Acorns Llanishen is located in a grand Edwardian building with lots character. Outside, the building is surrounded by attractive, well-maintained gardens which prove to be a hit with visitors.

With lots of rooms for children, staff ensure that every day is filled with exciting and fun activities. Each nursery features large and inviting play rooms, full of natural light and decorated to reflect a calming atmosphere. It offers children a fun, learning environment, where they can develop their skills and imagination.

Situated between the villages of Lisvane and Llanishen, there is easy access to the local train station which lets the nursery's older children enjoy trips and visits to places of interest. Meanwhile, beautiful local parks and walks are perfect for the nursery's babies and younger children.

Absolutely faultless. This nursery has the highest of standards across the board and my husband and I couldn’t rate it enough. We were over the moon when our child received a place. She’s in her final year now and we will all be devastated when she leaves. It’s been her happy constant place for the
last three years. She always skips in and skips out chattering about what she’s done, which speaks volumes. The choice of activities are exceptional allowing each child to grow and develop educationally but in a fun and engaging way. The staff are friendly, caring which is a big plus and welcoming. We are so fond of this nursery and truly believe our daughter has developed great skills because of their passion and dedication to nurture each child. We’ll be sad for our daughter to say goodbye but equally happy to return when our son starts his Acorn Priory House (Llanishen) journey in September. In our eyes it’s the best start for our children and the best nursery in town. No other nursery comes close and it’s worth every penny.

My child is extremely happy attending Acorns Priory House (Llanishen). She has been at Acorns Priory House (Llanishen) since she was in the baby room and is now in the preschool.
She is always extremely happy and doesn’t take a glance back when I drop her off. She always comes home with lovely artwork
and talks about everything that she’s learnt. She particularly enjoys the new building for preschool where she can play indoors and outdoors with free choice as well as structured activities. She’s made some lovely bonds with her teachers and has lots of friendships. We’ll miss Acorns Priory House (Llanishen) a lot when she starts at school full time.

Fantastic nursery. Very caring staff, lots of fun, good educational element. Lots of outdoor play with numerous outdoor zones to play in. Good, daily feedback from staff and regular photo updates. Staff all know us and our little one well. Our little one has a great group of friends and would rather
go to nursery than stay home with us! Good food with lots of variety. Children get a chance to cook too.

Really happy with this nursery and although it's expensive, the experience we have received is faultless. Previously my 2 daughters attended this Acorns and a few others due to job/house moves. So when our son needed daycare we didn't consider any other settings and put his name down on the waiting
list. Although we can't enter Acorns due to the pandemic, I know the setting is cosy, with great activities and the best caring/attentive staff.

We are always welcomed with big smiles and happy staff. The interaction and communication have helped our little boy's social skills tremendously, as due to covid he's had no other interaction. Our daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her early years at Acorns Llanishen the staff for all age groups are fantastic. They care for the children as if they are their own. They teach, encourage and motivate the children using the excellent facilities available, namely outdoor classrooms, grassed areas,
play areas and forest school. The whole premises is of a high standard with regular maintenance taking place. The standard and selection of food for mealtimes and snacks is excellent, encouraging the children to try a variety of food types, would highly recommend as an excellent start for any child.

We have been delighted with the service Acorns Llanishen has provided. The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming and our little boy has loved every day he's spent at Acorns. He regularly comes home with paintings, cakes he's baked or stories about the outdoor activities he's enjoyed doing.
We will really miss all the staff at Acorns and the exceptionally friendly and professional service they provide. Thank you Acorns.

Like many parents, I felt very nervous about choosing where to send our son when I had to return to work. Our son has now been at Priory House for six months and I am still very impressed with the level of care he receives. Staff are unfalteringly warm and friendly. They've been incredibly supportive
to us as parents and to our son, especially when he was seriously ill. Our son has so many new experiences at nursery and his diet has definitely benefited from being offered a wide variety of food. There are currently daily paper feedback forms (soon to be electronic) and staff are always happy to talk through his day at pick up. Staff will seek verification if they don't recognise you at the door, which I find reassuring. They managed his transition into the next stage room really well and from my perspective, they regularly demonstrate child-centred care. I can see our son becoming more adventurous and confident which I believe in part is due to the nurture he receives at Priory House.

My daughter is currently attending the nursery upstairs. She loves going to the nursery and thoroughly enjoys all of the activities she does there. She always loves the outdoor play area. She always seems happy with all the staff that look after her and never cries when I leave her. I would highly recommend
the nursery to any parent looking for a childcare setting.

Friendly and welcoming staff with well-equipped premises and rooms. Excellent curriculum focus and learning for pre-school group. Always fun and interesting topics and activities. My child has attended Priory House Acorns (Llanishen) for 4 years. The whole time has been a wonderful experience for both of us. Her time has been filled with wonderful and educational activities. With a homely, clean environment and such loving, friendly staff it feels more like a home than a nursery.

Acorns nursery is truly reaching and surpassing all our expectations regarding learning, entertaining, looking after and helping to grow our little boy. But beyond that, they are always providing through games and new interesting tasks, expansion to their interests, talents, personality. The staff were
always ready to help with all our concerns in a constructive, gentle way. We just wish it could also be a bit cheaper so there we could afford to send him more than 3 days a week.

We’ve been Acorns parents for nearly three years now and would not consider sending our child anywhere else in these early years. The Priory House setting isn’t dissimilar to a five-star hotel! Impeccable service, the very highest of standards, which of course come at a price. That’s often the first
thing friends that don’t send their children to Acorns say to me “but it’s so expensive...”. Parents that do send their children to Acorns say “it’s worth every single penny”. We have no family support nearby and are entirely dependent on the care offered by the staff to our three-year-old daughter. We would be absolutely lost without each and every single one of them. From the housekeeper to the nursery manager, our daughter loves and is cared for by each of them.

This is a fantastic nursery. The staff are all warm, friendly, very caring and helpful. The range of activities they provide is fun, educational and stimulating. I love that they spent a lot of time outdoors - the garden, whatever the weather and when they arrive here it is a hive of different activities
spread out for them to choose from. I cannot recommend Acorns enough.

Lovely friendly Nursey with well thought out activities to develop and entertain the children. Group sizes are small which has helped my daughter to feel more settled and the staff listen to what the children have to say.

Becky has worked for Acorns since March 2002, she has been lucky to see many children grow and develop during her time at Acorns. She especially enjoys singing and storytelling with the children.
Becky has two grown up children and enjoys family time.
