S4YC @ Rocking Horse Day Nursery

I was slightly nervous following the takeover but can honestly say how happy I am with the nursery and the teachers who take care of my little girl. She’s come on leaps and bounds since attending and loves her days there. It makes it easier seeing how happy she is from the photos on the app and tracking of what she’s ate/slept. The staff are all friendly and helpful so could not recommend more, thank you.

Great experience so far. Our little girl is in the babies room and each day participates in developmental activities to which we have noticed has helped her develop greatly since attending. Clean facilities, experienced and friendly teachers and regular updates which is nice to see how she is getting on each day.

The staff are all brilliant, my child loves them all and loves his days in nursery, he never wants to come home! I love seeing the activities the children have got up to that day on the app, the recent improvements to the rooms and the outdoor spaces show that S4YC are committed to investing in the nursery, and the children’s development which is really refreshing. It’s nice to have a monthly update on everything and the changes that are taking place. Everyone is approachable and happy to help and have a chat. Well done guys!

My child has attended Rocking Horse for over a year. The previous owners were fantastic and could tell all the staff really enjoyed working there. Despite the initial challenges following S4YC's takeover of Rocking Horse, the transition appears to be settling down. Not a fan of the new food menu compared to the old one as there seemed to be a lot more variety before, however, I'm really happy with Rocking Horse. The staff are great, as is the new manager and my child is happy, she eats and sleeps well and I feel she is well looked after and enjoys her days at nursery.

The nursery staff are brilliant and my son always loves his days there. Plenty of outdoor activities, which he loves, mixed with indoor messy play. Staff can’t be faulted however communication by the company is weak, monthly staff changes which aren’t communicated to parents, no consistency. Too many methods of emails/apps/messages that key info is often missed and email communication re payments would be easier via direct phone communication. Sadly the personal/family feel of Rocking Horse has gone.

All the staff here are absolutely fantastic they go above and beyond! My daughter requires a bit of extra support and the staff here support her so much. She also is a fussy eater and the chief and the staff are amazing by finding something else for her to eat if she isn’t keen on the menu that day. The cleanness of that nursery is pristine my daughter goes here once a week and she looks forward to it each week. She walks into nursery with a smile and walks out with one too which is lovely for me to see she is so happy and enjoys her time here. My child has appointments with health professionals and the staff always like to know where we're up to with the appointments so it’s lovely the staff show such an interest in my child’s life and needs outside of nursery. The staff are very approachable and easy to talk to always open the door with a smile and are very welcoming. I don’t think there’s anything I can fault within the nursery or the staff.

I have nothing but positive things to say about S4YC @ Rocking Horse Day Nursery. The staff, facilities and the feedback we receive on our daughter's developments have been outstanding since day one, every day my daughter comes home to tell us what a fantastic time she had!

I moved my daughter to S4YC @ Rocking Horse in June last year and have never looked back. The staff are amazing here. I always feel relaxed on drop off and pick up, knowing that she is cared for like family as if my own family were looking after her. My daughter looks forward to going there and has come on so much in her development.

We were worried about the recent changes, but the staff are fantastic, and she loves it in rainbows. We get great feedback. Would be worthwhile having sessions with the parents to talk more about the child’s development.

My son attends S4YC Rocking Horse Day Nursery. He is 2 years old and he loves his time here. He engages in all the activities and his learning, speech and basic life skills have been influenced because of this nursery. The staff are amazing, from the welcome at the door to the goodbye as we leave. My son has made the 'wow board' this week. He loves all his peers but mostly the staff who he feels supported by every day. I would like to thank the nursery for their continued effort in making my son become the best version of himself.

My daughter has absolutely loved coming to nursery recently, the staff are wonderful with her and there are certain members of staff that she adores and looks forward to seeing every time she comes in. I feel happy that she has her needs met while she's in nursery and is having a well-balanced day. I think the food used to be better before it changed to S4YC but my daughter seems to like it so at least she is eating. I'd also like it to be more easily available to see what she's eating each day. The nursery manager is lovely, but I'm not a fan of the system used to book sessions and pay etc.

With the uncertainty following the takeover and multiple staff changes, I’m pleased to say that I’m seeing an improvement now new staff have settled in and bringing new ideas to the nursery - trips out to the park/ local farm and regularly planned activities. My daughter is always happy when dropping off and picking up - which is the main thing for me.
