I would highly recommend this nursery. The girls are all great with the children and it is clear from how happy my child is to go in by himself in the mornings, the positive relationships they have built with him. The communication has been excellent since we started the nursery and they always listen to parental concerns.
Our baby has been attending the nursery for about a year and I could not recommend it more. Absolutely all of the staff have been so wonderful in welcoming him and us and have created an environment that always makes him excited when he sees the front door and is greeted by the staff. Despite a significant amount of our time there having been impacted by Covid-19 and thus not being able to enter the nursery and with it periodically being shut in line with government regulation, they have done such a great job of keeping us updated on the developing situation. From emailing us, posting an online diary and pictures of our son and making us feel included. They also seem to have a significant amount of activities for the holidays and other special days and have recently expanded with a little outdoor play area as well. Our experience has been nothing but positive so far, would recommend!
I can’t fault anything about the nursery it has been fantastic. We are really happy and have recommended the nursery to friends. We have moved away from the area and are happy to make the journey so our daughter can stay. The staff are fantastic and she always seems happy when we pick her up. The team are so friendly and welcoming and we haven’t looked back since she joined. The online learning journal is a great bonus, it is really nice to see what they get up to during the day! We have found it really useful on working out what our daughter eats etc. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds and is becoming so much more confident! All I can say is thank you so much to the wonderful team! They are so friendly, caring and generally a lovely bunch of people! And thank you to the team for making it such an easy process, especially for being first-time parents! Fantastic nursery and could not recommend it more!
Since attending full time, my son (13 months) has really come into his own, he is eating better and always comes out with a smile on his face. The feedback we get from his keyworker is great as well, she is always very informative and genuine.
We have always been very happy with the nursery, but especially following the period of lockdown. Staff have worked really hard to settle our grandson back into nursery and he quickly settled and is clearly happy and thriving. He literally runs down the street to the door each morning. The staff know him well and give daily reports on how his day has been. They are very aware of his needs and interests. He is very engaged with the topics covered in his room and often comes home and explains in some detail what he has been learning - including some amazing vocabulary for a child his age. Staff are very warm and approachable and we feel they listen to us and are genuinely committed to providing first-rate care. All stages have been excellent, but we are particularly impressed with the pre-school work that is currently being done which will stand him in good stead for next August when he goes to school.
My Granddaughter started at New Town Nursery recently. She is 20 months old. We have been impressed with the warmth and caring attitudes of the staff and especially the manager, who has gone out of her way to help us. My granddaughter absolutely loves going into nursery in the mornings and settled in almost immediately. She does walks to the nearby gardens, lots of painting and drawing and very much enjoys her lunch there. The nursery has a very homely atmosphere and the staff obviously care greatly about the children and want to make sure that they enjoy their days with them. I would recommend New Town nursery to anybody considering nursery care for a young child.
The teachers are all so kind, professional and approachable. My daughter looks forward to seeing her teachers and always tells me lovely stories about her time with them and with her nursery friends at the end of each day.
I mentioned in the return to nursery form when the nursery re-opened after national lockdown that we had been working on writing her name and counting 1 to 20 but we weren't quite there yet. Within a matter of days she was coming home and doing this - I was so pleased that they had taken the time to help her with this one on one.
I have also noticed such a difference in her eating habits in the last year. Getting to try new and varied foods at nursery alongside her friends has made such a difference for us at mealtimes.
It is so nice to know that she is being so well cared for by such lovely staff when she is there.
My son started at New Town Nursery a month ago and we all like it. He settled in quickly and now enjoys his days there - he is always in a good mood after a day in nursery. The staff is great, they always take the time to pass on all the important information about his days at pickup.
The children go for walks to nearby parks, including the lovely Dean Gardens and the Botanics.
The management of the nursery has improved a lot over the months and currently, the turnover is low. The parents are kept up to date with newsletters and boards on the nursery and the staff are really reachable if anything needs to be discussed.
I have two children at this nursery and both are happy and well looked after which is of great comfort when you are leaving them for the day. The staff are kind, warm and professional. The nursery has benefitted from a refurbishment recently and there are plenty of toys and activities for the children. The children are out most days for local walks which I really welcome.
My child is very happy in this nursery and loves all the friends she has made and bonded very well with many of the friendly staff members. Overall our experience has been very positive. However, I have observed some teething problems with the nursery having changed ownership in 2017, resulting in a high staff turnover and low morale at times. I appreciate all the hard work the staff put in and cannot fault their dedication to the children.
- Online journal to view child's progress and activities through pictures and comments.
- In-house chef who cooks nice meals and also engages the children in cooking and baking activities.
- Numeracy and literacy seem to have stagnated lately. I don't know if it is just my child picking up things more slowly as she ages, or if intellectual activities have reduced generally.
Thank you for your review and comments, the nursery has gone through a period of change in the last twelve months since joining the Busy Bees family. During this time, some staff have moved on to new positions, some within the company, and some to further their career elsewhere, we have a dedicated...
