.

The staff are very friendly and my child always seems to have had a great time when I pick him up. The nursery provides a wide range of food, which is thoroughly enjoyed, I like that I get told each day what was eaten and how much of it. Not the cheapest nursery in the area but worth it for the quality
of care and overall service provided.

I would like to say a BIG thank you and highlight the excellent staff that Renfrew Day Nursery has. Being a foster carer the nursery has played a key role in becoming my network. The care and attention and learning experiences my child has had every week has been superb, from the baby room to her moving
up the nursery to her pre-school year, super staff who truly care. Thank you

Staff are Renfrew Day Nursery is fantastic, caring, educated and always willing to help.

Resources could be a bit better for the kids - some garden activities for outside like planting and growing.

My daughter loves the nursery and has come on so much since starting 1 year ago.

My little boy has been attending Asquith Renfrew Day Nursery for 1 year, starting when he was 9 months old. He has always been happy and settled and as he gets bigger her gets excited when he is walking in and goes straight to play. The food is great and my son eats everything on the menu.
The staff
are friendly and all know my son very well. He loves coming to nursery and I feel more relaxed leaving him knowing he is enjoying himself.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.057)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.057) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Renfrew Early Learning and Childcare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.901 for Bright Horizons Renfrew Early Learning and Childcare is calculated as follows: ( (64 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 71 Ratings = 4.901
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.156 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Renfrew Early Learning and Childcare is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 54 number of registered child places is 10.8. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.8 = 0.556
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have worked at Milton Park for 9 years and joined back in 2011. I originally started as a nursery assistant and was instantly captivated by the exciting and rewarding environment of caring, supporting and equipping children for life.

I later completed my Early Childhood Studies degree at Oxford Brookes University in 2018. My role as an acting nursery manager is extremely rewarding. I can share my desire to provide high-quality care with the staff team, and parents and most importantly, deliver this to the children in our setting.
