Our son attended Building Blocks for nearly 4 years from 9 months through to starting reception. From the time he started, we never had any doubts that this was the right place for him. All of the staff are always friendly, welcoming and treated our son like family. The activities, facilities and meals provided were fantastic. He still misses the meals now!
You could always speak to a member of staff on the phone and e-mail communication was great with the manager always responding to any queries within a couple of hours. The staff also went above and beyond and were very flexible in catering to any requests such as the wrap-around care and school drop-offs.

Building Blocks has made him the friendly, confident and happy child he is today and we will be forever grateful for the time he spent there. I would highly recommend Building Blocks to anyone!

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time in Building Blocks. From the very first day she loved it. The staff really got to know her and her love of art and the outdoors. I used to love the fact she came home with so many different pictures she had drawn or created. I am extremely grateful for the care and attention she received and I would highly recommend to any parent.

I highly recommend Building Blocks Nursery. I was so sad to have my child leave for school. He thoroughly enjoyed his time here.

In comparison to other nurseries in the local area I’ve heard about, Building Blocks and their lovely staff take such good care of the children. The decorations and effort into activities are so wonderful to see.

Both our children have been to Building Blocks Nursery (one is now at school and one is still there). The staff are extremely knowledgeable and place the well-being of the children at the core of everything they do. My boy loved going to the nursery and my one-year-old girl runs there every day. I would recommend Building Blocks Nursery to any parent wanting the best start for their children.

My daughter has been there since 7 months and I couldn't be happier! She loves it there. The staff are friendly and supportive, working with me to ensure the best for my girl and everyone is approachable. The facilities are lovely and communication is easy and staff are responsive. They update with photos and regularly send crafts home.
Although it's an expense, it's easily the most competitive around and with the best time-to-cost ratio I've found.

I would absolutely recommend to everyone! And can't express how happy and impressed I am.

I used Building Blocks Nursery for my first child fourteen years ago. The standards are still extremely high and many of the same staff remain, which I feel is a strong sign of a happy workplace. The staff here work really hard. I feel they are as enthusiastic first thing in the morning as they are last thing at night. They are caring, kind and so accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Building Blocks Nursery, in fact, I do. Communication between staff is very good and the family app works really effectively with daily updates and lots of fab photos showing us parents the lovely and often very creative activities that frequently take place.

I have two children who attend the nursery. I feel the care and patience they show the children is outstanding. The children's learning is well supported and feedback from the staff from both face-to-face encounters and the 'family' app, ensures I feel fully updated on their day-to-day activities.

I honestly couldn't recommend the nursery enough. My son started with Building Blocks in 2020, and his development has come on leaps and bounds. The staff go above and beyond for all the children. My son has a great relationship with them and is excited to go in every morning. They are so caring, kind and nurturing and really make you feel part of the Building Blocks family. I will be sad to say goodbye when the time for him to go to big school comes. A huge thanks to the team for being so amazing.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 11 months old and absolutely loves it there. The staff are extremely caring and supportive and she has developed into a very happy and bright little girl and this is certainly down to the care and love of the staff! They provide nutritious meals, lots of fun activities for the children and I see nothing but happy smiling faces when I drop my daughter off and pick her up. I feel extremely lucky to have found this nursery after finding the return to work difficult and leaving the care of my daughter to others, they do such a wonderful job and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any parent.

This nursery looked after my son from four months to 3 1/2 yrs. He went in a baby and left a confident bright happy little boy. The work they did with him not only encouraged his confidence and personality but has helped him to become a very sharp boy who went into school with an understanding far ahead of where they expected. I'm so happy with this nursery and will be sending my daughter there this year. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who wants a loving and encouraging environment for their child to flourish in.

Both my boys came to the nursery from approximately 14 months and I would highly recommend it. All of the staff are caring, kind and have the health and safety at the forefront of everything they do. They encouraged development in all areas and continually communicated to me regarding my child's development which was a great help and reassurance, as my oldest child had very low confidence. With the nursery's ethos, care and support from the nursery, my children were well prepared for starting school.

