The toddler room, Little Discoverers, caters up to 12 children from 15 - 18 months up to 28 months old, aligning with the 'Birth to Three Matters' framework. This approach encourages children to embrace independence, develop preferences, and enhance their self-expression skills.
The Top Room, Big Adventurers, is designed for 19 preschool children up to 4/5 years old. In this room, every child is empowered to be independent, express themselves effectively, and attend to their personal needs.
Throughout the nursery, the team works in partnership with parents to ensure each child realises their full potential. Child-led activities, blending enjoyment with education, nurture independence, confidence, self-worth, and a strong sense of belonging.
The meticulously crafted menus, snacks, and beverages prioritise a healthy beginning to life. All food is freshly prepared on-site, accommodating special diets, vegetarians, and those with allergies.

I highly recommend this nursery. The staff are amazing. They have made my transition back to work so easy with the settle in days and the daily/weekly posts show that she is getting on well. It is good to know that my daughter has settled in really well and is cared for to a high and professional standard. The care that she receives is amazing and she now gets excited when we pull up. The staff have always got a smile on their face and very friendly and approachable.

Both of my daughters attended Building Blocks and we couldn't have been happier with the nursery, we often still recommend it to people and kept our youngest there for a year after we stopped working close by because of the supportive environment and how settled she was with the staff and other children. The staff are incredible, dedicated and caring and always attentive to the children's needs. The food was varied and it was always great to hear the different foods the children were eating during the day and the range of activities they engaged with. Couldn't recommend more highly. We miss it now!

When my child first started here, they found it very difficult to settle in. It took a while and they were only attending once a week, however, the staff at the nursery were amazing, they were welcoming, always happy, and very helpful. I could see the difference in my child when they finished, from speech to knowing lots of new things and making lots of friends. The app was always kept up to date throughout the day which was really helpful. The handover at the door was amazing, they would go into detail about how my child was throughout the day. My child is a fussy eater, but the nursery managed to get my child to try new things and eat the food they provided, if my child didn’t eat the food they allowed me to provide a packed lunch just in case as a backup.
I would recommend Building Blocks Nursery to anyone who is looking for a nursery for their child. They are amazing. The staff have a lot of patience and are always happy. 10/10 from me to everyone who works at the nursery.

Unsure of his start date of attending Building Blocks Nursery but wow what a fantastic team and establishment. The staff are very professional and I am always greeted with a warm welcome. My son would love to go to nursery and I noticed his speech and his overall general learning and behaviour have expanded for the better all due to Building Blocks Nursery. He is enjoying school and that's all thanks to Building Blocks Nursery, I can't thank them enough for the first start they have given my son, I will be forever grateful.
Although I felt uneasy leaving him at first, I was always reassured and even contacted just to let me know he was okay. The app was a godsend.

Our son attended Building Blocks for nearly 4 years from 9 months through to starting reception. From the time he started, we never had any doubts that this was the right place for him. All of the staff are always friendly, welcoming and treated our son like family. The activities, facilities and meals provided were fantastic. He still misses the meals now! You could always speak to a member of staff on the phone and e-mail communication was great with the manager always responding to any queries within a couple of hours. The staff also went above and beyond and were very flexible in catering to any requests such as the wrap-around care and school drop-offs.
Building Blocks has made him the friendly, confident and happy child he is today and we will be forever grateful for the time he spent there. I would highly recommend Building Blocks to anyone!

My daughter has been there since 7 months and I couldn't be happier! She loves it there. The staff are friendly and supportive, working with me to ensure the best for my girl and everyone is approachable. The facilities are lovely and communication is easy and staff are responsive. They update with photos and regularly send crafts home. Although it's an expense, it's easily the most competitive around and with the best time-to-cost ratio I've found.
I would absolutely recommend to everyone! And can't express how happy and impressed I am.

The staff here work really hard. I feel they are as enthusiastic first thing in the morning as they are last thing at night. They are caring, kind and so accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Building Blocks Nursery, in fact, I do. Communication between staff is very good and the family app works really effectively with daily updates and lots of fab photos showing us parents the lovely and often very creative activities that frequently take place.

I honestly couldn't recommend the nursery enough. My son started with Building Blocks in 2020, and his development has come on leaps and bounds. The staff go above and beyond for all the children. My son has a great relationship with them and is excited to go in every morning. They are so caring, kind and nurturing and really make you feel part of the Building Blocks family. I will be sad to say goodbye when the time for him to go to big school comes. A huge thanks to the team for being so amazing.

Hello, I'm Kaylie, and I've been part of Building Blocks for 18 years. I started as a student during my CACHE Diploma Level 3 in childcare, and after college, I transitioned to full-time work here. Over the years, I've worked in all three rooms, collaborating with supervisors and nursery nurses to ensure the well-being of the children and provide engaging activities.
I achieved my Level 5 in Leadership and Management, leading to my appointment as Nursery Manager in January 2020. In this role, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, prioritizing the welfare of both the staff and the children. Responsibilities include maintaining updated policies, and procedures, and conducting thorough risk assessments.
My passion for working with children has always driven me, to help them learn and develop their unique personalities. At home, I am a parent of three, happily married for a decade. My life is quite busy, especially with my husband and 9-year-old involved in the drama group, and my youngest, a 7-year-old, progressing in karate from a yellow to an orange belt.

At 17, I completed my secondary education with 7 GCSEs and began my professional journey as an apprentice at Building Blocks. Over the years, I've progressed to the roles of Room Leader and Deputy Manager.
My choice to pursue a career as a Nursery Nurse stems from a passion for aiding children in their growth and development. The nurturing aspect of this profession resonates with me on a personal level.
Building strong connections during a child's early years is at the core of what I do. I genuinely believe that these bonds set the stage for positive outcomes in their learning, development, and growing independence.
