We are extremely happy with the care and support our two sons have received at this nursery. Our elder son has attended since January 2023, and our younger son joined in November 2024 at just 6 months old. The staff are kind, caring, and supportive, taking time to understand each child's needs. Our shy elder son has become more confident and expressive, with a big improvement in his English communication. The nursery has helped both children develop confidence, independence, and social skills. It truly feels like a second home, and we highly recommend it.

Our little boy has been attending Building Blocks for nearly a year now and I cannot recommend this nursery enough!
The staff are all extremely friendly and have all taken the time to build relationships with us as parents and with our little boy, even those that do not work in the room he is in. You are always greeted with a friendly face at the start and end of each day.
The updates we receive via the app and on pick up are always detailed and very helpful.

Our little boy has come on so much since attending Building Blocks and he can't wait to attend each day!

The nursery has been so supportive with all milestones especially potty training! I love all the art & crafts my daughter brings home and I love how proudly she loves to show them off. All staff members are so friendly and so welcoming!

I really really can't recommend Building Blocks nursery enough!!! Knowing that my little girl is well cared for, having fun, is safe and nurtured made my transition back to work so much easier. She doesn't even look back at us to say goodbye when we drop her off in the mornings, she just rushes through the doors to start her day. The updates throughout the day are so so appreciated and the safeguarding standards held are second to none.

I have seen a massive change in my daughters confidence, speech, social and motor skills since being at the nursery. We both feel honestly feel very lucky to be able to send her to Building Blocks nursery and feel like we're a part of their family and that they genuinely care for her above and beyond it just being a part of their job.

My daughter has been attending for over a year and loves to go every week! They have helped her to develop into a happy, strong, caring and smart child. They complete assessments with her and so many wonderful activities that she loves. They take her out on walks and outdoor play. Her walking and talking developed incredibly fast by attending nursery and she loves the diverse meals that they give her. The staff are always supporting us as parents with anything new or that we're unsure of. For example, when we potty trained my daughter, the staff gave us so much support I had no concerns for her in nursery and it helped us to manage at home. I cannot recommend the nursery enough for any child. It is absolutely wonderful and we look forward to sending our unborn son too!

We love the Building Blocks nursery- both people & facility. Our little girl has been in each of the rooms from baby to pre-school and enjoyed every one. She has created beautiful bonds with the staff and children. Her development has come on leaps and bounds being there 3 days a week. The nursery are regularly improving the facilities, often you'll see new deliveries of new toys, new furniture etc. The outdoor area has also improved massively with cover from the Welsh Weather. We'll be very sorry for our daughter to have to move on as building blocks have been fab- and would consider them for any future siblings!

Our daughter loves it at building blocks and has really bonded with the staff there. Everyone is always really smiley and chatty and they do lots of activities with the kids and send weekly pictures so parents feel like they are involved.
I feel like there is a wide range of food offered to the children and our daughter seems to really enjoy the food to. She has real come along in her language and confidence too!

I have put cleanliness as 4 out of 5 because our daughter gets ill a lot since started but I believe this to be the case with every nursery and I know staff try their best to disinfect play areas!

I cannot thank the staff at Building Blocks enough for the wonderful care provided. My son attended for 1 year (Sept 2024-2025) & had an amazing experience. The dedication to learning and growth through structured activities brought him on so much developmentally. Communication was second to none, with regular updates daily. He absolutely floroushed in his time here, and has never eaten so well with the delicious, nutritious meals provided! He built so many lovely relationships in his time at Building Blocks also. In short ~ Building Blocks is the best!

My daughter attended this nursery for 2 years and absolutely loved it! Her development excelled tremendously, and she is now more than ready to attend school. They also provided plenty of information and reassurance for the parents with photos and what times, how much and what they eat during meal times too.
Will definitely be sending our 2nd born to this nursery when I return back to work.

Many thanks Building Blocks!

Kaylie Dudding
Kaylie DuddingJob Title:Nursery ManagerJoined: 2005

Hello, I'm Kaylie, and I've been part of Building Blocks for 18 years. I started as a student during my CACHE Diploma Level 3 in childcare, and after college, I transitioned to full-time work here. Over the years, I've worked in all three rooms, collaborating with supervisors and nursery nurses to ensure the well-being of the children and provide engaging activities.

I achieved my Level 5 in Leadership and Management, leading to my appointment as Nursery Manager in January 2020. In this role, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, prioritizing the welfare of both the staff and the children. Responsibilities include maintaining updated policies, and procedures, and conducting thorough risk assessments.

My passion for working with children has always driven me, to help them learn and develop their unique personalities. At home, I am a parent of three, happily married for a decade. My life is quite busy, especially with my husband and 9-year-old involved in the drama group, and my youngest, a 7-year-old, progressing in karate from a yellow to an orange belt.

Natalie Watts
Natalie WattsJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2003

I'm Natalie Watts, 37 years old, residing in Rhondda Cynon Taff, and actively engaged in the field of childcare.

At 17, I completed my secondary education with 7 GCSEs and began my professional journey as an apprentice at Building Blocks. Over the years, I've progressed to the roles of Room Leader and Deputy Manager.

My choice to pursue a career as a Nursery Nurse stems from a passion for aiding children in their growth and development. The nurturing aspect of this profession resonates with me on a personal level.

Building strong connections during a child's early years is at the core of what I do. I genuinely believe that these bonds set the stage for positive outcomes in their learning, development, and growing independence.

Seeing those moments of growth and change is incredibly fulfilling, and I'm proud to play a part in making a positive impact as a Nursery Nurse.

On the academic front, I've successfully completed my NVQ Levels 3 and 5 in childcare, underscoring my commitment to continuous professional development.

Outside of work, I value quality time spent with my family, whether it be leisurely beach walks or exploring trampoline parks. Creating lasting memories with loved ones brings me joy.

Describing me? Think compassionate, caring, loyal, and trustworthy. And yes, I'm not afraid to get a little silly!

The kids at the nursery love it, and we always have a blast. Life's too short not to have some fun, right?

Louise Owen
Louise OwenJob Title:Deputy Assistant ManagerJoined: 2002

Hi, I’m Louise, and I've dedicated nearly 22 years of my career to Building Blocks Nursery. I began right after college, stepping into the role of a nursery nurse. Over the years, my journey led me to the position of room leader in the Baby room. Here, my responsibilities include crafting engaging activities that contribute to the comprehensive development of the infants under my care.

I'm fortunate to collaborate with an exceptional team that ensures a secure environment for the little ones to learn through play.

Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, I seized the opportunity to enhance my skills. Completing my level 5 management course paved the way for me to step into the role of Assistant Deputy Manager. In this capacity, I closely collaborate with the management team, providing support for the day-to-day operations of the nursery.

Caring has always been a fundamental aspect of my nature. Beyond my responsibilities at the nursery, I extend my caregiving to a family member coping with health challenges at home.

Outside of work, I enjoy going on lots of outdoor adventures with my dog to improve my fitness and health. I also love spending time at my caravan in West Wales and socialising with good friends...

The most rewarding aspect of my role is witnessing each child's individual growth and personality development. I love listening to their stories and gaining insights into their perspectives on the world.

Outside of work, you'll find me immersed in music, enjoying a good read, and enjoying moments with family and friends.