Kaylie Dudding Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2005
Kaylie Dudding

Hello, I'm Kaylie, and I've been part of Building Blocks for 18 years. I started as a student during my CACHE Diploma Level 3 in childcare, and after college, I transitioned to full-time work here. Over the years, I've worked in all three rooms, collaborating with supervisors and nursery nurses to ensure the well-being of the children and provide engaging activities.

I achieved my Level 5 in Leadership and Management, leading to my appointment as Nursery Manager in January 2020. In this role, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, prioritizing the welfare of both the staff and the children. Responsibilities include maintaining updated policies, and procedures, and conducting thorough risk assessments.

My passion for working with children has always driven me, to help them learn and develop their unique personalities. At home, I am a parent of three, happily married for a decade. My life is quite busy, especially with my husband and 9-year-old involved in the drama group, and my youngest, a 7-year-old, progressing in karate from a yellow to an orange belt.

Natalie Watts Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2003
Natalie Watts

I'm Natalie Watts, 37 years old, residing in Rhondda Cynon Taff, and actively engaged in the field of childcare.

At 17, I completed my secondary education with 7 GCSEs and began my professional journey as an apprentice at Building Blocks. Over the years, I've progressed to the roles of Room Leader and Deputy Manager.

My choice to pursue a career as a Nursery Nurse stems from a passion for aiding children in their growth and development. The nurturing aspect of this profession resonates with me on a personal level.

Building strong connections during a child's early years is at the core of what I do. I genuinely believe that these bonds set the stage for positive outcomes in their learning, development, and growing independence.

Seeing those moments of growth and change is incredibly fulfilling, and I'm proud to play a part in making a positive impact as a Nursery Nurse.

On the academic front, I've successfully completed my NVQ Levels 3 and 5 in childcare, underscoring my commitment to continuous professional development.

Outside of work, I value quality time spent with my family, whether it be leisurely beach walks or exploring trampoline parks. Creating lasting memories with loved ones brings me joy.

Describing me? Think compassionate, caring, loyal, and trustworthy. And yes, I'm not afraid to get a little silly!

The kids at the nursery love it, and we always have a blast. Life's too short not to have some fun, right?

Louise Owen Job Title: Deputy Assistant Manager Joined: 2002
Louise Owen

Hi, I’m Louise, and I've dedicated nearly 22 years of my career to Building Blocks Nursery. I began right after college, stepping into the role of a nursery nurse. Over the years, my journey led me to the position of room leader in the Baby room. Here, my responsibilities include crafting engaging activities that contribute to the comprehensive development of the infants under my care.

I'm fortunate to collaborate with an exceptional team that ensures a secure environment for the little ones to learn through play.

Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, I seized the opportunity to enhance my skills. Completing my level 5 management course paved the way for me to step into the role of Assistant Deputy Manager. In this capacity, I closely collaborate with the management team, providing support for the day-to-day operations of the nursery.

Caring has always been a fundamental aspect of my nature. Beyond my responsibilities at the nursery, I extend my caregiving to a family member coping with health challenges at home.

Outside of work, I enjoy going on lots of outdoor adventures with my dog to improve my fitness and health. I also love spending time at my caravan in West Wales and socialising with good friends...

Helen Green

Hi! I’m Helen, a Rhondda Valley local bringing over two decades of experience to Building Blocks Nursery. Currently, I serve as the Supervisor of Little Discoverers, overseeing the unique developmental journey of children transitioning from baby to preschool.

My educational journey includes studies at LLwnypia College and the achievement of an NNEB qualification. As a room supervisor, I thrive on collaborating with our dedicated staff, creating an environment of mutual support and growth.

The most rewarding aspect of my role is witnessing each child's individual growth and personality development. I love listening to their stories and gaining insights into their perspectives on the world.

Outside of work, you'll find me immersed in music, enjoying a good read, and enjoying moments with family and friends.
